Dubuque to Superior is a little over 340 miles, FYI. Would have been neat to meet you if I was in the area when you went through. Chief Blackhawk used to be taught about in schools but now like the food packaging nothing is allowed. Wisconsin was the top wheat producer at one time also top hemp, tobacco has been grown in Wisconsin for over a thousand years it has been found in the digs. Wisconsin use to grow a lot of tobacco but it has dropped off to very little. When you left Dubuque you could have got on the Ferry to cross into Wisconsin. The Mississippi River Museum sure looks different, we use to go there a few times a year but it was affordable in the past to take a bunch of kids there.
They're saving history, and you're showing us history. I appreciate both.
Excellent Presentation Russ. Hearty Greetings from Hyderabad, India 🇮🇳
Hello, RVerTV ,Russ, Yea, Mississippi small Town's are To Cool For School. 👍
Thank you again RVerTV for showing a lot of us Expats from around the world parts of the USA that we can never see in our life time.
I live in Southeast Iowa on the Mississippi River in Burlington!
Beautiful towns and all the interesting structures, parks and the Mississippi River 😊 Iowa delivered for sure 👍🏻
You missed a pretty little town LaCrosse WI. You should have taken the Great River Road!
I know, right? I was so disappointed. In my opinion it is the prettiest city on the western side of the state. I’m originally from the eastern side of the state.
come to Minnesota,we home of many things, from largest twine,to start of the Mississippi ,at Itasca state park
🕊Traveling with RVerTV 🏜 🚐

Another great video Russ. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome again Russ as usual
Thank you for the lovely videos that you share with us,
It’s so relaxing to be with you as we journey through some of the small towns in America.
Greetings from Torpoint Cornwall.
Great job, as always Russ!
At 1:13:32 that golden roofed home on left is incredible.
Hey brother now you're in my neck of the woods! Good to see you in Iowa. As someone who has lived in both Las Vegas and Des Moines, Iowa I was happy to see this. Iowa actually has some of the best casinos in the country in my opinion. Iowa has the most casinos per capita than any other state not named Nevada. The climate is actually pretty similar these days too outside of Winter. I don't recommend Iowa in July. It's just as hot as Nevada most days, plus you'll have humidity here. It's like you step outside and immediately took a shower with your clothes on. In Nevada, the heat is dry. There, I wore long sleeve denim work shirts a lot in summer to keep the sun off me and that works. Almost like overseas where they are all wearing long loose clothing. Anyways, keep on keeping on. Love the channel. Its genuinely one of the best, and I'm always intrigued by the places you visit. Even if I know them well.
Russ, at one time there were 20 brickyards in Dubuque.
THANKS!
I live in Toronto. Love watching your videos.
I have been in Dubuque and free camping is hard to find with shade.
Thank you ❤
Wow I never knew Iowa had so many tall trees. Just believed the all farm land story I guess. Beautiful
YAY!!!!!!!!!
How old is this? Clues upcoming. May be last year. Russ ran into issues in Michigan
@1:06:05. wow! that sheet lightning really lights up the sky like it was day time! we have storms like that in the deep south.
Hi! I subscribed today. Loving your channel. Especially this trip. Hubs and I have taken the Great River Road too. We like how you video while driving and its like we are riding right along. thanks for doing what you do.
In case anyone is interested that town is pronounced Prairie Dew Shane. If you would have followed the Mississippi further you could have filmed the town where they filmed Grumpier Old Men. That movie was so realistic. Never boated all the way down but did many river trips including from Bayport, MN to almost the MO border. Lots and lots of locks. The walls are very slimy.
Russ really gets around............
Russ I like all your videos You do a great job showing us beautiful views. I love the music that plays with that guitar sound. why don't you put that music in show room for sale, I would love to listen to that guitar music on cd when I'm traveling.
Back yrs ago Tug Boat Captains worked 30 days on and 30 days off. That was back in the 1990's, not sure what they do now.
First 😊
That’s it?
Lock & Dam #1 is in Minneapolis. The last lock is #26 in Alton Missouri just north of St. Louis.
I'm betting there's plenty of back roads to get to where you wanna go there
Love how they put little german Flags on their visitors center...even...one is upside down and the other one the wrong way, not to mention the guy in Lederhosen. 😅
But still cute.
Looks like an area to add to our retirement travel list.
When you travel to these places do you prefer to take travel on the freeways or secondary/old highways?
i love conservative towns and states the people keep their cities so nice and clean you can tell they care
Have you been through Hermann Missouri? It's in the German wine district in Missouri. They have Oktoberfest every weekend in October.
2:46:44 I’ve taken this exit off I-94 several hundred times over the last 50 years. Eau Claire is the closest big city to where I live. Too bad this was the area where you had to ‘put on some miles.’
the headwaters of mississippi is in itasca state park minnesota. you should also visit fort snelling national park in saint paul minnesota.
Who is the "we" that you are always referring to?
I'm at the beginning. Hopefully see people living in house boats
Nice video tour! Just for you general knowledge,Gutte nberg, IA is pronounced "Gootenberg" and Prairie du Chien, WI is pronounced "Prairie doo Sheen". Keep up the good work!
I just watched you video today; The plaque about Black Hawk uhm I know you been to Michigan Ross. Where I live in Michigan if you map it out I'm from the very tip of the Thumb. The County is Huron where I live Ross Bad Axe is 17 miles where I live I assume for the story of Black Hawk Bad Axe Michigan in Huron County I assume the plaque is talking about?
❤❤ I want to buy a camera like yours in this video . What kind is it and where can I buy one ? Thank you.
sturgis is overrated nothing to see there but the national parks are awesome. illinois is pronounced illinoy. dubuque is prononunced dubuqe.
