+Matt Verderame They sure did I wish today's fans could have that opportunity like I did growing up with N.F.L. films every weekend for the recap with this music and John Facenda's lyrical spin. It sure was fun!

RIP Ed and Steve Sabol, John Facenda and Sam Spence. I also used to like watching This Week in Baseball.

they made the game what it is today with their work. Unbelievable how cinematic and larger than life all those old team video year books made this sport.

I agree. The Sabols, Spence, Facenda......without these guys, all the highlight films we watch lose their poetic significance. NFL Films also had Gil Santos, our play by play guy for the Pats, narrate. David Robidoux and Tom Hedden have taken the helm from Spence and carried that legacy. During the Patriots season, I always listen to NFL Films scores. They are so intricately made and match the emotional impact of watching NFL football.

5:12 love the chimes. As a percussionist who loves football, this suite should be played in high school/colleges across America, instead of the boring ass music I had to play in h.s.

They should play this song at graduation ceremonies. I also heard this song in the final innings of veterans stadium. A place where I spent the first 10 years of my life going to. I miss the vet more than anything but I do love Lincoln financial field and citizens bank park though.

This came out almost 30 years ago, but this theme still resonates with me and I still consider it the theme of NFL history. Now, the NFL is over 100 years old, but only one team in those 100 plus years has finished a season undefeated and untied, and that is the 1972 Miami Dolphins! The 2022 season will end with the '72 Dolphins as the only perfect team in NFL history as the Eagles lost tonight! I am a happy Fins fan!

Great United States Army music as they are the real heroes. Over 1 million dead army soldiers since 1775. True Glory and honor to them. And as the tomb of the unknown soldier states in Arlington national cemetery. "Here rest in honored glory a comrade in arms known but to God."

I'm trying to find a song with a similar rhythm to the 1st and 2nd movements. It has the same theme except it's much faster and it's only brass. If you want to know what I mean, look up 'Top 10 raiders players', the 2 and a half minute video and it starts playing when they talk about Marcus Allen shortly after the 1 minute mark.

Recorded at LA east Studios Salt Lake city Utah with the Utah Film Orchestra, I stumbled across Tom Hedden by accident when researching about this recording studio which was frequented by Chance Thomas composer of the Lord of the Rings online and I cam across this article www.tomhedden.com/?p=538 by composer Tom Hedden about the recording process at this studio, it's a very interesting read, if anyone has any Documentary footage of this recording please can you reply.

The first piece shows me that Sam Spence learned a lot from Aaron Copland. Great music...maybe not as great as it sounds (LOL!), but great, nonetheless.
