Totally overcame BPD years ago, it's amazing how you forget the chaos that was in the mind.

I’m getting there too. I was diagnosed and received not help at all from the psychiatrist or the hospital, even though healthcare is supposed to be free. Well done you though.

@@ellebelle7003 cleaned up my diet, got a good sleep routine, made thousands of mistakes and learnt from each time trying to make the next time better until it became a habit how I responded going from a reaction to a response. Gave up drinking, smoking, fast food, BPD is a nightmare and I just wanted it gone because of the grief it gave me

Thank you for this video ❤ A lot of videos on mental health only provide information about the problems but never give solutions. I really appreciate you sharing an action plan on how to deal with mental illness.

I have to tell you Dr Fox that you've helped me so much with your videos that right now I am 42 years old and living by myself for the very first time I am disabled I have MS and I believe I have borderline tendencies I haven't been diagnosed yet because I'm having financial issues because my husband of 17 years and 24 years together decided that he didn't want to be married anymore so we got a divorce and I'm living by myself now on just my disability payments monthly and you know my rent takes up most of that but I feel good I have a boyfriend now he lives down the road but we have known each other since we were six and it's just wonderful and he helps me cuz I can't drive and with all the other things that I really can't do and it's just amazing I feel good about myself and that I can do this I know I can do this and just cleaning up little things and putting stuff away makes me feel accomplished I did something that day so thank you Dr Fox for giving us such good information❤

Agreed. Having good emotional intelligence helps a lot. I use a lot of mirror work and talk to myself in a positive way to boost my confidence. It’s not a quick fix and happens over time, but if you use phrases like ‘ I love and care for you more than anything else’ can really help a lot if you repeat it a lot. I’ve been practicing this for quite a while and have learned to be on my own side more than I have ever been.

Hey, I figured it out by myself & yes I did the same, but I find it devastating to know that self-validation is the only thing we know & social invalidation & validation come up with a price to pay with our own mental health, so you still don't have the right emotions & your own voice, but the rest of the world is human & free to express but you aren't allowed to be a human whatsoeva

i love journalling! and a piece of advice i’d give others that wanna give it a shot is that you don’t necessarily need to have a goal in mind. it can help for sure but if something is troubling you, you don’t have to write until you have a solution. writing it out gives you space for that solution to come in time. journalling begins the process of processing and the brain naturally catches on IN TIME! for me it can take WEEKS to feel relieved.
also journal as much as you can even about things that aren’t troubling you. things that interest you or you’re grateful for. it just helps you think with more clarity. also give you something to do while you wait for the bus 😆
there’s tons of methods out there; some will work for you, others won’t! but the game changer for me was letting go of the goal of a solution or instantaneous catharsis. that can often complicate what is literally just dumping your thoughts somewhere.
    all the best!

I'm a good listener--sometimes I resent it--but honestly, I find I need to listen even more and talk even less. When it comes to understanding people, and getting along with them, it's the best skill you can have. Everyone wants to talk, but so few want or are able to listen. (You do need a good partner, and if lucky a good friend or two, who will also REALLY listen to you.)

You don't need to be perfect. If it's good enough, then it's fine.
Change the narrative in your head.
Walk if you're able. Channel that nervous energy.

I find validating yourself is soothing. So if one has bps or bpd traits have compassion for yourself. You’ve been hurt deeply hence your nervous system was hurt; you aren’t “bad” it’s your body’s natural response to adverse experiences in childhood. That helps me with relieving any shame that comes up. It’s tough but we can get through this. I have Dr Fox’s blue workbook and it is helpful but I’m using it in conjunction with therapy.👍🏻

Affirmations are you able to put together 7 affirmations regarding healing BPD, Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, etc. on cards since Affirmations are very powerful and they set the tone as “though it has already happened” and you Feel it within Self as it’s Spoken out in a mirror. I’m on my way to be Accessed for BPD and ADHD. You should look into TM Self just saying.
