Polkadot envisions a multi-chain future and bases design decisions around how to make the decentralized web a reality. One such consideration was how to scale a decentralized blockchain network through parachains on the Polkadot and Kusama networks where resources are bound. Optimistically, the relay chain may support up to 100 parachain for each block.
In this talk, Parity Technologies core developer Shawn Tabrizi walks through the latest timetable for parachain auctions, how crowdloans work, and the dos and don’t of participating in a slot auction.
