I didn't realize how fast 3.5 speed was until you played the comment with the video demonstrating that. That's actually crazy. Also, skipping character development is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Yeah I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and I even played some audio books myself to make sure that the comment was faking or not; made sure if it was *slightly* possible to understand But no,it straight up sounds like gibberish
I prefer to skip 5 secs, read the subs, then skip 5 secs again if the show if moment feels boring, but im doing it less than i used to, gintama is fixing my attention span the speed trick destroys the ost so much tho plus u want to be productive? dont watch anime
I love anime, and just finished AOT yesterday (watched at normal speed). HOWEVER- I think we can all agree/acknowledge one piece is mostly filler so I would watch it at 8x speed unless it was a cool part then I'd slow it down. No joke, I downloaded chrome extinctions to make it faster. I just can't get through some one piece arcs because the pacing is atrocious. At this point tho I gave up on one piece and have switched to the manga since it's better paced, and have never watched anything else sped up. And yeah I could read the captions, since I know people are gonna say there's no way!
I’m with you on that, but let’s be honest getting into one piece, Naruto, detective Conan; it’s gunna take a good amount of time just due to the sheer amount of episodes there are. But I have always wondered: one piece approximately has 1100 episodes, how many episodes are actually filler though?
@@MrMicMac11 I was in dressrosa when I started the 8x thing, and it was torture to get through. I love the story of one piece, but when you break it down I could watch all of AOT two and a half times or just Wano. And about half of each episode is intro/ recap.
That guy needs to learn that not everything in life needs to be productive. Sometimes its okay to just sit back and enjoy things. I bet his attention span is cooked too.
I think how he got to 3.5x was first speeding up to 1.5x then 2x, then 3x then 3.5x. He got used to those speeds after some time and increased it further. BUt yeah it doesnt that way for shows, sometimes moments are just meant to be taken in slowly. literally had a friend where he watched this series. we both loved it and when i asked him on stuff for some reason he couldnt answer and was even surprised that that much depth and nuance were there to begin with. Turns out he watched it in 2x lol. Lesson learnt there. Edit: some grammar fixes
Completely understandable that you could get used to something like that, but I only see it viable when it comes to audio books and maybe if pushing it dubs
Watching anime at 1.5x or maybe 2x at a stretch isn’t too bad but by when you get to the point of watching at 3.5x, that’s just straight up disrespectful to the animators. Imagine accidentally watching an unexpected death of a really important character at 3.5x and not realising that they died until you see their grave like 5 episodes later.💀
Only thing I ever watch sped up is some YT videos. How can you enjoy art if the nuance is completely removed from it? For example, pauses in dialogue could be monumental to a particular moment. If you 3.5x speed right through that, you wouldn't even notice the characters stopped talking. I think if you're watching anime for "an interesting scene" then you're not watching it for the right reasons anyway. (this also applies to films, TV shows, music, etc.)
Yeah I don’t get the whole push for speeding things up, I’ll excuse multi tasking and missing important key points, but multi tasking and playing 3x speed? Not only are you missing key points, but you wouldn’t notice you missed key points until 3 episodes later
the Day 1.0 could be updated to having 48 or 72 hours, it has been 24 hours for literal eons, we spend 1/3 of it in a queue waiting by the night to play, and then we grind another 1/3 of it just to keep our builds. also, the server has a serious hacker issue, gotta perma-ban those using modded clients to get super-rich and never grind, causing grinding to take proportionally just as long for everyone else.
The only anime that made me use 2x speed was one piece during MarineFord arc, the pacing was horrendous, and then I found out about OnePace and watch that instead

Fastest way to finish an anime is to read the episode summaries from Wikipedia. Fight me lol
can he even say that he watches anime

I started watching Detective Conan in 2016, caught up in 2019.

I know right?? Then we get the complaints: “there are so many plot holes!” Or “this wasn’t explained clearly!”
