Imagine that one half psycho linebacker who joined the corps after highscool. Now imagine a team full of that same type. MAYHEM
I played there in 92. 1st medical battalion. Felt like being reborn. I loved every day of it
Love to all my MARINE CORPS brothers. In this video im #2 in the black, QB for TSB also the QB for the All Marine Corps football team west coast. I miss you brothers........your the best friends i ever had! I was an enlisted US MARINE from 1998 to ,2002. Motor T baby....drive it like you stole it!
I LOVE YOU MY WHITE MICHAEL VICK!!!!!!!8 We had a blast brother, I miss all of you a well. Some of the brothers were saying we should come up with a Golden Helmet HOF, What do you think.
@@leegrant3762 Whats up Lee, this is the white mike...lol. man what a great time that was. Ballin out with your buddies, playing the fire houses and police stations. I love you to Lee, your one of my favs brother. How would you get HOF or golden helmet started?
I started raising money myself after it was mentioned in the ALL MARINE CHAT
Semper fi devil dog
I'm the Head Coach for the SOI-Outaws (School of Infantry) at Camp Pendleton, CA. We are one of 8 teams that are currently part of the full contact league. The Camp Pendleton Football League (CPFL). The Marines and Sailors are crushing it every season. Their best bet for success with football post military service, is getting recruited by a college. We need scouts to come out and enjoy the show. A lot of the players are close to getting out and a disciplined student athlete is exactly what they would be receiving. If there are scouts seeing this contact me. Ill make it happen.
I was stationed at Camp Pendleton Sept 93 - Sept 94 (Las Pulgas). I was Maintenance Battalions’ starting RB. The only Navy Corpsman on the team, scored many touchdowns and made their all star team too. It was a pleasure serving with the Marines.
Wow this was inspiring. I never got a chance to show my worth in highschool, but plan to try out for the JC football team next summer.
muppetfan12 ball out bro
Never know unless you try I did but didn’t make it blew my knees out when I was young running back and catching (Baseball) will do that Go for it Don’t let anyone say you can’t
how did the tryouts go?
GhostMalone I’m assuming it did not go well
muppetfan12 how’d that all go?
I was starting QB at UNC for 3 years and played while I was in the Corps, and I was HIT harder then I was EVER hit in college. Some of these kids are on another LEVEL when it comes to meanness and toughness, and my back is still feeling those hits just watching this film. The CORPS is another LEVEL. Semper Fidelis, Captain T, U.S.M.C.
You should ask everyone that tried tackling me how hard we hit on offense and defense. If you tried hitting me, you were getting hit, ran over, or miss me. We put'em in the hospital!!!!!!!8
Thanks NFL films for digging and posting this video. I was on Jim Shepard’s team that year and made many memories with all the Marines and Sailors in battle on the gridiron and the battle field. Thanks again for posting this video. I am the one in uniform in the practice scenes. Thanks again. Semper Fi!
What year, do you know me?
@@leegrant3762 I think that was 2002.
@@leegrant3762 I was the center for MAG39.
Side note: 29 Palms is the largest Marine Corps base.
this is true
29 stumps
Side note: 30 palms is
Camp Pendleton is the largest population wise. 29 Palms area wise if I'm not mistaken.
Only in the amount of land allocated to it, 95% of which is training area. The population of the base is much smaller than Camp Pendleton.
I was stationed with MAG-39 during Mikes Tenure with the MadDawgs. I attended the Last Game on Mainside. I was inspired by the Fast pace moving low FlyBy. Those Corbras’ pounding the ground as well as the MagDawgs did their opponent.
Sgt. Lee was my football coach in 8th grade. Amazing dude!!!! Changed my life and turned our team around. Great guy!
Do I know you
He came from my unit, 11th Marines. I actually played on that same field.
Thank you for your service!
Yall bring the load when yall play. Semper Fi Brother!
How can I try out ?
Me too tufelhunden
What they don’t mention in this videos is that all those yards and TDs he was racking up in those 11th marine games, he often only played half the game. Blowouts!! I mean he would score on nearly every touch. It was crazy.
I remember on his last day with our unit he “jokingly” offered his autograph to anyone who wanted because he was going to the NFL. We all had a few good laughs and didn’t accept it. Hahaha. 🙄.
I remember this well. Commanders Cup....done playing a game instead of Gatorade we drank beer!! Good times....Then 9/11 ended all of that!
I played with 9th Comm, 1986 - 1987. Some of the best times and football of my life! OOH RAH!
In 71' i played for Devil Dogs on Okinawa, that year we were undefeated Pacific Champs. Anybody wanna see pics??
For everyone that watches this video, Mike Anderson and I are the REAL REASONS for this video. I've been posting it here and there, love some of the comments. But if you have any questions and Mike can't answer them for you, you could contact me. Some of your opinions could've used a bit more thinking, but we are who we are. Every time I watch this it 😢 me up a little because I miss my brothers and sisters and the fun we had FIGHTING THE WAR WE FAUGHT in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gulf War, etc. NFL Films came to me on my return from Iraq.
A successful year in Marine Corp football is if you don't get broken to pieces during the season.
Thanks Mike. The change is forever 🇺🇸. I played for the Qunatico air station team 53 years ago. Absolutely one of my most cherished memories of the Corps. America the beautiful. Good night Chesty wherever you are. 🇺🇸🍀🇺🇸
Mike Anderson was a beast
Lance Cooly ANDERSON
I never knew this story about my brother.
RAHHH
I would like to know why people disliked this video...
Treatar probably a Marine stole a girl/boyfriend from somebody.
Terrorists
Foreigners like the British who hate our country
well for starters ;the guy that wants do do well and maybe be a mike anderson has bought the bs .It will never happen; mike anderson has natural ability and he may have gotten his growth spirt later than other males .The marines helped ;it gave him a good space to improve and put on some muscle but the marines didn't make him an NFL running back .Full contact football can also give a marine permanent injury ; not good .If marine football is helping ; fantastic, but the video got a bit RUDY . I liked the video but some people my be reacting to the afore mentioned topics. ps you don't have to be a football star to be a great man or a great marine .Oorah ! Marines
It's the internet bro ;)
This was a really cool documentary, thanks NFL
I played in1958 for Camp Pendleton and we play all the Junior Colleges in Southern Cal and won
I was born and raised in Camp Pendleton
Outstanding
Hey I live right next to Mt San Jacinto College. That's dope to see this dude make it since it's so small.
i wish all military bases had contact football
Semper Fi Brothers
There are ton's of Marine's that were straight up baller's in high school football but due to the NCAA clearing house never got he chance. I know quite a few of them.
If you know any now that are in school 7th grade-12th, I can possibly get them a scholarship depending on grades
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEVILS!!!!!
Respect
My friend is at camp Pendleton. He's never mentiond this once, but it's cool I guess
He didn't mention it because he probably didn't know. I came back from Iraq and was told ESPN and Coach Turley were looking for me for an interview about going into the NFL. I received all kinds of stuff, but the most memorable was the flag signed by everyone wishing me luck in the NFL, but instead of going to Coach Turley, San, Jacinto JC, I went to Palomar, and they frowned upon the way I played I guess it something, but they never gave me the truth!!! They'd tell everyone no-one has a starting position, but are recruiting people to start by telling them that and not having the success they planned. They insisted on playing all the younger talent before me instead of playing me to be seen. Coach Tom Craft said I was BLUE COLLAR ATHLETE when he came back, but Early wouldn't play me.
I live just a couple miles south of that place, I go paintballing there
ironmen
Netconner the camp is Temecula?
SpaceGhostPurps no not quite, look it up on google maps
I used to play for 11th Marines when I was in
This is so badass
Gents, if this video hits 1mil, we get a television show
My mom has been to Camp Pendelton ahe was a refugee in the vietnam war
I played for the Mad Dogs in 2003
nice this league is awsome
Ohhh Rah Brother!
Thats a real underdog story
Red Patcher! Yuuuut!
:) I wanna see the Marines vs Army in football
It's called the Army (West Point) vs Navy (Annapolis) game. The Marine Corps is under the Dept. of the Navy. Annapolis Midshipmens can be commissioned as Navy or Marine Corps officers.
@@mrmiyagi22 West Point has a Marine option for graduates as well. A butter bar in my unit was a West Point grad, and was sure to let everyone know.
@@saurondp I stand corrected
@@mrmiyagi22 You were mostly right, though. Many more Annapolis grads go to the Marine Corps than those from West Point, and most Marines root for Navy anyway.
put this on TV
Would they be willing to scrimmage or play a preseason game with NFL players? I would love to see that.
I was on Shepard's team that year and we would have if the opportunity arose!
You sure about that? I played college football before going into the Marine Corps and the Marines were old and more vicious. It reminded me of the longest yard except everyone was like the prisoner team- vicious and wanting to get their licks in.
Based on what? What is your experience with football? What is your experience in the military?
I was actually recruited, but I was almost 30 when I got out of the corps. You point is valid when you talk about size difference, but that would not stop a group of gung ho Marines. They would accept the challenge. I was 6'3" and 290 and
back then I could run 3 miles in under 24mins. Many Marines I played with or against played in HS and some in college.
he spends a lot of time watching and thinking about football Chris. get it? he can probably kick your ass in any of the popular military video games too. wow did No Ma"am school your Gyrene ass! i bet there might be a few other things he's good at if he ever made it off his ass and out of the house. i'd love to see him take you on in a pugel stick match at Pendelton. you'd be soooo sorry!
Good teams in Camp Pendleton in the mid 1990s.
SGT LEE MILKYWAY GRANT
@@leegrant3762 I worked for Gunnery Sergeant Samoa. H&S Battalion. I remember Supply Battalion was real good.
i live near there and my mom used to work on base.
SIXTY MILES !!!...uh, it's only about THIRTY miles.... And MCAGCC 29 Palms is the largest Marine Installation...
Franklin Wells Butterfield joined the marines right after Pearl Harbor. He was 14 years old. He served with Carlson's Raiders. Google him. Thanks.
This is the football camp if u want the real Camp Pendleton to become a devil pup go through military camp for a whole week and go year after year to go up the ranks to finally being able to lead the incoming newbies
Camp Pendleton Football became Major by a few people that took it main stream, by creating The All Marine Football Team and put the most Marines in College a Special thank you to Marine Sergeant Luke Jackson of LSB/ TSB Championship team and founder of the All Marine Team. Staff Sergeant Loydd Nixon of Supply Bn. Sergeant Mike Fauberg of CID who brought the Simi Pro Teams in to play The All Marine team! This video clip does not pay homage to the people that caused the reason for this to be shot!
6:58 Best TD celebration ever.
@2:42 I respect cuz ion got time to play for high school hope the marines accept me..in gods hands 🙏
Poppa bear Halas, who's noted as the father of football was a solider. So the game was created by vets.
+S S Correct you are, I meant The Father of the NFL.
I posted it hoping to get the replies I see
Once a Bronco always a Bronco
This video is so old i think I'm in bootcamp again
lol i train with this team now, i’m only 14 but they treat me like a player
What team you train with, are you a Sr? Hmu for a scholly with good grades!!!!!!!8
Sgt. Grant giving interviews... rah!
Waddupp WHITE, MY WHITE BROTHER RIGHT HERE. HAHA, WE HAD GOOD TIMES. You remember why I did this interview, I messed it up by not going with Coach Turley at San Jacinto.
Live in Denver
hope Nike or other apparel companies see the spirit and the love of sport to donate supplies..ffs Oregon has over 100 uniforms...and other big FBS are an embarrassment of riches..these fine young MEN deserve better..
Clicked on the video because the one guy in the thumbnails fade is terrible and wanted a closer look.

I feel like they should be playing flag to prevent injuries
please be joking...
Hoorah
Glizzy CSGO oorah* there are marines not soldiers from the army
Halo 3 ending song after the beginning
Next episode: Navy Cheerboys
Wonder how LCpl Anderson would have dealt with Kaepernick? I wonder if Kaepernick had the cojones to disrespect the flag while standing next to Mike Anderson?
You took the words right out of my mouth!! Thank you👍
There was an Army ranger on his team. Don’t worry about his cojones pal.
Do you have the balls to stand up up to police brutality instead. Or just ignore it to the point where someone protest doing something you would deem disrespectful
He didn’t disrespect the flag and yes he would do it while Anderson would watch.
I served in Corps 3 years 68-71, Nam vet, Bravo /H&S Co, 1st Tanks...(An Hoa, Hill 55, Dodge City) Kaepernik could serve w/Me ANYDAY!!
I think the video is bit of Marine Corps propaganda, but I liked it. Most aren't going make it the NFL. I don't think it was trying to say that, I do think it showed the grit and determination of a Marine and how being a Marine helped Mike Anderson make it in the NFL. He said that himself.
You could get hurt and possibly bad enough to end your carreer but that could happen doing numerous things in training.
I am sure there were other players who either got recruited or found out themselves they were good enough to play in college. Not necessarily D-1, but junior or community college.
I think it's good spotlighting how Marines are good at many things. Not just being a war fighter. It shows that they are flexible and can work as a team or an individual.
Oorah!
Hit me up if you want the TRUTH
Fraudulent enlistment
Means failed opportunity
Means lifelong regret
I know Ray Springer it's me Bernie people's kid
I live in San Diego
Good job
Want a cookie?
Those 15 dislikes are the Marine's who thought they'd be like Anderson but didn't
I live near it
Do the Marine's have there own session
I'll bet you a $100 Marine Mike wouldn't be dissing National Anthem or the flag !
As a black man he would understand.
It was never about the flag btw
Marine corps football is not a sport. It is combat. Most NFL players could not handle it. You will never see a Marine taking a knee during the anthem.
Don't feed the false narrative bro.
False narrative? You will never see a MAN taking a knee for the flag of Freedom, just 'useful idiots'. My brother played in this football league. It is combat. Then he got me ready for little league.
Lourie Salley The NFL players would absolutely ruin these guys, they would leave on stretchers
Darmok I can’t comprehend what you’re trying to say. If you think taking a knee is the problem, then you’re already blind. You just don’t know it yet.
@@JudgeDredd_ 'Useful Idiot'
Urah yat. yas!
Thank you navy and army 😁
How would one go about doing this?
Go to the marine corps
It's not the same. But just enlist and after you reach the field can you ask to play football.
I meant Bernie pekala
How old is this?
Its from about 2001 i think. I was #2 the QB for the black jerseys.
This interview was 2003 when I got back from Iraq. ESPN and Coach Turley were looking for me in mid July.
SF
Says the league that allows its players to kneel.
Also the same league that raked in millions for these anthem celebrations for recruitment.

All of them better be killers.
Rah
doesnt really make sense. In the Army, football was discouraged and banned due to unnecessary injuries that would prevent deployment. why arent the marines training for combat. my sergeants would laugh at anyone wanting to attend practice. They would say your job is war
I played before for my unit. Practice is after regular work hours.
You never lose that love for football bruh
No wonder Army always loses to Navy
Bro the Homie marines are a different breed then the army.
Luis Valdez like fat obese or the bmi obese where they are just bulky
Crayon eaters playing ball, pretty good.
Devils sure do love crayons hahaha
@@grantb5536 it's a military meme of Marines being known for being so stupid they would eat crayons. Insulting be its ribbing from the other branches

Just imagine if the Marines were half as elite as they thought they are.
i so could of been the first dislike
This is fun but it shouldn't exist. Maybe flag football would be ok but this is contributing to unnecessary injury for men whose job it is to protect us.
Flag football is stupid.
Get off this talking flag. Mike and I were the REASONS FOR THIS VIDEO TO EXIST.
