The thing the mainstream media coverage seems to miss is that, as well as being a race, the TT is about people racing the course and themselves. You could be last on the timesheets and still "win" by beating every goal you set. Perhaps you have to have been a competitor to truly understand that, and it's what makes these videos so entertaining.
Yeah that's a good point. The TT coverage was brilliant and I thought Mark Miller did a great job of talking up the other half of the grid whenever they were on camera, he mentioned Dave a few times for example, but they should go round and interview more of the privateer riders as well rather than just the guys challenging for the top places. Getting a personal best time for most is just as big as a race win is to the top guys.
Great insight into the highs and lows of the tt. Vastly more highs than lows due to the character of all taking part and watching. You teach a troubled world a valuable lesson. Thank you!
It’s been a great TT series of vids to follow & watch. Thankfully more highs than lows. Whilst I enjoy watching the coverage of the top riders & teams, seeing the event, the drama & the highs & lows from smaller teams really puts the meat on the bones of the TT. It really is a special event.
Great work again Dave about what goes on behind the scenes at the TT. Not forgetting the lovely people in and around obsession Engineering. As I always say. Keep doing it. I’ll keep Watching.
Absolutely fantastic vlog as usual Dave. Thanks for all the insight, good and unfortunately bad. What a crew you have there, can't fault the lot of you. Looking forward to the next vlog already 👍👌
Must have felt very strange on the grid. What a great job Martin did on his first TT as well, some really good results. Hopefully he'll be flying the Obsession colours at next years TT as well. Nice to see the fastest man in Mexico again too!
Thank you Dave and team. That was a brilliant warts'n'all series. Really got a feel for this special event. Now then, have you got that Dullville dialed in? I'm expecting a fork cartridge kit and some fully adjustable K-Tech loveliness at the rear. No? 🤔😂
Good to see 'our' Rennie Scaysbrook racing at the TT. I remember following his dad in 350 GP bikes (and other machinery) in Australia back in the seventies and eighties...
Well done Dave and all envolved. Looking forward to seeing what your up to. Good luck with Franco and hopeful see you on some Irish road races if they survive in the future.😊
Nice video. I can feel for you trying to keep your retirement of racing the TT. The first time I retired from 250GP bike racing, the next season I had a friend who raced 600 production talk me into helping him a our Nationals. I was ok until I watched the 250GP race and saw the guy I new I could beat racing in the top 10. I was back the next month with a newish Honda. The second and final time was in the early 1990's when I was offered a Honda 500 it was year old and the price (I didn't know at the time was fantastic) was way more than I ever spent on a bike. It was the start of a major rescission in the economy and sponsors were drying up, I even looked a getting a bank loan but at the time my bank didn't loan that kind of money for race bikes. I took it as a sign to call it a day so I retired and purchased a house. Just to make certain I stopped going to the track since I new then motorcycle racing was very similar to being a drug addict. It took 5 years before I could even watch racing with out getting the itch. So good luck with you retirement ;-)
Im still laughing over Forrests "piss excellence" line..def a talladega nights fan LOL As someone whos spend 45 years pushing cars into the grid and going over pitwall, for me anyway, its where life begins.
oh yesterday (june the 17th '23) , i watch till the end a youtube video at Motorradmeisterei Lange he let know how tall a gap-build can be (oschersleben 🇩🇪 he rode) V4R and s1000rr rider behind ft away 🤧 43k for a 🇮🇹 beauty is this really for need ? i relaxed by watching R1 44teeth project ~20k price limit !
Highs and lows. Moving. And in the end, like the race itself - too moving, too emotional. Some races are too much like Russian roulette. The TT is one of those races.

@@mattmid7012 I agree more coverage is needed on lower order riders, but Mark Miller should not be back, terrible commentator
You would be a fool not to want you lot on your side. Well done Dave and everyone in the team. Now go and get a Superstock championship with franco 👍

Cracking roundup video Dave. Big 👍 to Team Obsession Racing. Oh and Martin well done on your first TT races. Fast and Safe. 💥
It's great to see you smiling again. 🙂. Congratulations to you and all the team.
Fantastic videos Dave, looks like you can still enjoy it and play a big part even if not riding yourself.
Quality vid, I was listening to the senior and your name was mentioned by the commentators a few times plus a mention of a hammer 😂😂😂
Great video guys and glad you had a safe TT.

Even when the results dont come your way all the time, its great to have a team that gels and makes it all worth while.
