Its such a blast watching you make these cards. Watercolor mixing is my fav. Because its so magical. Talk about digging up some treasures, lol. Really gorgeous results. 🎨

Coming back for a refresher course, and this time I’m taking notes! Your prints are almost unbelievably gorgeous. It is so helpful, not to mention very entertaining, to be able to return and get reinspired all over again.

This is such an awesome technique! I’m so impressed with what you were able to do with a) watercolors and b) black acrylic. Also I’m very jealous of your giant plate. Also every time you lift the cards the sound makes me think you’re chewing gum very loudly lol.
Anyway these look really beautiful and quite different from other gel plate effects I’ve seen. Really cool.

These were really nice. I’d just put my stuff away from a session this AM where I was working on some image transfers (magazine images) but I think I will grab the watercolors and do some more.
Love these cards!!! I have trouble with my cards tearing because my plate seems dry. How to you get your plate to be sticky so that does not happen? Thanks

Hi Robyn. Because you went over the cards with acrylic paint will that “seal” the watercolor? I love the watercolor applied but want to make sure it won’t come off. Thank you.

What are glaze colors
I have a technique which I call "glazing" it involves pulling micro thin layers which will add a desired patina to your prints. To accomplish this I use certain inexpensive craft acrylic paints I recommend DecoArt champagne gold Martha Stewart champagne as a couple examples, however any mettalic that doesn't have a lot of pigment in them that are in the gold, silver tonal range will work...Thx for asking :)
