Bear was so good! From your intro, thought she would be a little monster! Well done. Jam looks rideable one minute, then loses it a bit! Lovely jump though. Have been browsing other similar channels lately, and yours, Meg is by far the best, in my opinion! Natural, funny and educational. Thankyou!

When you did dressage with Bear you think you had trouble in the first round I think the lady in the ring next to you had more and I think Jam and her jumping she is just like a kid arguing with there parent of who knows best but considering she has not done much I think she went fab so congratulations to you hobbit and ponies

I had a Sec D for 23 fun filled years. Sometimes it just wasn’t his turn to have the brain cell! But I got used to the five different types of trot, the good, the bad, the ugly, boneshaker/bladder rattler and the flat out flying one that left everyone else for dust. Plus he saved me from invisible lurking dragons and taught me to be brave. Gotta love a Welsh❤️❤️❤️

Oh my goodness thank you so much for turning the audio off for the music in your second test - I love all of your background music but I was tempted to turn the sound completely off because of the wind haha the wind is the bain of my life right now (as I am sure it is for all equestrians currently) so listening to it whilst not having to be stood out in it is painful ha! VERY well done! You are amazing and it shows through all of the horses you ride and train!

So Ive stumbled my way to your channel after purchasing my 6 year old her first pony for Christmas after a year of riding lessons. A 12.1h flea bitten grey mare who has decided her new trick is to put her head down continuously and pull the reins.. so I googled, as you do, to find some tips and tricks as I know ZERO about anything to do with horses and ponies, and a few clicks later here I am binge watching your vlogs as if I dont have a million other things to do, but Im loving them lol

Grass reins are great but if you genuinely know nothing then please do seek out some pros to help you. Google is great but often a case of ‘too many cooks’. Try and find a trainer or friend who knows their stuff, that you trust and stick with them, they’ll be invaluable and teach you as well as your child. Good luck! X

Eggy Meg! Time for channel name change maybe? Bear is such a super little pony, such a credit to you and how you've brought her on given what you've said about how she was when you got her. I feel like the excitement and the wind just got to Jam at times and took her focus off you. But the jumps she clears. Wow, that scope... you can see how much potential she has and probably just needs more competition experience. Definitely a star for the future!

Honestly, just build up slowly and give yourself time. Maybe do short rides that are out of your comfort zone and just focus on what you have to do and the end, perhaps give a reward for when you reach your goal. But only ever do this when you’re at least semi-comfortable or are having a confident day (which don’t happen much haha, so take advantage if it happens). You could even go back to basics and build up to the harder stuff afterward, just focusing on enjoying your riding! ❤️

I’ve lost a lot of confidence jumping after a nasty fall. However, I have been looking at centered riding which talks a lot about grounding your feet. So your feet are like the roots of the tree and as long as you know that your feet are underneath you, your balance will stay strong. That’s really helped me :)

My "horse in a lifetime" horse could jump to the moon, but he'd plough through anything lower than 3' ( no idea what that is in cm am that old now!) but you couldn't interfer with his jumping..just point him at them and hang on...if you tried to tell him when to jump it all went horribly wrong :)

Think about the psychological stress on that wild mustang being transported by plane to Europe. I think that would be on the verge of animal abuse and not really beneficial to the horse, which is what should be most important.

    • @maezapernick7667

M B Equestrian I’m sure she wouldn’t send for it until it had some handling and ground work. Still very doable ...not everything is abusive. They shipped unhandled horses here to the US all the time from Europe. They would kick butt with one. Definitely a great idea to put into consideration.

That stuck and she was called Filly the rest of her life😂. So question?
In australia it's not a thing to keep your horses in the truck/float when you are at events, we usually tie them up on the side. But in England I've noticed everyone keeps them in their trucks. Why? Is it because you guys have shit weather all the time, or you're not allowed to tie them up?

Just found your vlogs and have been watching about 20 of them in 5 days. I really enjoy them.
BUT the music is way too high compared to your voice volume so every time you put music in I have to turn the volume down about 10 pegs, and then I have to turn it up again when you say something, which is not the end of the world but I feel kind of bad for my boyfriend who often falls asleep before me and wakes up from the sudden change in volume. (Wow, longest sentence in the world, sorry)
Hope you don't mind some constructive critisism, I really do like the videos :)

Moomles no worries! I’ve been playing around with the music, it’s currently half the volume of the spoken bits 😫 I will play around some more! Was it better in this one over some of the old ones? X

@@elphick.event.ponies yeah, it's better in this one but still a lot higher. :)

You could blame the horse on the other ring 😅That is why I don’t compete, I would be that lady on a horse on 2 feet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Meg every body would have to fall off for jam to win ( sorry meg) but you are correct that you did need to circle her to tell/ teach her how she should jump.
