- Some Customs brokers claiming they should not be blamed for corruption in the bureau. This is in response to President Duterte's remarks that he wants brokers and examiners out of the agency as they are sources of corruption.
Automation. Remove all human intervention.
For any organization to be efficient and effective, remove all bureaucratic structure that is redundant and full of unnecessary regulators that encourage corruption in the long run. Make the structure of such institution LEAN and FLAT. This way decisions can be made faster and accountability can be easily identified.
No more brokers in any Department Agency the Philippine government. Computerised all transactions or pay online direct payment to Central Bank of the Philippines.
Tama k dyan. D2 sa UAE ang mga companies ang mag apply sa UAE customs for their import number online. At pag mag import ang company diretso bayad ng customs tax online o ang magclear ang courier companies.
I doubt if the govt would allow that. They will lose their personal revenues. 😂

Yes, definitely LCB/license customs broker are not to blame. They are not corrupt they merely rely on what importers documents and/or shipping documents relayed to them. Their eyes are not XRAYS.. my goodness....

Well and done so publish the names of corrupted Brokers....and make sure they are not connected with insiders...and no fixers...
I hope the president makes the change quickly cuz the curruption is costing the Filipino people so very much cuz they have to pay off the customs officials or get their imports held up at the port and have to pay an enormous fee to bet them out. So pay up front or pay more later. Please Mr. President make these changes quickly. If changes are made prices of many things will go down across the country. God Bless

Make it all online or change the system to full automation....with automation there is digital tracking..and corruption shall be eliminated......move fast....

hindi nyo kasi pinag-aralan kaya hindi nyo maiintindihan. It’s written in the law that brokers’ declarations are based mainly on the documents handed to him by the importer. If ur a broker in ph malalaman mo ba kung ano yung laman ng container hangga’t di pa dumadating dto sa ph? pag subject to inspection nalang nalalaman kung totoo o hindi yung declared goods. Get ur facts together bago kayo magsalita.
and if u may or may not know Customs officials/officers (people working in the bureau) aren’t all Customs brokers. saan ba nagkakaroon ng lagayan? sa bureau dba? di naman makakalusot ang mga shipments kung hindi sila nagpapalagay. Most Customs Officials/Officers are from different professions nakapasok lang sa bureau because of having influential backers.
We all know corruption is endemic in the Philippines and it will take a long time and a lot of work to control it. Unfortunately we have the worst both worlds at the moment ; still corruption in the BOC and Brokers plus the inefficiencies whilst trying to control the system
So who should we blame?. The bribes end up with brokers and examiners anyway. Do what has to be done.

Customs brokers hindi pwedeng di masama sa kurapsyon.Kasi pag nagmamadali na mailabas kung ano mang epektos meron siyang nilalakad ay di maiwasan ang padulas.At di naman tatanggihan ng empleyado tiyak.Para matigil,wag silang magpadulas,tamang proseso at sa empleyado ng Customs,trabahuhin ang dapat na trabaho at wag mag antay ng padulas bago kumilos.Sa madaling salita,sabi ni Mayor Isko ay wag ng pairalin ang maling sistema sa buhay.Sa ibang ahensya ng gobyerno ay ganoon din,walang fixer.
