    That little air gage is the only one I have found that really is convenient to use. You look great!

    A couple of "gotta-haves" - extra fuse(s), fire extinguisher, Model A instruction book

    Mild steel wire and you likely have side cutters or linesmens pliers already. I see someone mentioned a fire extinguisher under the seat. Put it somewhere you can grab it quickly. There's no end to the things you can take on a trip for emergencies. I've found that you won't usually need them but I've lent carburetors, inner tubes and my spare tire to people in an emergency. And tools to no end. Enjoyed your video very much and look forward to your next.

    I have reduced my tool kit in each vehicle to the sizes that fit roadside repairable items. Only the essential tools. And seasonal items for winter or summer.
    Thanks, Tina for reminding us to be prepared!

    The 69 cent razor blades from harbor freight are great, a magnesium bar/Ferro rod , the puck flares that are rechargeable are better then triangles and take less space get a very small axe and folding shovel as well. The military ones are great and fairly light weight . funnel, rags , the hand wipes they sell at the parts store are small and flat as well , a towel and wash cloth and the hotel soap , I also recommend a poncho and liner the military surplus ones are great and the liner will fit in a gallon Ziplock

    Hi Tina! Thanks for showing the emergency equipment you keep in Roadie! For some reason folks have got away from having essential emergency gear in their cars. Even though I have not had to use it so far, I keep an emergency kit in my car as well. I do need to upgrade to one of those nifty headlamps, though!

    Put your log book in a ziploc bag - things will get wet in a Roadster. I bought a couple of those lights. They work great.

      Hey, great idea, although I don’t plan on taking Roadie out when it’s wet, but never know when you think weather will be good and suddenly you’re under a rain cloud lol

    Hey Tina, another great subject. You are limited with a roadster where you can easily carry tools and supplies. Others have give good tips. I would add a small multimeter and a quart of oil.
    Keep it up.
    See you down a country road!

    Definitely carry some road snacks or it’s a good place to hide a Bluetooth audio device to play all those hits from 1929 that make Roadie feel new again.

    Don't forget the good sturdy sharp pocket knife for radiator hose & other repairs that needs a cutting edge. And a funnel. A wash cloth & towel+ soap. You never know.

    I think it's cool you have all that important tools and paper work in Roadie. I live on a farm and have a lot of critters out here, with chipmunks, small squirrels and field mice that can get into the vehicle. After dealing with those issues, my wife and I have to put our paper work or manuals into a sealed container. We use a metal mint box that we use for our paper work or insurance cards and/or registrations in those little boxes. We keep the manuals in a zipper enclosed vinyl case, which they haven't breached yet, hopefully never will. Thanks for the advice, good stuff, have a blessed weekend!

    Informative and fun as usual. Headlights for hands free repairs are a great boon over a flashlights. Definitely a must. My wife and I also take along space blankets, duct tape and energy bars for snacks. Wonderful channel, and Roadie is a very cool roadster.

    Hi Tina.
    Is the spare carb a Tillotson?
    I really enjoy the short videos with Paul answering questions?
    Thanks

    • @Modeltshinn
      @Modeltshinn  4 місяці тому

      Hi! No it’s a Zenith carburetor, we don’t really care for Tillotson, just haven’t had good experiences with them.
      Thank you so much 💕

    In a pinch those lights could become a headlight to get home on if you had issues. Put a distributor with your carburetor. Be careful with a water bottle, eventually a hole can form a leak. Great video

    • @Modeltshinn
      @Modeltshinn  4 місяці тому +1

      That’s awesome, Paul did a video on those headlamps and used them as headlights to see if he could drive around and he could see well!

      Thank you for letting me know, I just asked Paul why because when I edit and play it everything is even and very audible, he says we will try different ways to see about enhancing the volume. Thank you for your love and support 💕 have a great weekend!

      Glad to help! Love what you and Paul do for the Model A world. You’re helping keep a lot of us old buffalos going in the car world and, most importantly, are bringing in the younger guys and gals we need to sustain our precious hobby. Closest I ever came to owning a Model A was a Vickie body I built into a SBC powered rod back in my late teens/early ‘20s. Also campaigned a five window coupe on the dirt track circuit in the Carolina’s in the late ‘50s/‘60s! You have helped me realize I missed a huge chunk of the auto world as I was “growing up!” I’m living it through you and Paul! Thanks again! If I wasn’t an octogenarian, I’d be ready to snag me a slant window four door and take it touring! Hmmmmm! Would I start with the complete Lincoln Hwy or the somewhat hohum Route 66????

      Thanks! Does it take up much room?

    • @chipper20
      @chipper20 4 місяці тому +1

      @@Modeltshinn Not at all. It's a Kidde class A, B & C fire extinguisher that measures 14.2" X 4.65" including the height and width of the handle. It cost less than $30 on Amazon and fits nicely under the seat of my 1931 roadster with room to spare. I wrap it in a towel (another useful item in case of an emergency) to keep it snugly in place without rattling or rolling around. I replace it with a new one every couple of years or so.

    What about a crank for engine and lug nuts

  • @JoeBob1955
    @JoeBob1955 4 місяці тому +1

    I would think it would be better to have the registration easily at hand rather than under the seat. Could be problematic in the unlikely event that you are pulled over and have to produce it for the cop, who might be concerned about what else might be under the seat.
