This must be some type of wizardry because my toilet was clogged bad for days and as soon as I said the "plunge like it owes you money mantra" it magically unclogged, thank you dooki wizard.

The comments say it all, I was plunging completely wrong - a few sets of plunging like you demonstrated and “woosh” the whole thing cleared. I’ve been working on the clog for DAYS with various techniques and I just needed to plunge harder, faster and not loose the pressure and fill the plunger with water 😮

Thanks for a great video. I had a bad clog today, and I initially tried conventional plunging. Then went and got a gimmicky looking plunge gun and un clogging chemical. neither had much effect. Last resort before buying an auger or calling a plumber I came to UA-cam. Watched your video and I knew I had the right plunger but wrong technique. I wasn't coming in at an angel to purge the air. Once I correct that, I felt a difference and after a few seconds, voila. Unclogged. Thanks again!

@finnl2358 the first thing I would suggest you do in that situation is call a doctor. Why are your dookies that big? Didn't that hurt or cause alarm? Why is your first concern the clogged toilet instead of the fact that you just pooped out something bigger than a toilet drain? I'm glad you're ok

I literally spent the last 4 hrs trying a bunch of random shit the internet recommended bc I didn't own a plunger and the delivery service near me wasn't open yet. For future reference there are faucet tap things on the pipes/wall under/behind the toilet that allow you to cut off the water that feeds into the toilet

Man! My little one just had a monster turd and plugged my toilet. Been working at it for an hour. Used dish soap and everything. I used your technique and that with the soap got the clog past. Thank you sir.
The other thing I do is put the plunger in push the air out.
Push the plunger all the way down without breaking the seal.
I then pull up.
Unclogging is done by pulling the clog out of the toilet not pushing it in.
The clog has already stopped anything from going down.
The idea is to pull the clog out and it breaks up then it will go down.
"plunge like this thing owes you money" I took that advice and after multiple attempts of plunging, even tried the hot water/dish soap method, it FINALLY worked. patience will always be key I guess bc I was ready to give up :')

Thank you Forever Greatful first time can remember plunging finally working. Really follow was trying with less water since was concerned would overflow but didn't work and than bowl was not filling more but had last 24 hours. And tried to flush and water went up to level should had in the first place and after several attempts and no overflow. Did make a funny sound too but worked. Happy Labour day and will add to make sure numerous jet holes under rim are cleaned out limescale/minerals in water etc can build up.
