Hafiz, I'm a watch enthusiast and a street photographer, and I deeply enjoy the effort you're giving in using bright light as close as possible to natural, this is offering an excellent vue of how the watch is looking in real conditions. You genuinely deserve a follow.
So if Tudor is the poor man’s Rolex then this watch is the poor man’s Tudor I guess 🤔 There certainly will be a market for these watches since we don’t all have deep pockets but for me it’s a no go due to lack of personality and originality. Great review and closeups as usual 👍
Wow so many negative early comments. For a brand that really wants to bring the Sub feel to the enthusiast price point, it retains enough of the classic dive legibility whilst bringing some of its own character through the shape of the hands. Yes, the case design is nothing to write home about, but from the pictures, they seem to have executed the fit and finish really well to justify consideration for those that are in the market for something along those veins.
They’re actually way better quality than anything I’ve seen for this price. I actually prefer the bracelet on Nomadic to one on Tudors. For some reason, the Tudor bracelets look cheap. And yes, I know what I’m saying.
These watches are so well made. Yes they may be similar to existing designs but so are most watches these days. If you look at the watch closely it’s actually quite different than the BB58 that people compare it too. I absolutely love my blue one and I own a Tudor too. Would say this gives the Tudor black bay a run for its money and represents great value.
I like everything about this watch but the name. Nomadic is too obvious a name to be clever. When it comes to new brand names, I prefer either uncommon words or owner combos, anagrams, etc.
I like the thinness of the case. The clasp is a bit of a let down I think. On a diver a fold over clasp is better in my opinion like on the Tudor BB and Rolex Submariner. They also could have included a micro adjustment system in the clasp like in the Omega Diver 300 , I would have included it and just charged a little more I don’t think it would have cost that much more to do. Considering the guy behind this company has an engineering background , I think it’s a bit disappointing. I personally also don’t like the bracelet tapering down to 16 mm it’s too “ dainty “ and although it is vintage a slightly less pronounced taper would have been better , maybe 18 mm? Not a big fan of the look of the hour hand, it’s a bit “ stumpy “ in my opinion . With regards to the price its not bad but a Glycine Combat Sub 42 mm has similar specs and costs almost half the price so although the Nomadic Marai probably has a slightly better overall look and feel, it’s not that cheap in my opinion. Lastly , what’s the weight of the watch , sadly I feel this might too heavy on the bracelet for every day wear as I don t llike heavy watches ; although one could always put it on a rubber strap or NATO, but that changes the look completely .Nice review and photography as always .
Personally, I think the design is just too close to to the BB58 and Submariner to have its own personality. If you go to their website and look at the Black and Gold - Maraí 401 its simply a BB58 in a submariner case. They even copied the fake riveted bracelet.. Furthermore, when you look at the bezel around 3:40 you can clearly see how the indices at second 4 and 9, and the 1 of the 10 second the paint job is quite sloppy. If this is the watch they wanted to have in a video with many closeups, i cant imagine what customers would receive.
I have been looking at this latest colorway. I like it. I would have liked to have seen better time regulation but the watch is compelling at it's price. btw...love your background music. :)
Hi Jim, mine is running at around 4s, so perhaps some variation within the tolerances. I believe 12 is within the recommended tolerances for this movement from Sellita.
@@jimt7292 glad to be of help. If you email the guys at Nomadic they are usually very responsive too so maybe better getting more info from the horses mouth so to speak.
Without a doubt, it borrows plenty and gives back little in terms on its its own unique design cues. It’s a great looking tool watch. But it’s built from another’s blueprint. Being from just down the road from Belfast, I would love to give my full backing to it. My suggestion to the business is that it should strike its own creative path. Honest assessment: D+.

@@omarion07 Tudor is an awesome brand but I’m glad you recognised the sarcasm in my comment 😉

Oyster bracelet, pelagos bezel and black bay dial…meh…
Looks like a Tudor!
Great presentation. Just ordered one after seeing your video. Great work Hafiz.

This is what Tudor should have made.
Looks ok. Still plenty of Tudor homages around already at this price and spec level too.
Hey Hafiz, can I ask what your job is besides making UA-cam videos?

All of your videos are so masterfully well done. Keep up the good work chap!

I loved everything about this watch except a bigger lug-to-lug than a submariner :(
Nice presentation but i see BB DNA + some other brand ques too much... and just doesnt sing to me
Can you do a video on a JLC Polaris (Black Dial/Time Only)?
