Three weeks following face lift and felt ready to massage, this was so helpful. My surgeon advised massaging but not given how. This is fantastic advice. 🤗🤗
Very helpful, very comprehensive. The best video! Thank you very much! I’m doing it for a couple of days and already all the swellings are getting better.
Thank you , Petra ! This is a great video! Question: Have you worked with a facelift patient that had a tubular ridge left from the drain tubes? Mine are on both sides of my face and down into my neck. I have been told that this is normal and subsides in a "few weeks". I would appreciate your experience with this if you've run across this before. Thanks!
My deep plane neck/face/brow lift is now three weeks to the day, and my neck is the only part of left that is still swollen, right under my jaw, where the whole Lymphatic area sits, and I and most definitely ready to start the drainage, like NOW. It's all so tight.
How are you getting on. I had a deep plane and neck and I have a large amount swelling under my chin that looks like fat. It's stressing. How are you now
@@jde9711 I also had a deep plane face/neck/brow lift exactly three weeks ago today, so I'm starting the massaging today. Is it working out for you? Everything healed so quickly on my face, but the whole lymphatic area under my jaw, it is so swollen and tough. One side has cleared up more than the other side on it own, so I really need to focus more on one side. I pray this works.
Thank you for your video, it has helped me a lot. I do have a question on the forehead at the end of eyebrows on both sides , I have a loose skin just like a blister ( I am in my 6week now ) do you think it will go if I continue doing massage? You can not see it but it feels like blister , can you help ? Thank you 🙏
Is the compression bandage good for helping with the lymphatic drainage? I’m three weeks today from my facelift and sides of my face and neck feels like concrete. My surgeon says it’s normal but it’s definitely uncomfortable and I’d like to speed it along if I can.
@@petraerving1854 thank you so much for your reply. How often should I do the lymphatic massage and how much pressure. I feel like I’m not applying enough. I have been walking and trying to make sure I don’t sit for long periods. My neck and behind my ears are still swollen and super hard. Again, with the lipo under my chin and facelift I was told all is progressing normally. It will be one month in a few days. I guess I just didn’t expose the hardness. Thank you again and thank you so much for this video. I felt some relief after doing it.
I am now three weeks in from my deep plane neck/face/ brow lift, and the only part left to heal is my neck area, below the jaw. And YES, you're correct when you say it feels like concrete! It really scared me. I hope the massaging works. I'm going in for my one month check up with surgeon next week, and they're going to show my how to do lymphatic drainage, but I can't wait, I have to do something now, because I'm terrified it's never going to go away. How did it work out for you? Any tips?
Thank you for this video. The swelling in my neck is so much that I started getting worried it literally feels like the fluid pressure is blocking blood flow in my carotid arteries 😂 funny side note, a dangerous drinking game while watching this video would be to take a shot every time you say the word “here” lol
It looks straightforward, but looks can be deceiving. You need to use a specific pressure and differing strokes so you're effectively accessing the lymphatics. It all comes down to whether you want an educated and knowledgeable specialist do your treatment which will directly benefit your recovery and ultimately the outcome of your procedure. Your surgeon recommended you have it done for a reason. Your surgery is only half of the surgical journey. A good recovery is equally as important. But, of course, its entirely your choice.

I'm glad you found it helpful 😃
Thank you for the explanation of post facelift issues and how, where and why to massage. Very much appreciated!
You're very welcome
Beautifully done !!

Thank you. Most informative of all the ones I’ve watched.

Glad you said to wait until 3 weeks. I was thinking sooner. Whew.
@@Spiceydame you should have a therapist treat you before 3 weeks.
Thank you so much for this ,I suffer from severe allergies and sinus
This would help alot
You're welcome 😊
How long are you suppose to massage each area
Hi will this work after chin lipo ?
Thank you- just had a neck lift and swelling is driving me nuts. Your instructions and urge to be gentle are very helpful

I don't know if I have been massaging to hard at the 7 week mark. Would this have made the scar or swelling worse.

Hey 👋 sorry I'm only replying now. I've been offline for a while. How are things progressing now?
Still the same, can you help?
The best video! 👏🏻
Can you show us a lym. massage after eyelid surgery?

Yes, wearing compression will help, along with using some textured foam on the hard areas.

How many minutes do you spend going this, and how many times a day? Thanks
Once a day for 20 - 30min
Thank you ❤

My surgeon suggested lymphatic massage-at his office 4 for $500! Nope! From what I’m seeing this massage is straight forward and I can do myself.
