- Hi guys! In this video I go over how to play Astrologian in PVP. This guide was done as of patch 6.11A and doesn't reflect any changes that were made afterwards!
Astrologian is your go to support healer who not only buffs your party but can dish out the damage. There's no pathetic cards in their deck!

Hi Moises! I saw your tell when I came back from dinner! I also have been playing PVP way more than PVE. I have yet to do the new trial, MSQ or the 24 man raid! Thank you and I plan on doing so :)
I can't believe I have been so addicted to pvp especially me since when I first played ff14 I have not wanted to play pvp cuz I left the pvp games behind after I joined the final fantasy series, but crystaline conflict is just too much fun it reminds me of my day with overwatch

I love AST in PVP. I hope the rework in 7.0 takes some things from this.
I agree Sergel! They did a really good job on the PVP side of things for the most part!
"Only use cards when you are in battle" - So is using any card outside of battle useless? Do you still get the 10% dmg buff or will only Spire and Ewer be snapshotted? What counts as in battle, when someone on a team took damage? Should I run in and try to get into Battle asap as AST in order to make my cards do something? Optimizing this seems very much a small science.
Most of the time using a card outside of battle is useless MrLyramion. If someone on your team gets into combat and they have six seconds left on the card then they'll get two ticks worth of the effect. I always Draw and use the card before the timer wears.
If you're playing in Frontlines then a battle music will come on to let you know. If you're in Crystalline Conflict then any ally on your team using actions or who've been damage will count as a battle.
Do not run into battle to get a card out. You're more than a 10% buff. You have the second highest burst for healers. I have an AST POV up if you want to see how I played it aggressively while not feeding the enemy team.
@@Naztalgic_Memories Someone on discord mentioned that cards get "snapshotted". So if you used Spire out of combat then the whole 15 seconds would be useless even if someone were to enter combat. I can however neither confirm not deny that claim atm
