Love the operating system and the low mass/low profile slide. The machining & overall look is AMAZING! The trigger travel & reset appear to be where the gun needs a little help so that it can benefit more from the overall design. Even with that being said, if I find a used one for a reasonable price in my local gun shop I'll buy it.
I put a DPM Systems recoil setup in my Standard and Speed. It made them even smoother. Try some S&B 115gr. that's my two favorite snack. But I honestly can't tell much difference between the two.
I know that as these videos are primarily from the heart and as such you're self funded I want to recommend a cardioid mic. It's not a brand but a type of mic. Its highly sensitive to sound coming from one direction and is insensitive to all other sounds. I think you'll thank me for this advice! Sal
It’s been forever & can’t remember all the features but something about the look of this gun reminded me a little of the alien.I think.?.5-6k pistols from a while back.
Update. I bought the original and the trigger is awful. The curve disturbs my finger and it's uncomfortable. The plain front sight isn't great. I upgraded the front sight by cutting out the paint tube, cutting downward for a slot and putting in a fiber optic tube. Success. I also bought the new speed trigger which is available. I now have everything I need. It's also a very, very accurate pistol. The full guide rails are the key. I can't wait to finally start pouring thousands of rounds through the pistol.
Was the entire front sight walking in the dovetail or was the fiber tube creeping out? The screws in the rear sight creeping out, is that a trait of LPA sights?
Don't you just hate it when a high-end gun doesn't come with the sights zeroed? Had a Beretta 92X and the front sight was visibly off from the factory.
@@GBGuns - I remember, I saw that. I’m personally a fan of the “Idea” of its design to the point that I’m tempted to make the jump to purchase since the only semi-auto handgun I own is a p229 and we all know you can’t just own 1 semiautomatic 😆 But I keep wanting to manifest it in a copy that takes glock mags to keep costs down… like if my baby mama finds me struggling with another mag collection between my 229 then my scorpion then my ar then my mac 10/45 then my lage upper that only takes fancy 9mm mags then my 300 bo… she’s gonna kill me. Like if I make the plunge I gotta know which one to do 😣🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@royk164 there are a couple models that we haven't reviewed, but there are also models we have reviewed which are no longer on the US market so it may equal out for civilian products
@GBGuns I am a fan of your videos and the way you do it. But to me, I think it is a little off, both the pistol and the editing of the video. Best regards.
The accuracy looks sloppy. What is up with that sharp protruding ridge between the back grip and slide. It seems it would dig into the area between your thumb and index finger. 😮
It's not sharp, and hardly noticable while shooting. I believe it's there to cover internal parts since they made such a high and deep cut to the tang.

I like the gun - it's very different.

Thank you for the review. With the low slide profile, it looks like they are following the design from CZ.
Except this is actually low, nit just a visual trick by riding slid in from like CZ

Thanks for the video
The top guns in the world are built in Brescia (Italy) see Firearms Arsenal, Tanfoglio, Beretta, etc etc……
it groups well , with some adjustment it would be dead on .. trigger could be better , but I like it ! enjoyed .. lost footage happens to me to ..
Interesting little pistol. I like it.
Isn't a little pistol, trust me , i have it :). Its a big gun.
The fact the screws were coming out and the front fiber optic you mentioned makes me wonder a bit
The loose screw was in the rear sight, the fiber optic tube is what came loose in front.
@@GBGuns I'm gonna wait for your longer look at it before I grab the "basic" model
GB! I just got my first non-glock. It's a CZ P-01.
Congrats on branching out. I bet the P-01 is quite a different experience from Glock.

It was just the tube creeping out.

I dont much care for looks of the "speed one", I would pay more to have [no lettering] on mu guns. How does the web of your hand feel after shooting?
Can’t stand billboards & especially dislike “warning read manual “ect. Ridiculous!
I wonder how this compares to the Archon Type B.

Which one did you enjoy more, this or the archon type b?
That's a tough call. We did a comparison video of the regular strike one and Archon a while back.

@humorlessclown I'd say the Archon if you're looking for a carry option, a Strike One for a range/competition gun.
@@GBGuns - I appreciate that, thanks man 😁
Noice!
What? Not a Grand Power ?
Only 25 of the roughly 400 guns reviewed on this channel are Grand Powers. That's about 6%
@@GBGuns isnt that about their whole inventory ? lol ( great job )

That thing looks like it wants to be shot fast 👍🇺🇸
Dude! Is your thumb broken?
Lol, no, but the last joint is backwards. Good eye!
Mechanical zero is different from zeroing the gun to a persons eye sight.
Correct
Seems you wanted to like it more than you actually did. I've seen you shoot better with a lesser gun.

Am i really the only person to comment on this video?! I had to search so hard to find this video btw
That's because this video isn't public yet. Its' been share with our Patrons, and is in the article, but not published publicly for general UA-cam.
Sounds like possible Junk.
