You are right singing like this is so regular we only start to appreciate it more when other people like you appreciate them. I mean we might have appreciated good singing but not to the extent where we find them golden. It was only when we realized that not everybody does it (in the world) that this was unique to the philippines.
ABS-CBN and GMA started collaborating first with the Unbreak My Heart Series, second Showtime at. GTV which is another channel of GMA, just recently the official signing of contract by between abs and gma to house Showtime show on GMA 7, main channel of GMA.. A heartwarming event and the war of the giant Filipino channels has ended..
actually 2nd contract is when GMA and ABS CBN signed for the Star Cinema Movie to be showed on GMA ☺️

Actually, the 2 top filipino channel (ABS-CBN and GMA) is currently having collaborations when it comes to their shows. In fact Showtime will be air on GMA, starting April 6 as a tv noontime show. Also, the president of GMA already announced that, the tv war is already ended since Showtime entered GTV (channel owned by GMA) on July 1, 2023 last year.

When pinoy singer sings at the malls, it's called Mall Show, they do this to promote their movies, shows or album or maybe just hired by the mall owners for a certain event. A lot of better singers here are very underrated, that if you really compare them internationally, I thought that they would have a place there and can do way better.
They used to do this a lot in North America during the 80s and 90s. I think the key word is “bigla.” 😉
