This is very nice and easy to follow. I am wondering, are you using a zigzag stitch on all parts of the dress? Or do you use a straight stitch on places that don’t need to stretch, such as the shoulders, the sides and the bottom hem? Thanks for your amazing tutorial and free pattern for this cute, fun dress! 😊
Absolutely amazing. Will be making these in polyester knit so that it will be washable and no ironing necessary. Whit if I want longer sleeves, I have a tattoo above my elbow that I hate, is there a sleeve adjustment available?
Looks great and seems quite easy to do in knit. I may use a walking foot. Is it possible to make a facing for the neck, or would it not stretch enough? what would you think to me making the skirt less flared eg 1/2 - 2/3 do you think it might work? Not sure I can see myself in such a flared skirt.
I like this dress very much and your instructions. When you say a stretchy stitch do you mean zig zag stitch? I love this as an everyday sundress type dress. So many accessories and color options can be used with this like a black and white dot bodice and bright red skirt or like you did with a giraffe type fabric. Thank you so much for this.
+Vivienne W (Summer Sun) I do cut the edges, that's why I like a 1/2 inch seam allowance. My serger has a 1/2 inch line, so I follow that to get a nice seam and it trims the excess away.
+Deby Coles oh I see, I was wondering how to do it, as you can tell I am a complete novice, I'm going to source some fabric and give it a try its really lovely on you.....god knows what it will turn out like 😀
+Vivienne W (Summer Sun) It's not too hard, but do practice your stitches on some fabric remnants first if you are new to sewing with stretch fabrics. I hope you'll share once its finished.
@@SoSewEasy some sergers allow you to fold the knife away or run material along side edge of knife and or move needle position. i would possibly sew on machine then overlock/serge tomy liking
Hi Debbie. I am not computer friendly. is there anyway I can download some of the free patterns to my email. so that I can print. them from my email . thank you. cynthia
+Cynthia Boyce Not really Cynthia, you have to download them from the Craftsy site. They do send you a link to the download in your email, but the pattern isn't sent as an attachment. It's really very simple. Perhaps you can get someone to show you how the first time and then you'll know what to do.
Hey!! wonderful space! Thank you all for sharing!!!!

How do I lengthen the sleeves, please?
is the 0.5 in seam allowance is already added to the pattern?
what? And this neckline isn't going to stretch being like that? Nothing to stabilize it?
great video!
Great video instructions. Really helpful, thank you.
What pattern pieces are you using
This is amazing :) Thank you so soo much!
Lovely dress, how do you stop your serger from cutting the edges as you sew ?

Hi, Is the circular skirt cut on a 360* angle or is it on a 180* angle cut? I thank you in advance for your response.
Thank you love it as always.
