The reason the slit in the maxi dress is so high is because it isn't fitting you correctly. Your stomach is causing it to ride up and thus the slit is way higher than it should be. Don't downsize in clothing unless you've lost weight to justify it. Otherwise you will always be disappointed.
PLus it isn't really that high, its just not normal for a stomach to be hanging that low.

Why are you downsizing? Shop by your measurements and things will fit better.
I'm not trying to throw shade. I just think downsizing isn't in anyone's best interest when buying clothing unless they have lost weight to justify it. The burgundy shirt you bought in essentially a 3x and you complained about it being short and tight. I'm sorry, but you are not a 3x. That's why the shirt was too short and too tight. I'm plus size and I understand the struggles. Better fit starts with being honest with yourself about measurements and sizes.

On a random note I am so sad and cranky at the same time in this moment but this video made me feel better. Just watching someone having fun with dressing nice and talking to me (the viewers) was so comforting. I don't know maybe I'm odd. I sometimes think that a nice outfit and taking care of yourself isn't wrong because yourself matters too. Just taking care of myself and looking well put together most times makes me feel grounded...like I matter. We should love ourselves and care about ourselves too not just our loved ones. It's like I feel invisible or not real if I don't do something for myself or by myself for just a moment each day. I have two young children so it's me sacrificing everything most days so that especially matters. Although I wouldn't have it any other way of course. I appreciate having my children in my life or having any at all.

There is no way she is 26/28 the girth of her mid section is too wide shes 34/36 easily.. So stuff is not so tight and shows her rolls.. Im fat too im. A size 30/32 so i hate tight fitting stuff..

Fun and successful haul! The earrings were a steal...the hoops look amazing on you especially with your haircut (and I love the red color again btw)! The clothes you are keeping are definitely keepers...I love bell-sleeved tops (and dressses) so much so I guess that's my favorite if I had to pick a favorite, but the colors in the paisley print top were beautiful, too. The clogs shouldn't be too hard too break in...I have some and love them for their comfort! Admittedly, they do hurt to break in, but they’re amazing once they have been. They’re a shoe that a lot of nurses wear... because they’re so comfortable 😊❤️

I always clean up on dresses from Avenue when they have sales. I used to sleep on them but they are starting to get more trendy which I love. However, the fits now can be a little tricky these days. I loved your haul, my favorite is the paisley top. And I love your makeup too!

3 I totally get the arm thing, I have always carried extra weight in my arms even when I was much smaller than I am now so some sleeves can be tight
4 the skater dress print is well done but I swear it's mostly flowers and Paisley patterns for plus size clothes especially larger sizes. I ready for something new but I would still buy that skater dress as it's adorable
