Yeah love ponce. He really realized goddamn this a Cy Young Pitcher I have here Im going to get him to teach me his best pitch Ronnie too, to bad he couldnt have met Trevor 8 years ago
Trevor, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis but happy you caught it early to begin treatment with IVIG. I can fully relate to where I was diagnosed with cancer called CLL (chronic lymphocytic Leukemia) 2 years ago which was a shock as I was in the hospital for double pneumonia. I'm now on monthly IVIG infusions as well where my IgG is low which is a condition of CLL that basically destroys my immune system where I can't fight off respiratory infections. I'm now in evaluation for a lung transplant which is sad as I was a college baseball pitcher. Prayers for you and control of your auto-immune disease so that you will return to MLB soon!
No, no... Trev is a clubhouse cancer. /s Seriously, if the people who believe that he's a cancer watched his videos, they may change his mind. I'd want him on my team (WSox or Cubs, I'm not picky).
Man Trevor, what a courageous and strong way of disclosing this life changing event in your life. We don't know exactly the struggles you're going through but from a human point of view...I know thousands of us are wishing you the best. At the end of the day, you're doing what you love and we get to witness glimpses of that on UA-cam. I thank you for your insight into a sport I love but giving way more than any of us could in return.
This was one of the best vlog seasons I've ever seen. I've learned so much and got to really see what type of dude Trevor is. I look forward to his content every week & I hope it continues no matter where he plays.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE the respect shown by doing the Ponce cutter montage and letting him get a spotlight for a minute. Worked it out and now showing how effective it is after all that work. Very awesome of u to show .
Bauer im glad you're rebuilding ur life after all the struggles u were facing it was hell but came back from the bottom of the pit everybody makes mistakes nobody is perfect well you're having a new in Mexico god bless you bro
You pitched against one of my best friends in this series-Tarpley. Was my dream matchup! My two favorite pitchers head to head in the biggest game of the season. GG’s
My close family member plays in the National Division of the Major League. In a recent gathering, I asked several players from his team what they think about Trevor Bauer and his UA-cam channel. First, they say they watch his UA-cam a lot. Second, they say Trevor should be back in the MLB. From this small sample, it's not the current MLB players that don't want Trevor to return. Thanks for sharing this season. Best entertainment all year.
Glad to hear that you caught it early. I've learned a lot from you and it would break my heart to learn that you're paralyzed. Hope yall make it through the postseason successfully!
their postseason is already over. bauer pitched super well on short rest in the finals to close it out. their series went 4-1 over puebla, 4-0 over yucatan, 4-3 over oaxaca, and 4-0 over monterrey in the finals
What a life you have lived Trevor. How awesome it was to see you and the boys celebrate together. Once in a lifetime experience. We are all glad you're healthy again.
Is this the first time you’ve announced you have UC? Thank you for doing that. I have Crohn’s and people like me who like to stay active and play competitive sports can use someone like you for inspiration. Thanks Trevor!
My nephew was born blind then got a really bad case of Guillain-Barré syndrome a couple years ago. He was fully paralyzed by it and can't even eat or talk anymore. Glad to hear your case was pretty mild and you are feeling better now!
Trev is literally just different any other person would have just given up the season or even their career. Trev flys back and forth just to pitch in the playoffs. What a guy
O. K. So Trevor had Cholera, Ulcerative Colitis, Plantar Fasciitis, Guillain Barre Syndrome and set the league record for strike outs in a game while becoming the Orel Hershiser of Mexico.
1:22 dude I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Wednesday, I had my gallbladder taken out a couple years ago go and I’ve never felt 100% like myself since. I’m going down the rabbit hole of testing to figure out if my symptoms are derived from something like Chron’s or UC. Hearing more people talk about gut issues makes me feel less alone in this venture, thank you for being you dude.
I watched a vid today in which one of the guys was proposing Trevor Bauer would be a good addition to the Orioles. While his preconditions were ridiculous, it's good to hear Trevor being included in MLB conversations.
This was an incredible plot/story/path to follow! Thanks for bringing us along. Love the Ponce story arc, and I'm glad Kevin was included in the playoff celebration.
I had guillain-barré when I was 15 years old. I couldn't walk properly or even hold fork and knife while eating. It was literally hell on earth for me. Luckily I got healthy from it but I had to go through lots of physical therapy to build back my basic motor skills. I am eternally thankful for all the doctors who helped me to get back to a healthy condition. So yes... I can relate with Trevor on how bad guillain-barré can be.
My dad was diagnosed with A.L.S. a few years ago. And it hurt to hear that that could be a possibility for you. I’ve looked up to u as a player for as long as I can remember. Glad y’all could strike the sickness early🙏
I was at the game 3 in yucatan to see Trevor pitch. Shout out to Trevor for signing a game ball I had and shout out to Kevin I got to have a chat with him. Real nice dude
I f'ing love the "Ponce and the cutter" saga! Keep doing those epic edits before the updates on how it's going...they are great. And Ponce, keep practicing it so we can all enjoy when the conquest is complete!
thought the same thing, love watching ronnie. totally different person/player from the start of the season but looks like they just moved him to the in-active roster.
I'm so happy to hear you got diagnosed quickly. Drop-foot is a very serious symptom, and 2 people I know have had it, and it was a result of MS, which is a lifelong battle with no cure. So glad ur diagnosis was treatable . Hope u get back to MLB or enjoy whatever you decide to do. We will enjoy watching. Japan or USA or Mexico or DR...wherever. stay dominant and have fun.
I would as a fan of Trevor Baur almost rather see him stay in Mexico city and be happy the amount of respect he gives and receives with this organization is incredible..... Atta Boy Trevor Baur.....
20:20 Congratulations to Erick Leal, who was signed to the New York Yankees organization today (14 September 2024) after a great LMB season with the Diablos Rojos.
Damn, I’m sorry to hear this, Trev, but I know you’re a fighter and if anyone can overcome, it’s you! IVIg sucks and EMG is pure hell, but I know you’re happy to have a Dx (not from Dr Google lol). I’m rooting for you and your team, but for your success in life overall! You’re an inspiration to a lot of us and I am a huge fan. Can’t wait to keep watching you dominate and 🗡️ people for years to come in whatever league you decide to dominate!! #TB96 #BauerOutage ⚡️
Baseball Reference has been behind. It's had you at 10-0, 2.48, 120 K's for like 2 months now, so I thought you were still ahead in the triple crown. Would love to have an up to date stat sheet. Love following your every start. Prayers for your successful treatment!
OMG man. GB is no joke. I have had close friends on ventilators from that. You are very lucky. Also, to go thru this and everything else, you are truly a warrior. MUCHO KUDOS, my friend. Many Props!!
Hand's down my favorite pitcher of all time. The respect and energy within the team is crazy. I can't believe that early on I believed the lies that the he was a "clubhouse menace." Keep up the good work Trevor!
GBS is very serious. I'm glad you caught it quick. My father came down with Descending GBS. He was 74 and could not recover from a blood clot. You know how serious GBS is and how a blood clot could have ended you, Career. Best of luck to you. Your content is what baseball needs.
This is what my med school textbook says about Guillain-Barré : "Autoimmune condition that destroys Schwann cells via inflammation and demyelination of motor fibers, sensory fibers, peripheral nerves (including CN III-XII). Likely facilitated by molecular mimicry and triggered by inoculations or stress. Despite association with infections (eg, Campylobacter jejuni, viruses [eg, Zika]), no definitive causal link to any pathogen. Results in symmetric ascending muscle weakness/paralysis and depressed/absent DTRs beginning in lower extremities. Facial paralysis (usually bilateral) and respiratory failure are common. May see autonomic dysregulation (eg, cardiac irregularities, hypertension, hypotension) or sensory abnormalities. Most patients survive with good functional recovery." I hope you make a full recovery!
Glad you're ok. My brother has colitis so I know what you're dealing with. I also know about guillain barre. My mom has it and she's been bed ridden for 11 yrs as a result, you got lucky. Gut health is crucial. Man I hope you make it back and to Cincinnati if it were up to me. Congratulations on the championship and a dominant season!
I hope your health improves. I remember reading books and trying to improve on my own as a teenager in the 90's. The 5 pitchers who will get to work with you are extremely fortunate. I hope someone becomes obsessed and makes it to the bigs out of the 5.
Hey trevor,. I really liked the way you calmed your teammate when he was mad. Any way you could put some tips on being a good leader like that in the next video
That first celebration reminds me of a house party when I was in college. Had a beer slip n slide from one end of the house to the other. We chopped down a tree. Utah is awesome
Whatever team you end up playing for next year must make a roster spot for Ponce. I would love to see the two of you as teammates forever...the chemistry is gold.
Hey Trevor, here is wishing you a speedy recovery. Rewind to cholera…then antibiotics that undoubtedly affected your intestinal microbiome. That disruption in the biome led to the immune attack on your intestinal lining causing your colonic ulcerations. The immunologic/biologic you were put on for the colitis then set the stage for the pathology that led to your demyelinating disease. Fix the gut biome you fix all the problems. You might look to a fecal microbiome transplant to re-establish a healthy biome and treat your U.C. (Ulcerative colitis).
I thought it may have been some form of neuropathy. I have diabetic neuropathy in my left foot along with foot drop, used to be my entire leg, but slowly getting better now thankfully, and your symptoms looked like mine.i still have the numbness and "static" in mine, but they dead "boot foot" feeling and general loss of feel sucks to have. Good luck managing and hopefully beating your GBS.
I like Ponce. He’s good people. Great cutter montage 😂! Also, take care of yourself, Trev. You likely have access to the best doctors money can buy, so I know you’re in good hands. Salude!
For those Interested and since it wasnt posted, the song from Ponce's Cutter Montage is In Arcadia by Field of Giants. Great jam and nice Resident Evil reference as well. Shazam ftw. Also giving off some Young Guns (band) vibes as well. Very cool.
It's probably been said before, but Trevor has a future as a pitching coach after his playing career has ended. I've never heard better insight about all the aspects of pitching from anyone else, ever.
So happy for Ponce. The man has found his cutter that he's been trying to find all season AND has himself a stable catch partner who's there for him day-in and day-out.
The Ponce cutter montage was both hilarious and awesome for him.
The convo immediately after Ponce watched this video must've been hilarious.
Actually fucking loved it. I love ponce man., glad he finally got a got mid speed pitch now!
Yeah love ponce. He really realized goddamn this a Cy Young Pitcher I have here Im going to get him to teach me his best pitch
Ronnie too, to bad he couldnt have met Trevor 8 years ago

Stay strong buddy
@@JudahSorce-ij9bdDude shut up.
stories like these always make me a bit depressed, hope you can get back on the field someday!

@hillarybeck8333 ya I'm pretty sure it's in leviticus somewhere.
Ponce finally getting the cutter was so satisfying. Congratulations.

Ponce figuring out his cutter brought a tear to my eye. Legend
it’s been a journey
So stoked he finally felt confident enough to use it in a game, and managed to get 6 Ks with it to boot.
This was one of the best vlog seasons I've ever seen. I've learned so much and got to really see what type of dude Trevor is. I look forward to his content every week & I hope it continues no matter where he plays.
Trevor can't leave mexico, or Ponce needs to sign wherever Trevor signs. Those two are gold together haha
And Ronny. Dude still has a lot to learn from Trevor
