Sweet books Joe. Those were super fun. It was cool to see a different Amazing Fantasy cover for a change. 👊👊🙏🙏😊😊
@@garybthecasualcomicguy5136 Thanks Gary but I still wish it was a free AF 15 🤩
I love those Green Lanterns, some of my favorites. Boy, Plastic Man was so well written, great humor !!
@@miltmiller9793 Thanks Milt.
It was a treat to see these books and learn more about them. Thank you, Joe 🎃
Thanks Tina.
I got that Doom Patrol with the Challengers of the Unknown 🔥🔥🔥
@@FreeKeyLoowee love the challengers. Hoping Gunn does too!
@AnachronicComics They made an appearance in the Teen Titans Go movie.
@ I’ll look it up. But I am hoping for a live action Challengers of the Unknown!
Many great DC covers and books. You did it again Joe showing many of the same books I have in my collection that I kept from my younger years. I managed to keep a few hundred of DC books from the mid 1960's to 1971, which is when I stopped collecting. I might be able to help should you ever interested in showing examples of DC comics from that era that you did not keep.
@@peterg167 Peter, I wish I knew which comics so didn’t keep! But then again, maybe not. LOL
Very cool books, Joe! Plastic Man may be my favorite from the bunch.
@@dougbratton7309 wish I had more. I think I did. It was the type of book I would have bought back in the day.
Great stuff Joe!
@@wellboar Thanks for watching Brad.
Wow, awesome books Joe🎉
@@stevewhite4533 Thank you Steve.
Great books, Joe. I'd like to see a video of the books she didn't let you keep, if you can recall them.
@@BrianLCS I wish I did recall the comics I literally threw in the garbage. I have some idea based on my buying habits of the time. I’ll give it some thought.
Great comic books.
Wow, fantastic copies, you really took care of them! While DC sales may have been slipping against Marvel during this period, they sure were making some beautiful comic books.
@@LeadPaint1 thanks. I was a big marvel fan back in the 1960s.
They were some lovely books, they certainly were brighter and more eye catching than todays, and in most cases what happened on the cover was usually in the book! Unlike today. Looks like you looked after them Joe! Lovely condition! And you were right about Aquaman, Vol 9 starts very soon!
@@Deadman1957TEB Thanks Terry. Aquaman needs some love.
Some more DC goodness Joe!
@@jerrythejitterbugcomicbook4098 Yes sir, Jerry!
🤓Mystery In Space is the book Joe you were referring to where Hawkman was a co feature. MIS #90 you forgot to mention was the cover inspiration for the Steranko Nick Fury in spacesuit cover. Still have the first 3 books you showed ; Doom Patrol my #1 DC SA team , Flash my #1 DC SA/ early BA hero but I did read all the others as well. Unfortunately I had to $ell my copy of that Atom issue for financial reasons. My official comic ( strip & book) reading began in late 1964. The Steve Ditko Amazing Fantasy story is also a favorite of mine. Steve's stories in those pre-hero Marvel anthologies were a little more favored by me than Jack's material but it's actually a Don Heck , whom I'm also a fan of , Strange Tales story that still remains my #1 pre hero entry: "Punishment" which first appeared in Strange Tales #88 and was later reprinted in Fantasy Masterpieces , 7 or 8 ( along with another favorite story "Titan"). The story is predictable but it's the last 2 pages that still remain compelling for me.
@@anthonyperdue3557 great comment Anthony. Thanks.
