I wish Superman is good; maybe i can enjoy one and not have to defend it all the time.
I think you will be good on this one.
Wonderful insight gentlemen. I was very excited about the FF trailer. I said to myself I think this one is going to be a good one with writing, looks etc true to the characters
agree
The FF are not hard to write at all. It’s 4 distinct personalities who go on exciting adventures and grow closer as a family. If that’s hard to write, then what are we even doing? There’s also way more than just two good runs.m, completely disagree with Chuck on that. Simonson, Waid runs are great, other runs like Perez and Fraction aren’t amazing, but solid. The FF have a pretty good comic track record, imo.
Good comment
Fantastic show gentlemen, thank you for your insight on the upcoming movies.
Thanks Steve. It was fun!
Great show, Joe, Alan, Chuck, Matt, and Philtastic! Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend!
Thank you James. It was lots of fun.
Wow Outstanding Portfolios !!! 😁👍 Love Curt Swan and Dan Jurgens !!! And i wish i had the Ken Haeser Mean Superman too !!! 🇺🇸
@@bartpowell9003 thanks. I have some more but I am in Florida for a bit and the remaining ones will have to wait until I get back to NY.
Actually is number 2
Interesting video. I'm curious as to why, at your age, you're still adding to your collection. This isn't a criticism at all, but just a genuine question. At 61, I find myself wanting to unload stuff I've collected rather than buy more. Is collecting, for you, a way to stay engaged with a wider community, or more of a way to keep in touch with your own past? If both, which is more important? Thank you.
@@TT-fq7pl I fully understand your question. For me, I enjoy collecting and looking for specific books. I have used books in my collection to raise money for charities. My intention is to retain only certain comics that I love and leave them to my son. I fully intend to use most of my collection to raise more money for St Jude’s, T2T and the American Cancer Society.
@@AnachronicComics Thank you for your response. That is a wonderful plan! I know from your channel that you also have a lot of fun with other collectors, and that's also a great reason to carry on. By the way, I was a huge fan of Kamandi in the 70s, and have kept those comics -- I have only about 4 or five of the Kirby issues missing.
Great stuff🎉
Thanks for watching!
Well done my friend Iam in The G Man totley aproves well done.
Thank you! I try and make these interviews about the artist/writer.
I enjoyed the review. I like go collect too. I think it's pretty fair and I use it to give me an idea of how the market is trending on a specific book and then I usually eye ball ebay sales to see how they stack up. Not scientific at all, but that's what has worked for me.
@@3GoodNerds I use both Go collect and CovrPrice but find GoCollect a bit more accurate on graded comics. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the upload Joe. Very informative
Great sketch and exclusive covers!
@@BrianLCS thanks. I went nuts back them to get these.
Joe, I am so conflicted when looking at the prices of these classic books. In one hand, I want them to be affordable; on the other hand, I do not want them to drop in values. I never shopped at Hips; are they compatible to mycomicshop?
How's this for geek Joe, that Batman #26 was also the 2nd appearance of Alfred on the cover, his first appearance on the cover was #22 April 1944, which coincided with his first appearance on the cover of Detective #86 cover date April 1944.
@@Deadman1957TEB great. Thanks for the info!
That Batman #26, features the first ever Alternate Batman from the year 3000! He appeared once more in Batman #700! Quite a gap, lol!
Interesting list! Thanks, Joe
Thanks for watching.
Great project! Thanks for sharing, Joe and Comic Journey.
Great goals, Joe! I may have some side quest/audible books you're looking for.
Thanks Doug. I'm sure you do!
All those seem like great ideas for the goals. I just made a wishlist so if I don’t get everything then it is fine. I also included by saying any cool negative space variants that come out are an auto buy. 😀
@@DiggerJim7202 nice Digger. Wish list works. I just wanted to have a focus-based approach
I like it
Great breakdown. Good luck with your goals!
@@cwwheelz Thanks Clyde. Hope all is well.
👍👍👍
Wonderful advice Joe! Keep on collecting.
As a collector on a budget I’ve refrained from setting goals, the reason why is I’m forever waiting for opportunities when they present themselves. I would only set goals if I had more funding in my comic book hobby.
@@dandelatorre1870 Dan that’s kind of my approach. They are not really goals but “wants”. That’s why I don’t put any time frame on them. Good luck.
Great run down Joe.
Trust you to do it Anachronically, Joe! I'm slowing down this year, over the last 4 years I've spent miles to much! Since completing my Action and Superman goals 3 years earlier than expected. I started on Brave and the Bold, just back to Batman's first appearance and The Flash just back to Vol 1 #164. I have the Showcases and #105-163 in omnibuses. The main title I will be concentrating on is Daredevil back to #2, have about 70 to get, I think I will have to be happy with the Facsimile of #1 that's coming out soon! I will still collect these old books like I did with Action and Superman by year, I hate gaps and having complete years feels tidier! The only other books are Batman and Detective which I'm slowly eating away at, I don't imagine going back any further than 1967 with them, especially Batman, apart from anything else they weren't great reading before then and spending hundreds of pounds on books I wont even read seems pointless. I'm also hoping to visit some comic conventions this year to buy physically. The majority of the books I want now need to be checked for condition and ebay can be quite a let down for that! Like you this isn't for 2025, but I would like to do most of it before I'm 70, but we will see? Sorry to witter on! Good luck with your strategy! And may all of your wants be bargains!
You have quite a job ahead of you! I have three facsimile copies of B&B #28. I will get a copy of the original, but it may not be for a while.
I like this approach to goals!! I may need to implement some of these ideas into my own!
Thanks Alan. Good luck!
Very good video my brother 👊🏻
I like how you did your goals. Good ideas my friend 👍🏻 😃
Thank you for sharing this awesome content. Have a great day.
Thank you so much. I appreciate the comment. be well.
Awesome pieces Joe! I remember when these Action's came out, so many cool covers, glad you got all of the sigs/remarques!

Awesome, Joe!
Great great books 👊🏻

Nice books Joe! Those remarques are really nice!
Thanks Mark
Great show! Chuck that Nancy pick up is awesome! Nice finds all the way round by all! I feel so good I did not cost any one money this show WooHoo!
@@markandrews6142 you will on the next one, I’m sure😆
They were some great books Joe, worthy of a folio place! I'm surprised you didn't get a 1950's Action #1000? I have the colour Dan Jurgens, but not signed! I did buy all the decade variants! My favourite is the blank, because of my only original art by Ian Richardson, as per my thumbnail! Look forward to #3.
@@Deadman1957TEB I may have the 1950s. Stay tuned.
@@AnachronicComics I will!
