  • These Marbled Lemon Soaps are easy to make, and result in beautiful and unique bars each time. First, white and honey melt and pour soap is colored with natural activated charcoal and yellow Brazilian clay. The soap is poured into the 4 Cavity Hexagon Silicone Mold, swirling naturally as its poured.

    The bars are scented with Lemon Essential Oil, for a bright citrus scent. It complements the black and yellow design perfectly. If you'd like to highlight the honey in this recipe, Raw Honeycomb Fragrance Oil would work wonderfully.
    This recipe uses a full 16 ounces of both Honey and White Melt And Pour Soap Base. The mold contains four cavities, so you will have extra soap leftover. Allow the soap in the mold to harden, gently reheat the soap in your containers, and continue to pour the soap into the mold. Or if you prefer, you can use two molds (as shown in the video), or cut the recipe in half.
    Marbled Lemon Soap Recipe:
    4 Cavity Hexagon Silicone Mold
    16 oz. Honey Melt and Pour Soap Base
    16 oz. White Melt and Pour Soap Base
    1 tsp. Activated Charcoal
    1 tsp. Yellow Brazilian Clay
    2 Tbsp. Chamomile Extract
    10 mL Lemon Essential Oil
    99% Isopropyl Alcohol in a Spray Bottle
    Dropper

    I'm a new soaper and I just love Bramble Berry products! I always feel like I'm getting a special treat when my products arrive. I'm only experimenting with friends and family but one day I hope my customers will feel that same joy when they open up my packages. I purchased the lush honey fragrance collection and they all smell amazing and the packaging was soo cute! Just soaped with Ambrosia Blossom and it smells sooo freaking good. Love how the brown bottles look on my kitchen shelves. When I get some extra $$ I'll be back. Ha!

    Question:. Can you sub fragrance oils for essential ones? I'm new to soapmaking and love this!

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  3 роки тому +1

      You can, but you need to make sure you're using skin safe essential oils, such as the ones we sell on our website! Not all essential oils will work in soaps!
      Before deciding on using an essential oil over a fragrance oil, we recommend reading this article: www.brambleberry.com/articles/ingredient-information/art0017-essential-oils-vs-fragrance-oils.html
      You can find our essential oils here: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/ingredients/essential-oils

    At what temperature we should add clay or activated charcoal? And at what temperature essential oil or fragrance oil?

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Місяць тому

      The ideal temperature for adding the clay, charcoal and fragrances is between 120-130° F.

      It should look good just not as creamy. If you have a touch of titanium dioxide that would work well too.

    Hi Anne Marie.
    Im curious to know about melt and pour soap base. Do they sweat alot? Because apparently the soaps dont turn out that well. So ive been told.
    Im new to this and I'm just learning. Any advice before i start.

    • @Whichofthefavors
      @Whichofthefavors 4 роки тому +1

      Yes melt and Pour do tend to sweat. Its not your fault, its just the way melt and pour soap base is as it contains Glycerin. When you take the soap out of the mold, let the soap sit on a Paper towel with a fan blowing on it for a couple of days and it will help with sweating. Then wrap the soap in a firm plastic wrap to ensure the soap is not exposed anywhere. And keep in a cool place thereafter. Also ensure you purchase a low sweat or no sweat base if you live in a humid climate. Hope that helps.

    Is adding coconut milk in any soap after the lye solution has been added ? I have seen another lady just adding it in a lot of hers.

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  3 роки тому

      You can add milk to your solution after blending your lye and oils, but it won't be as creamy compared to adding milk before.
      We have a great article and video on adding milk to your soap here: www.brambleberry.com/articles/how-to/art0073-how-to-add-lye-to-milk.html

      I am slightly allergic to pollen, but not to bee stings. However Honey when ingested makes me very ill so I'm not horribly tempted to try it externally either

      switch the bases, instead of white I would use goat milk or shea. Substitute aloe for the honey melt and pour

    I love the swirls and the color harmoney really. do grace us with more such Melt and pour videos. Really curious how it will turn out in a larger mold like a 42 oz rectangular mold. Any tip on that?

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  4 роки тому +1

      You can create a similar look in a loaf or large rectangle mold, but we recommend pouring 3-4 layers of swirls to get the best effect. You may find this tutorial helpful!

    i tried this but the back of the soap in the mold dries up a bit rough to the touch not soft and smooth as the face of the soap being the one with the face to the silicone. I thought it was spraying alcohol so I sprayed less and still :( any advice?

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Рік тому

      Spraying isopropyl alcohol helps melt and pour layers stick together, spraying the mold with alcohol may be what's helping the soap stick to the mold. If the face of the soap is still rough after it's unmolded, we like to use a soap shaver to smooth it out

      Jazmin Spry lmfao. It’s a bramble berry video on their page by the owner of the company. Why wouldn’t she “push” it and why wouldn’t all the products be from them? Why would they need to tell people that everything is from them or leave links?
      This has got to be the dumbest comment.
