Useful technique. A parallax shader might be better if you're not getting close or a tangential angle. Otherwise, 20-30 different rock models could be instanced across the surface (memory only holds the individual geometry and the instance transforms so it's not too expensive). The latter has the bonus of no heightmap artifacts from single-axis displacement.
I still dont get it, this is object displacement not material displacement, So if i have an object with 2 materials how do i displace the correct part of the object without displacing the other.
The material he uses is called ORDp material. Red Channel = O = Occlusion (Ambient) Green Channel = R = Roughness Blue Channel = Dp = Displacement Map Thats why he use blue channel.
I can't do it, when I change the type of displacement to texture2d map the message appears: "the virtual texture must be deactivated in the selected 2d texture to use it as a displacement map in this tool" how do i solve?
These days, I watched about 10 videos about displacement. You were the best! Thank you very much!
The only best tutorial for 3D displacement on UE5 !
thanks bro.
i second that
i am a beginner in unreal engine 5 and this tutorial is just clear respect bro 😉
i was trying to figure out how they make the surface look like 3d and finally found out. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this. Great tutorial. Very easy to follow along
thanks bro
Brilliant! Thanks 😊
You're very welcome!
wow thank you this was a really good tutorial!
Always welcome
nanite is insane, im lagging while applying the displacement. but then conversion to 3d mesh is just a lifesaver
thank you
Good job man
Nice tutorial bro thanks
gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!
Very helpful!
Thanks a lot
Thank you for this! Do you happen to know if it works with world aligned materials?
now tell us how do we apply these to landscape
Thank you!!!
welcome
thanks! very cool))

btw, what is the meaning of the blue channel?
Blue channel is considered as Displacement channel in this case.
The material he uses is called ORDp material.
Red Channel = O = Occlusion (Ambient)
Green Channel = R = Roughness
Blue Channel = Dp = Displacement Map
Thats why he use blue channel.
Bhai Unreal engine mein movie environment create karne ke bad save kaise karen reuse karne ke liye
Dm me
I can't do it, when I change the type of displacement to texture2d map the message appears: "the virtual texture must be deactivated in the selected 2d texture to use it as a displacement map in this tool"
how do i solve?
Go to project setti g and turn off the VIRTUAL texturing
Well, how to use it as a ground? Am I supposed to install 10,000 of these models?
We can't add it to whole landscape / it doesn't work on landscape mesh
bro night sence ka koi video bnao
yes brother , sure.....stay connected and keep supporting.
Bhai Unreal engine Mein camera use Kaise karun
I have created a tutorial called "CINEMATIC " you can check in my channel.
Cant hear what the hell you are saying.
Everyone is talking about it.
