Man, i love your work and inspire me to learn Inkscape. I wonder how could you cut the shape in the minute 0:38 and keep the darkest part (third shape) without erase the second shape. I try but I can't figure it out. Thank you!
Use Path - Intersection, but don't forget to duplicate the shape

I'll think about it, but I have to say that the video is very fast-paced, so a keyboard display might not be very helpful.
A person watching could always lower the speed in a passage they want to understand better :)
