Hey Rob, thanks so much for the kind words! Really made my day. I hope you do get out into your woods, there! One thing that I hope to convey is just how accessible camping can be... it doesn't need to be a 200 mile hike on a thru trail, or a grand journey up a mountain... sometimes it's just nice to find a small plot of woods to relax and enjoy nature, wherever they may be; and you have some beautiful forests over there in Scotland!
Same thing here with the Birch. I REALLY wish there were more of them around. These videos get better and better bud. The part with the deer was hilarious.
Thanks, man! I really appreciate it. Yeah I get way too excited when I see a birch because it's always a crapshoot. Not only is the bark invaluable, but they're a very striking, beautiful tree. Very funny! reminds me of when we were kids in our front yard at night, seeing headlights, screaming caaaaarr! and we would panic scatter and dive into the shrubs. same feeling watching this
Lol when you thought the deer was a person, reminded me of the one time years ago i was walking along a trail, home from a pool hall after a few to many and saw what i thought was a group of guys walking towards me in the dark, and almost fought a herd of deer lmao.
Haha yeah man, they can look like people! I was like, 100% positive someone was sneaking around. If it weren't for seeing the last deer ( I think there were 3) I probably would have kept thinking that all night haha
Trail running is very popular and common - I used to do it all the time. Usually in groups but when you are alone, you are hyper-focused on your feet to not trip on a root or rock.
