- Hello all, welcome back to another video which is unlike anything I have done before. I have teamed up with An Eventful Life to bring you a really exciting video and opportunity for many of you to get involved with. Watch as Lucinda and Lissa Green pick apart and analyse my Swalcliffe XC round and give me loads of tips on how I can improve my riding. I cannot explain quite how useful this has been for me so certainly consider getting one for yourself if you have ever been filmed by An Eventful Life.

Wow, such nice comments, imagine what they would have said if they had known it was Jam's first ever event, first time going over a full cross country course, first time seeing a ditch, etc, and she's only 6!!!!!
Vikki Bowman I said that to mum!! 😍😂
Coincidence 🥳
They were very complimentary about your legs 😂
Legend Equestrian hahaha I know, made me blush 😘
They would of pined me for my legs my jumping position it horrid but I get the job done I guess
(It could be todo with the fact that my pony is 13hh and I’m a. Bit big for her haha)
Wow! Just wow! Eventing royalty, The Greens! I had goosebumps listening to them analyze, just knowing the amount of knowledge and expertise there 🤩 and they had such nice things to say. Such good feedback. You and Jam were great 👍🏻
Literally love Lucinda haha, two of the best teachers I’ve had (and will ever have). Would recommend everyone to buy a video they are such a wealth of knowledge! Everything they are telling you to do is stuff they do themselves on a regular basis as well (worked for them for 13 months) ❤️
If someone was analysing my round we would be there for at least a day 😂💖🐴
So cool, very helpful! I loved the "tube" advice, I have found I've been lacking this lately. Sit up, shoulders back, put them in "the tube" and keep the hand contact. Cuddle them with your leg, (except I don't have lovely long legs *sigh*) - Loved it!
Such a great video 😍
Jam is looking so good, especially with the going at Swalcifffe, i was so impressed with hers! She is such a gem! That was really useful, very helpful having that video so you can see everything they are talking about! I was lucky enough to meet Lucinda on several occasions and have an XC clinic with in Germany, she is so helpful and knowledgeable.
This was so educational! Brillinat!!!! I love it, you can really hear how knowledgeable they are, it was very good! Loved it and im betting both of them are brilliant trainers, i would love to have them teach me!
So interesting! What an amazing opportunity 😍
Lucinda Green! Been a fan of hers since she was still Lucinda Prior-Palmer. Oh my goodness! What an amazing opportunity!
My FIRST horse book was by Lucinda Green. I read it every day several times a day for years before my parents signed me up for riding lessons. It was nothing but a pile of papers by then
I love how I liked it before I even watched it 😂 same with your insta posts xxx
Lola Luchford yep I do that to 😂
@@Kate.x2 Me too! 😊
Same :D
Could you do a video on you practicing the excercises they talked about! Jam looked very good on cross-country! (Besides the mud😂)
Hi folks🐾🐎💓🇬🇧🤗 absolutely loving these videos during the lockdown period. The only good news this week for me is that I bought a pet friendly hoover and also been accepted for a L3 animal care course in Leeds with an upcoming interview delayed for twelve weeks at the latest.
Shanjan Usman So sorry that your course has been delayed. I saw a horse poster on-line that said, “2020 is on extended stall rest.” So true!😫
Great way to get away from everything right now!!! Thank you so much !!
I’m 99% sure that if that was me they would quit after the first jump-
Lmao same
I’m a trail rider & former dressage groom . I’ve never ridden x-country. (always wanted to). I’ve now seen all 3 (6 including Bears dressage and showjumping) videos related to this show day. This had to be most informative Arn’t you a lucky girl. In all seriousness, you wouldnt have these amazing acheivements without all of of your hard work, EVERY day, 7 days a week and with the support from hobbit and dad. Its not luck its out right hard work👩🎓👷♀️⚒🏋️♀️🥊🦺(that we love when it comes to our geegees). Are you going to make a mini x-country course at home through your grazing paddocks😉 when they dry up a little to get started on these tips. Dont forget to film that.🎥(I think we’re in lock down a lot longer than intially stated)..🏚 Thanks heaps for sharing and Kia Ora from New Zealand🏞
this is so great, they're lovely. I chatted to Lucinda at weston park last year she knocked over a wooden toadstool by an xc fence when walking the course haha. Lissa bought my pic too
Wow wow wow. How amazing to listen to comments and advice from such luminaries of the Eventing world. Interesting, informative and so encouraging. Well done, Megan. You are a terrific horsewoman with a real talent for bringing on and producing young horses.
These videos with an option to have them viewed and commented on by world class riders is a great idea.
Were you nervous before you watched it? I would have been😱😱😱😱😱😱
Sandra Back yeh I was terrified before I listened 😂😂
Wow this video was amazing!! I can’t believe how much I actually got out of it that I’ll be trying to do with my horses! Such lovely comments that are well deserved for you!! When you do the exercise down the long side and jump a fence at an angle would you video it? I’m not 100% sure what it’s meant to look like but sounds very beneficial! Loved the video!!🙈🥰😍
Lauren Stafford oh yes good idea, I will do 😍
You must be delighted with their comments. Lucinda was my hero when I did pc eventing in the early 1980s . Jam’s such an exciting prospect for you . Happy for you..and Hobbit 😁😁😁😁
Fantastic tool! I bet they would have been even more impressed if they had the context of it being Jam's first round, first ever ditch etc.
Loved Jam at the end so sweetly trying to get your attention focused back on her again- my homebred filly (who also happens to be grey) does the same thing if I stop to chat to the neighbours lol.
Lucinda's 6 wins at Badminton, were all on different Horses. Also, a friend of mine is married to Lucinda's Son Freddie.
Holy moly Meg! This made me cry AGAIN! What an amazing thing to have. Those two ladies are at the top of their game and they’re saying such lovely things about you and jimjams! Well deserved I might add! This is a treasure to keep forever! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow such a great video Meg! I think your round with Jam was really good, you wouldn't believe that Jam is young and green by the way she did it. All of their comments were so useful and this is definitely a good idea! I love your channel and all of your ponies and horses! I can't wait to see what you and Jammy get up to, I think they'll definitely be good things in the future for you ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Thank you for sharing! Amazing work by you and your horse! We are all learning and this video taught me a lot as well.
This narration & music reminded me of old horse games I used to play back in early 2000s 😂
That was so helpful! I learnt a lot, that will be really useful when i finally get my youngster out eventing! Lovely round on such a green bean, made it look really straightforward!
Can’t wait to watch! All your vids are always amazing 🥳
Really interesting video. It has to be a dream to have not just 1 but 2 great riders to comment and give tips on your riding.
Another great idea! Wish it had been possible when I was competing! Lucinda the Legend. Really interesting Meg.
Such a great video. Interesting to see what they picked up on. Super helpful. X
This is great... I’ll be watching points over and over. Especially the jumping in the school off the edge 🙌🏻
I definitely have an extra F in my dictionary ngl 😂😂
Yep
Failure 😂
What an interesting video!!!! I learnt so much from watching it. Thanks so much for the amazing content you create.
Wow Meg! What a fantastic opportunity, such great comments and incredibly educational even for people who don't event. I learnt so much just watching it.
Wow! What a valuable tool to purchase for yourself and your horse/s Megan! I'd be interested to know if any other International riders have joined 'An Eventful Life' with this inspirational educational programme. And - if so - which ones?
Liked before even watching cause I know it’s amazing ❤️ can’t wait xx
Wow, thank you for sharing with us! Amazing to hear what they had to said, would love to see more of these if possible!!! x
Love you so much , you are such an inspiration :) xxx
If this was not her first event I think we would expect her to know what cues you give her to know which part of the jump she's to approach. Eventually you can see her figure it out and ears cock forward and eyes focus on the jump. I agree she would improve with much more experience so she knows what you want in a fine tuned way so her approach to each obstacle is focused much earlier. I really enjoyed watching the event with commentary though. Thanks!
Love An Eventful Life, love the Greens, love you, your ponies & your vids! How very cool is this?!
You should be so happy and proud. They were super complimentary.
I LOOOVE this! Lucinda was a hero of mine (although I never had the nerve to do eventing), and I think listening to her is amazing. Well done!

This was so interesting and informative. As an author, I love learning new things that I might someday be able to put into a book, and this certainly fits the bill!
wow! this was such an educational video, I learnt loads and I'm definitely going to be trying these exercises and comments on my horses and my riding. You must be so chuffed with all their positive comments...if only they knew this was her first event...onwards and upwards! After corona is all over of course!!!

Can we get Charlotte to watch and analyse your dressage test??
Oh my god that would be amazing and terrifying x
I'm going to say something here ...How wonderful is Jam that she's got her ears pricked at EVERY fence she's really looking and trying and she's defo going to be a class act

This has been quite helpful for me!! The advice that it’s harder for them to stop in trot will really help with the stopping issue I have at scarier show jumps!
