7 week old German Shepherd RESCUE PUPPIES swim with mum for the first time

- It’s that very important time in our rescue German Shepherd puppies’ lives called the critical socialisation period or early exposure period, where they need to experience as much as they possibly can to prepare them for a well adjusted adult life.
They’re getting more opportunities than most puppies at this time, especially those born into a rescue/shelter situation.
Everyday they have lots of time with dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds. They get lots of exposure to different people; children, babies too.
Today they joined mum Lucy for their very first swim. They all put on their doggy life jackets and headed to the dam with mum.
They played along the shore, in the sand. They even went for swims following mum in. The bigger girl (the most timid of them all) actually swam out across the dam with mum which was very impressive.
Everything was important and positive for them. Even being handled by Elle and Evie; being picked up, dried off etc. These moments are really important. All 3 of the puppies are developing such loving affection towards the kids.
After their swim we dried them off with towels and also a quick blow dry. Another great thing for them to get used to.
They’re doing so well and it’s been fun for the whole family to get involved in their development.
And now it’s soon time for them to start school. Training will commence in a week’s time. We’re all excited to watch these puppies further develop into the best little doggies they can be. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
(2:15) They look like Puppy Power Rangers. "Power up!" 👍🏽
Hah! they really do!! Or Wonder Triplet Powers?!?! ACTIVATE!!
Note to self: put the ice cream back in the freezer before* sitting down to watch, read comments and reply...lol
or buy more than 1 container!
@@maryg92844 Oh, trust me...I've got that suggestion covered very well. hahaha
Sorry about the ice cream...😁😁😁 A twelve minute video somehow takes me two hours to get through...especially when I'm 8 hours late to the game and there are 300+ comments!
@@julieobrien4056 Hahaha, nope...melted a bit more than I like but it's ice cream..lol I'd eat it with a straw. hahaha
@@Danika_Nadzan I caught it not long after it was posted but you read or reply to comments and then refresh to find a few dozen new ones!
The little floppy eared pup is so going to chase the vacuum cleaner!
@@julieobrien4056 he’s adorable. I sort of hope his won’t straighten! Love those floppy ears!
@@dsm4462 That's our Banjo.
How I wish the fip-flop ears would stay that way.
Now a month on, Banjo's ear are standing up, and mannnnny of his fans are sure gonna miss his "distinctive" look !!!! 😊😁😂😊😁😂😊😁😂🌹🌹🌹🌹
All puppies should be raised like this , only 7 weeks old and so intelligent and confident and Lucy is a wonderful mum ❤ 💙 ♥ 💖 💕 😊
Couldn't agree more.
This is amazing seeing these pups ready for action it took some convincing but they did it in the damn tears Lucy’s such a sweet mum lookin out for her pups the girls were so helpful too they didn’t care for their spa treatment haha I’m so happy for them are any spoken for yet yo-yo loved them too well thanks for starting my Sunday off bless all of you
What a wonderful vision that is!😊
Just woke up in the dark here🇵🇹 in a blowing gale to find a pack of puppies geared up for a swim. How their future has been assured by the love the Evans family has lavished on them. Lots of furry guardian angels 👼 looking out for the pups too. Happy Sunday everyone wherever you are.
Lisa, back at ya!
😘 thanks
dog puppies and Menschen puppies ohhh it is so bezaubernd. Lieber Luke liebe Sam liebes Team, eure bezaubernde warme Liebe ist großartig. :-))
Love how she carries the pupper like a suitcase
The pups are beautiful. They are going to make great family dogs!
Haha the pups wanted none of that blowing stuff lol but your girls love it.🙂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I named them: Chobster, Mobster and Lobster! : ) ♥♥♥
They're going to be bigger than Cutie Pie in just a few weeks!
Lucy loves to swim.
Her swimming on her farm day, she loved having a load off her body. The puppies were swimming in her belly. They will get used to swimming.
Your family are remarkable caretaker for these dogs. They're absolutely adorable. Your wife may have told you don't hit them with such a force using a hose. That hurts.
Sweetly pie is like their big ‘little’ sister….
The pups love hanging off Cutie Pies rolls. Even uncle Yoyo was keeping an eye on them
Yes Cutie Pie at one year old, taking on a whole new life as Aunty.
Cutie Pie reminds me of the role Riker took towards her. So lovely to see their special relationship developing
I had the same thought too!
That little runt puppy is so cute.
She was so cute in the life jacket. It looked enormous on her.
He'll end up the biggezt of em all.
The three Puppies are growing up so much.
Little runtie is so tiny but so brave with a heart as big as her sweet mumma Lucy. What a lovely morning with the family
Lucy: The only time away from the kids is when she’s in the water…
At least until they learn how to swim, gain confidence about it, and graduate out of their life vests, teehee
@@julieobrien4056 She probably knew they might not be able to jump up into the quad yet, they barely maybe it onto the dam dock, haha
@@julieobrien4056 That's one small step for me, one giant leap for puppy-kind.
Oh my so sweet. Lovely girls and puppies. 😍😍😍 The Old Girl in KZN SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦
Swimming with Mum!! 😁😁😁
Luckiest puppies on the planet……….absolutely wonderful xxx
I can't handle 😩 the cuteness of the pups in their jackets!
So flippin' adorable!!
@@julieobrien4056 I thought the same thing!
@@julieobrien4056 He made me laugh.. "You're making this very difficult.."
@@julieobrien4056 Their tails are as long as their bodies! haha
@@julieobrien4056 (Your reply about my comment regarding Riker's family adopting a puppy was removed. I had tried to word my response as gently as I could...I know they mean well...)
Oh they are so quick off the mark. Intelligent pups from intelligent parents, living in an exciting, safe and loving world. They are going to be such fun to teach! This is going to be wonderful.
Those cute little ones will be adopted very quickly.
What! Already, they have grown so fast.
If I was not so far away, USA, Aussie,,I would adopt one of those pups in a heartbeat. Had a Shepard for 12 years, back when, such great dogs, just sayin'
I was betting on the littlest one ( bravest so far ) jumping right in with mom. Fooled me. But I'm sure she'll get there. Now, have to go watch it again...and again. Makes for sweet dreams to go to bed smiling.
I thought the same thing about the littlest one...
....and again...lol
LOL! Pure joy!
not long ago cutie pie was the cutest dog on the farm...
Hilarious seeing Uncle Luke trying to wrangle the puppies into their floaties at the beginning. Lucy seems to love the dam. She looked so relaxed in the water.
There is so much love between humans, humans and dogs, dogs and dogs... just so inspiring; an example for humanity.
Well said.
Specially the kids
Ah, sweet. Thank you for sharing the pup's adventure.
Excellent future service puppies. Search and rescue, Police, cadaver, endless potential.
I read shelter dogs are used in biodiversity research sniffing out endangered species and hopefully rediscovering so-called extinct ones. I see dogs integrated more and more into society.
Nice to see the pups fat and active. The runt had me worried for the longest time, but his ears were the first to remain upright so I knew he'd be just fine. What a great Mum they have. They were all so fortunate to get away from that shelter.
Awwwoooo, I love family day!
So fun to watch the girls try to Emulate Luke with the dogs. You have two VERY good dog trainers on your hands! The puppies did amazing, Lucy is a wonderful mum
Putting life vests on the puppies reminds me of trying to diaper a busy 2 yr old... x3. Little one moving her legs like she wanted to run away from the air; brother fighting it off; other sister just putting up with it. Such different personalities. And Lovely Lucy leading her pups on a merry chase around the dam - escaping into the water. That must feel really good.
Its 3a in Virginia, what a precious video. I am turning over to sleep with a smile on my face. 😁😁😁😁😴😴😴😴
Luke and Sam, it warms my heart to see how much fun your whole family is having raising these pups. All of you deserve the joy.
Another piece of heaven, ty my job deals the the sickness on this earth may all the sweetness come to everyone involved in ur projects
What a Beautiful pleasant day, it's a joy to watch them, hallelujah thank you Jesus.
Something interesting under that deck? You could patent those Alsation handbags/purses. They did very well for their first swimming lesson, watching Lucy intently showing them that swimming is fun.
"Alsation handbags/purses"!😁 I thought the same thing...wouldn't they make the cutest bookbags or day packs for kids? This kid would get one!😄😄
Instead of treat-based training for those pups, you may need to do vacuum-based training. 😂😜
Happy dogs, happy kids, happy life.
Those puppa’s make the cutest handbags 😃
I guess Wolfric slept through all the puppyness..3 little pigs following their Mum. Love Elle’s cowgirl boots. There is so much fun when the Evans family takes weekend breaks! Thank you
OMG the cuteness is almost more than I can handle.
Thanks for a wonderful update Aunty Sam, Uncle Luke, Evie, Elle and somewhere little Wolfy! Also lovely to see Aunties Cutie Pie and Joey, Tilly and Uncle YoYo helping take care of the puppies. ❤🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕
OMG, darling!
What a lovely time at the farm. Thank you for sharing with us.
Oh good gracious the puppy's life jackets in the thumb nail?? Precious!
Good thing they have handles for the lift across the paddock!
Perfectly packaged puppies!😊
Made me smile!!! Little buggers swimming! Woot woot!
What a lovely family day at the pond.
I have never clicked on one of your videos quicker. These puppies have to be the best socialized pups EVER. They have experienced so much in the short 7 weeks of life it is awesome. Seeing how calm Lucy is now is great. And knowing uncle Yo-Yo is on hand to monitor the puppies is so cute knowing how his journey started. At the back of a cage, scared and un-trusting, to see him flourish, so cool to see.
Agree 100%%%
The girls, the pups, Lucy, Yoyo and of course Cutie Pie all having fun in the pool. Just gorgeous. 🤗
Do you know who the black lab is?
@@lissawick2171No I wondered that too.
@@lissawick2171 That is Coco...I looked through the Halloween photos on FB for the dog bone tag on her collar. 😉
Soo cute
Your girls are The Best as they Love on the doggies! The puppies are too cute for words and mama is an amazing mom 🐾🎉🐾🎃🐾❤️🤩
Such a wonderful start in their lives. Being raised on the farm.
Yoyo keeps on shining on.
You can't get any cuter than the girls with the puppies. Adorable 💞 💞 💞
Such a feel good video -thank you.
Beautiful, everyone had a splashing good time. The little ones adventure to the dam was a big success......the girls were very helpful....
Adorable!
CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!
Gorgeous, anyone who adopts one of these puppies is going to be getting the very best German Shepherd pup you could ever have. Love the little one chasing the dryer and the 1st one pedaling madly. 😄💕🐕💕
I heard Luke say something about Conrad and Lucy having good blood lines.
Agreed with Eclectic, I think when we first met them, Luke said or Sam described that they both do have really good blood lines so I think a potential adooter can have confidence in the overall/long term health of the puppies.
And to your point: they are all so inquisitive and tenacious...good traits to have in this world if you ask me. 😊
oh please just keep them all, they love it there so much!
Lucy was adopted several weeks ago by someone on DDFT staff. The puppies will be available for adoption at about 12-13 weeks of age.
What a place to grow up! Puppies, water and love! You bring joy to a lot of people. Thank you
Looking at this video again . Swimming for the first time together with their mum . Cant even believe time went so fast . Little Banjo
Mathilda and Rosie almost grown ups now.
Me too, just a look down memory lane. 🐕💗😀😀
Lucy encouraging her pups to enjoy the farm, trying to lead them into the dam with her, I see the pups love following the girls around too, weekends are special times for the family & the dogs in the care there, the girls are always so eager to participate in the farm activities too 💚
That was so beautiful and calming for me. Watching your children interact with the dogs makes me yearn to be 7 years old again! God bless you Uncle Luke and Auntie Sam for sharing your love with the world.🐾☺🐾💖🐾👍🐾
especially when little elle was carrying the one pup like a purse...lol
@@sherrie9241 puppy on a handle!
@@sherrie9241 Elle is a strong little girl! The handles are great, especially for slippery, squirmy puppies!😁
Thanks so much for taking time out of your weekend to post this video. That Lucy loves to swim. Whoever gets these pups are going to be blessed with years of love and companionship.
Thank you! So enjoyable!
Lucy certainly loves the water but being under the ramp made me very nervous. But all was well, I was just born to worry. The puppies are growing up so fast. Thank you for making Lucy's experience so much better this time. God bless you all.
I don’t know but it must be menopause day for me. 😭😭😭😭😭. Lol. First with Conrad seeing him off to his forever home. Now seeing Lucy and her pups. 😭😭. It’s tears of joy. DDFT, you all are awesome. ❤️❤️❤️.
You are not alone with the menopause tears - it's so good to have a reason for tears of joy - these two videos have made this a weekend of pure happiness.
So much fun! The little carry handles 🤣🤣🐾
I can hardly stand the cuteness of it all!
Love 💕 your helpers Elle and Evie
Sweetest video puppies and your girls having such wonderful time

Cuteness overload
Cuteness overload!
Absolutely precious they are darling can’t wait for training they will be so smart thank you Uncle Luke and Autie Sam and the children are precious too what a wonderful life 💕💕
What a charming little helpers the girls are, loved how Elle just picked up the puppy to help it faster up the hill
Adorable!! The girls, the puppies, all the giggles!!
The puppies are so cute. This is a fun video.
Herding cats may be easier than putting life jackets on puppies.
🤣🤣🤣
Wow great surprise, everyone having fun 😀 🐶
Such a joy to watch! Looks like everyone is having a lot of fun.
True, so loveley...
How cute are these little guys?!?!
Future swim stars!
What an adventure everyone had at the dam with Lucy and her puppies! Uncle Yo Yo and Auntie Cutie pie were there to watch over them as well. Wonderful adventure!
I agree...you couldn't ask for a more attentive aunt and uncle!😊
hi all! those babies in swim vests.... cuteness overload! they dont mind the vests at all. their mom is enjoying herself. yo yo makes a great helper and so attentive.
Lucy was really enjoying her swim time. She is such a good Mom. What a fun age for the puppies with new adventures daily. Major cuteness when the ears starting to standing and they get those expressive shepherd looks. Lucky pups!
Perfect way to start my day, coffee and puppies! My granddaughter is visiting and loves the puppies and Cutie Pie! Fun day at the farm!
What a fun and lovely video. Thanks for showcasing Lucy and her 3 little munchins. Loved it when Elle was carrying a pup like a suitcase, they are very portable in those vests. So cute when Evie was walking in the dam being trailed by a pup. Love the way Uncle Yoyo keeps an eye on the pups to keep them safe. Thanks for sharing all the highlights of the pups training.
They're 7 weeks already?! 😲 they'll be leaving the den soon won't they. *sigh* they grow up so fast
I hope you guys keep mom and the pups. 😔

Watch out Cutie Pie…next week those pups might be bigger than you😉♥️. Lucy was really enjoying her swim. 🥰 Such a treat for her. A swim and free puppy sitting. Woohoo!
Wasn't this video just perfection? Everyone getting along and helping out; all adding to the positive experiences that will shape their personalities. I'd like to follow each puppy and watch individual development. I think the mid-sized floppy eared one is the female who plays with Cutie Pie. while it is rare that I will get a puppy to raise as all of my kids have been, and will be, rescues, I'm sure I can learn about providing good experiences to help any dog of any age develop properly. Kudos to Lucy who is a wonderful mom who shares her beautiful puppies. Thank you Sam, Luke and kids.
They are cute
Such a lovely time together 💕
