I love the look of Bible journaling but once you put some of these stickers down that page can not be read anymore. Should we just stick to the margins. I am much older (69) and feel like I am doing something wrong by covering "The Word". Anybody else feel like this or am I just weird? LOL!!!
I'm glad to see that Day Spring stepped it up a bit with this kit...the addition of the ink pad and free shipping for a few days after release will increase interest in what is a lovely kit. I agree with you that the change of format when journaling in the (In)Courage Bible is a nice change of pace. Thank you for a very thorough review, those frame stamps will be fun to use.
This is all very artistic and beautiful. I've never ever known that people do this in their personal bibles. I have one question though, How can you refer to a specific scripture if it's all covered up with fancy artwork? So is this a second hand Pretty Bible just for show? Is this your stay at home Bible for just your special scriptures or Psalms or Proverbs? Because if you need to go over verses or references.. you can't once it's all covered up. I'm not trying to cause problems.. I was thinking of using some of these ideas for a workshop, or a way to get younger people to stay involved in their bibles. But I don't want them to glue, paste and paint and not full read the word to their best understanding. Please respond if you can.. Thank you.
I enjoy journaling, but I personally never cover the words so that they are unreadable.

This is a way to have one on one with Jesus. Another way of praising Him. You would not do this to your study Bible or the Bible you take to church. Many Journaling Bibles have over 1000 pages and are a way of expressing your love to God. This is your own personal Bible.
@@JenLvsJesus Agree! While I often make notes, highlight, add sticky note sheets, etc. I don't cover God's word. Hiding His word is like making my wishes more important than Him!
I like all three techniques! It was really nice of you to show all of them. By the way, love my Momentum membership and all that encompasses thank you! As always, you are the bomb!
Thanks for the tut! Where do you get matte sticker paper. The only stuff I've been able to find is glossy, but it's very shiny. I love the way yours blends in with the page.
Great question! I have over 60 Bibles on hand plus the ability to read it online. I read it every day on an app on my phone too. I don't recommend covering the words if you only have 1 Bible. I hope this helps!
Great question! Right now we aren't holding a sale, but be sure to follow us here on UA-cam because I share sales/coupons in our community thread when they are available! Our store printables are also all included in our Momentum membership :)
Hi im new to this stuff, I have a question why do you/ppl cover the word of God? Is it a trend or just preference?.. Will you be able to read what is covered or painted over? I'm so liking this but worried i may not be able to read it after ..love your videos thanks for sharing.. i want to get back into God's Word and i want to journal and make it more beautifully my own..
If you only have one Bible, please consider using a notebook or other art journal. Many Bible journaling gals use multiple Bibles so they may always read the Word. We have a free course (see description) if you'd like to learn more about this particular topic.
@@BibleJournaling yes planning on taking the course soon as i get a little better from surgery.. i hope i didn't come out as offensive I am just curious about it.. i do love it just idk worried that God may be offended.. but.. thank you for all your videos and the time you take to create and teach others.. Hey Mandy! I do print for Bible Journaling Ministries and that form to access printing services is available after you have checked out at www.biblejournalingministries.com/shop I offer monthly Momentum Printing and individual kits and files as well.
Tracie, your videos are so easy to follow! I have one question about using the Avery sticker paper. I saw that you used colored ink to fill in the leaves on the vellum example. Is it possible to color on the sticker paper? or would we need to use vellum if we wanted to add color?
Hi Jackie! If you click this link and buy anything (you don't need to buy the specfic vellum it shows), we'll get credit. Thank yous so much! amzn.to/2GebkTY

I tried your Bible journaling selection tool 3 times and selected double column each time, and each time it recommended a single column Bible, why do you feel they are better?
Oh...it's probably recommending the single column because of a different reason...like translation. I prioritized translation over columns in the survey because it's usually what drives someone to read the Bible more rather than format. I'll add this to my list to review when I update the tool Thank you for your feedback!

I just said the same it's a shame to cover God's words ❤
This is so so beautiful. I really need a journaling NIV bible... Oh my... I can't wait to have such moments in my Bible ❤️
How do you see the words that are covered??

I agree all this is pretty but how do you read the Word??? Isn’t that more beneficial?
The free course seems to be misleading to get my email address. No free course showed up.
I would love to do this
Thank you such straightforward advice .
That was pretty good. Sticker paper is very expensive, but gesso is really fun.
Thanks!
I cannot decide which is the best- they are all awesome options. I will try all of them. 👍
Thank you!

Yay!
They all look great thanks Tracie very informative.
Thank you Tracie! I really enjoyed this video!
Thank you, Rhonda! :)
Thank you for the comparison. This was very helpful.
You're welcome Linda!
Thank you for the comparison - I like the clear sticker paper myself but it was interesting to see the alternatives
Hello where can I get the pdf for the scriptures? I would like to use the sticker idea without covering up the Bible verses.
Here's the link: www.biblejournalingministries.com/product/beautiful-verses-traceables/
Just wondering, can you colour or paint on the clear matte sticker?
You can use alcohol or sharpie on clear sticker paper.
Awesome video! Ty❤🕊❤
Great ideas! Thank you, Tracie!
Thanks love!
I just purchased the download for the verses, and the website is not loading, and I haven't received them, what now????
Oh no! If you email support we can get those to you. Also check spam or junk folder - sometimes they end up there.
And Sharpies or markers? Is it the same you color the back side? Thank you
Hello is their a coupon I can use to purchase the digital Beautiful Verses download?

I had no idea you had to color the reverse side. What about if you’re coloring with regular pencils???
You can do either side
Do you printing the verse in paper vellun in the ink jet printer?
yes

You would need to use permanent ink to color on sticker paper - like a sharpie.

If I print on tissue paper on my HP printer won't the ink smear when I put gesso on it?

Where do I buy these
I try to put the links in the description for all our videos and classes. ;)
I've heard the name pronounced Mel-Kiz-a-deck
What's the difference between gesso and matte medium
Lots! First - they are made for different purposes. Second - the texture is way different.
How do you print using sticker paper? When I tried using sticker paper the ink smudge :-(
