Hey. Apologies for the lack of videos the last couple of months. I was suffering from tendonitis and could only play games with 1 hand.
Took about 6 weeks to heal and I lost a fair bit of the strength in my right hand, but I think I'm good now. At least I can play games again.

Nah, I get you. Corporate youtube has always been like this, turning a platform that used to be about uploading videos for fun and sharing to a race to the top; initially it was shitposting and funny videos from some dudes basement that kept taking the top spot, Smosh comes to mind. But corporate pushed for more and higher qualities, yet the stigma remained.
So now you have a youtube that thrives in that kind of environment, with clear cut rules for how to reach fat paying top, with anyone bothering to make videos on this platform being required to have tv-station standard equipment. Yet the quality of the content is still lacking because it's youtube and that never changed. Back in the day, you could avoid that, there was less content and you were trained to see how good a video's quality was in the first five seconds. Now you can't discern that and it may be that a poor guy uploading at 360p has some of the videos out there, especially concerning gaming; but a race to be first, shocking and with clickbait is what gets results.
Though it's a bit of a chicken and egg situation here since you have to wonder if the original 2006-era posters were actually like that as well or did they pass that culture to the new gens that came after the google byouts, when youtube went really big and this kind of erroneous passing of the torch resulted in the current state that exists now or if this state of youtube was born due to the buyout? I don't remember anymore, especially with how many vieos and channels have been nuked.
All I can say is, have fun; your description states it plainly and your blog and gfaqs contribution have helped a lot more than you think. Making videos for personal imporvement is a very nice goal, it even shows and tracks your own progress, even across the genres when text fails to convey that at times. Just keep doing what you like and have fun.
Also God Eater 4 never because God(s) hate us for eating them.

It's always been like this. Getting big on UA-cam is really reliant on luck. It's a lot like winning the lottery in a lot of ways.
Some people take off on things that have already been done many times before(and arguably better). Some people take off years after they have stopped making videos. Some people take a risk and it pays off in a way that nobody could ever even guess.
It's all due to the ever changing whims of people and value being wholly subjective. The clickbait to vapid videos and the thumbnails with 😮 faces are proof that expectations are low. This isn't like building a house, nobody needs a lot of the content on UA-cam. Futhermore, your idea of quality may not be THE idea of quality.
On the other hand, like winning the lottery, the success can be very cancerous as well. All this reach and attention can and will change you. Some of my favorite creators went from making amazing content to being absolutely repulsive to me, all due to their success and the ludicrous amount of money that can bring.
All this being said, I only hope that you and everyone else finds success in whatever you pursue.

    Ah, capitalism.
It’s really awful to think that passion for your art isn’t rewarded, but that’s the sick reality of it. I and many others love your content and respect the effort you put into it, but it’s just not an effective business strategy.
I don’t think there’s really a silver lining to all this, but for what it’s worth, I’ll always see your channel as a beacon of quality content and gameplay. I played through GE3 with a friend years ago, and while I hadn’t touched the game in a long time, I instantly remembered your video on dealing with devours the moment I picked it up again.
    Stay strong, and best wishes.
