Always refreshing to hear a pro being honest about his mistakes and saying "I got lucky here." These videos are fascinating. And I don't even really watch baseball.
That's why Trevor is much more needed in MLB (I hate MLB now, they are too political and act like the mafia trying to setup Trevor with that hooker) that some tool like Garret Cole, who goes out thinking that playing baseball is a job. I really hate that mentality...that's why some players just look unhappy all the time (Cole) and some players look like they're having fun (Trevor)....to quote Jack Elliot - "baseball's a game and games are supposed to be fun".
Top of the 5th. You've got 5 strike outs, a shut out, and your team is up by 2. You haven't thrown many pitches and have only given up 1 base on the day. What do you do? You miss the location of a curveball causing a popup instead of a strikeout, which infuriates you, messing up your entire rythm. Hearing your analysis of situations like this is really enlightening. You hold yourself to such a high standard, nothing short of perfect is good enough. What makes this a unique experience, though, is hearing you relive the moment and point out your own mistakes. Not many people analyze their own performance publicly and point out their own flaws. You are a unique person, Trevor Bauer, and you deserve to be in the mlb.
This is spectacular content. Having him mic'd for real time processing and them having him do the breakdown afterwards- that's hard to do. Trevor Bauer is a gem
These commentated videos are revolutionary. Every single aspiring youth pitcher/catcher should be watching these and understand how unique these videos are. I have been around the game for 40 years and have never seen any videos as informative in my life. These should be saved in the national archives. Amazing amazing amazing I love watching these videos. My playing days are over but as a purist and coach I have learned so much what a professional pitcher and catcher is doing during a game on the mound. Now if we could have a professional hitter do the same type of videos. Absolutely priceless! You are a revolutionary legend Trevor and everyone loves it.
Lifelong Twins fan but have been appreciating Bauer since Cleveland. I hope people truly understand how fortunate we are to see how a (current) Cy Young pitcher goes about his business. Invaluable content for younger players, especially ones trying to manage the mental and emotional part of the game.
The true influence Trevor Bauer has on baseball will never be more apparent than when it gets time for the Little League World Series and we see 12 year old pitchers "swording" opposing players
This GUY is UNBELIEVABLE to listen to and watch. What a gift to learn from a MLB pitcher his thought process. He is one of the best in the world, but he would also be the best pitching coach in history. This video was AMAZING 🙌👊🤝
I do not watch baseball but i can appreciate the love for the craft this man has and believe that Trevor is doing more for the sport of baseball as a whole being on these international teams than he could have done if he were in the mlb. Im glad he is getting the love from the Mexican fans and people throughout the world.
“May the sword be with you” merch!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on Trevor!!!!! Who is on your team????? It’s right there and do it in a galaxy theme and the jersey you wore for the May 4 game for color ways!!!!
I think he will eventually get in when the older voters are replaced by younger baseball writers. David Ortiz, pudge, Bagwell were all accused or it was known they took PEDs, so they will eventual realize the hypocrisy of keeping players like Barry bonds and sosa out of the hof
As a hitter, watching your videos helps me get in a pitchers mind and predict the next pitch that is coming. I thoroughly enjoy the breakdowns and it also is making my BA and HHR skyrocket. Thanks Bauer!!
i love these breakdown videos so much. hearing you walk us through your thinking AND explaining how the pitches move and why X pitch sets up Y pitch is so interesting. every time one of these videos come out i get an uncontrollable urge to play the show because it's as close as i'll ever get to pitching to someone at this point.
I’m not a big baseball fan at all but this so incredibly interesting. Hearing the thought process behind your pitching is so much more in-depth than I could imagine. You have to be an encyclopedia of knowledge and be able to process all this information with a pitch clock no less. You should be back in a big league stadium! Hopefully a team will pull the trigger soon!
It's always interesting to listen to Trevor explain the psychology and physics of pitching. I've learned more from these video breakdowns than 30+years of watching MLB.
Never played baseball a day in my life. The sport is more or less non existing in Denmark where I'm from. But watching TB's videos really draws me in and makes me want to learn and I am. Spreading the game far and wide my guy! Thanks 👍👍👍
The head coach is awesome. Comes out, instills confidence in the pitcher and talks some shit on the hitter. Just what you want to hear from your coach.
Chess isn't that good of an analogy. It used to be like chess when pitchers threw 3 or 4 different pitches that were all unique to each other. They performed like different pieces on the board. Now, the pitches a pitcher learns are all identical to eachother until they either break or don't break. It would be like trying to play chess but having all the pieces look exactly the same. Trevor can throw 3 different pitches to the corner, have the batter believe they are all 3 the exact same pitch, and have all 3 be totally different finishing locations. They call it the tunnel. The ball leaves the hand and travels down the exact same tunnel until making the batter believe it is an identical pitch. Modern baseball innovation, if you ask me. Nobody in the 90's was talking about pitch tunnel, and pitch overlay. It's a new game. End rant.
@@johnthomas1422 nah, "tunneling" not modern at all, and is a very basic pitching technique. Once a young pitcher gets control of their location, literally the next thing to learn is how to mix up pitches and speeds, and how throwing different pitches in the same location can confuse the batter.
Bauer is becoming the Bourdain of baseball. While it’s frustrating for him and his fans, he is doing an amazing amount of good for the game. Blackballed or not from the MLB he’s living a Hall of Fame baseball adventure.
I absolutely love these vids. Seeing your thinking on your sequences is so awesome for people who love baseball. Thank you for this..... Also..... would LOVE to see you in Philly, in a Phillies uniform...........
Hey trev pretty sure you wont see this, but i pitched my first game of the season yesterday, had 7 k's 3 innings, probably 4 hits gave up and let up 5 runs, probably sat 77- 79, just hit a couple guys and walked a couple, we ended up losing pretty big, but overall i feel that im way better than i was last year. I feel that its because of your videos, and you giving insight on your outings, i really think it helped me get a lot better. Thanks for always coming out with great videos.
Mad respect for you, Trev! These breakdowns of your performances will help out so many young pitchers, and only help interest in the game. You definitely deserve a MLB contract. I just don’t think the MLB deserves you. Props bro 🫡💪
Expectations… if I had a nickle for every time I let my expectations for a specific outcome ruin my mindset and “take me outta the game” mentally. All you can do is trust the process and take it one pitch at a time with no expectations… Love these game reviews you do!!! To be able to (in a way) join you on the mound as you play through the game is so fascinating. All the intricacies of approaching the different batters, I just think it’s amazing and I truly appreciate this content! 🙏
Been waiting for him on the Phillies since he played in Japan. It's an unfortunate reality but the corrupt MLB already made their biased corrupt decision on him not to play. So messed up.
Probably not going to see this comment, but Trevor, no matter what happens just know that you and your content have rejuvenated my love of baseball. Been watching since the shortened Reds season on Momentum.
I have a very very difficult challenge for Trevor. Zero shake offs in the game. Everything the catcher calls is what you are throwing. The challenge will be keeping the confidence up behind every pitch and not second guessing everything.
I’ve seen a few different vids of Trevor lately on different platforms with people commenting on his weight going up a bit but first off the guy is pitching the best he ever has and for those who know about how he used to over obsess about baseball I love to see that he is becoming more relaxed in life and he seems to be enjoying life as a whole. Plus even if he does put on weight he’ll just be more like a real life Kenny powers and I’m here for it.
Trevor is the best ambassador for baseball. Unfortunately, the MLB is run by Woke executives who don't care about the health of baseball. Being an exceptional player matters less than the requirement to tow the company line. As long as the Woke executives would rather lose I doubt Trevor will ever return to the MLB. Ha😂😂 I see that every day at the practice. And the occasional DOORS!!!!

Has it already happened?
He has more influence over the future generations of baseball than any pitcher in the MLB right now because of these videos
