- Come with me as I explore Bodega Bay-- where the infamous The Birds was filmed. Here we uncover film locations, tales from the set, behind the scenes imagination, and various tales from the Hitchcock world. About halfway through we connect the Master of Suspense (Hitchcock) to the Master of Magic (Walt Disney).

I feel like our little crow was Rod Taylor watching over us as we made the video.
I liked being able to tour the city with you! More like this please!
Thanks for the feedback! I loved taking the camera around Bodega Bay. I do have a few episodes in this style I recently shot in Chicago. Coming soon!
This is a really great dive into the history of The Birds. Fantastic launch done.
Many thanks! I worked on this episode for about 2 months and tried to include stories which weren't usually covered in popular books/media on Hitchcock. I have upcoming, on location, episodes about his film Vertigo and his private estate in the Santa Cruz Mountains
@@hiddenhollywood5562 I look forward to watching more of your stuff.
FANTASTIC documentary on 'The Birds', I've watched the movie countless times and never heard any of this information. Hitchcock was a genius, his movies are the best, but poor Tippi was certainly brave. She does love animals, still runs The Shambala Preserve for big cats so she must have a heart of gold! Thank you again for this, I really enjoyed it!! BTW Daphne DuMaurier didn't give a reason for The Birds attacking in her short story. Looking forward to more on Hitchcock, but will you be doing a piece on 'Mildred Pierce'?
Hi! Thanks for always staying tuned, it warms my heart. I worked on this particular episode carefully---That's why particular information and stories not always told about the Birds was included. I don't want to churn out content that is a repeat of other work out there.
I would die to interview or meet Tippi, she's still in the LA area. Hitchcock's daughter, Patricia, lives in Solvang, CA as well and is in her 90s.
I hadn't read DuMaurier's story, but thanks for that catch. I can't attribute that solely to Hitch then.
Nothing slated on Mildred Pierce yet! I actually haven't seen it, but heard about it many times. I know Joan Crawford leads and I'm interested in studying Joan Crawford outside of just the oh so famous Mommie Dearest storyline about her. Check out the Valley of the Dolls podcast on Spotify or apple podcasts. I believe they just did an episode on Joan and maybe Mildred Pierce was included.
Loved this 🥰 Great background!
Really enjoyed this! Liked going to the scene and hearing about the background. Didn't realize the unique things in this film that were so cutting edge. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and passion.
Thanks! I'm glad it was enjoyable, even for those who aren't die hard Hitchcock fans. I have upcoming videos which I shot on location in Chicago, stay tuned!
🤩you’re pretttttyyyyyy
Oh my 💖
I really like this channel. Deserve millions of views. Don’t quit. I know good when I see it.
It's a misconception that the explosion was filmed there (11:00). I stayed at the Inn at the Tides and asked the person at the check-in desk if that was the case. I was told it was filmed northwest across the bay at a location called Mason's Marina. The studio created the gas station then lit the place up. The phone booth was filmed across the street nearby where the gasoline trail is seen, so I understand the confusion. Great video on a classic film! #hitchcockwouldbeproud
Yes, please make one about Hitchcock's Blondes! And...you're doing a great job!
Brava!
Hitchcock and the blondes would be a great topic
Very true! Each leading lady has a vast number of stories I could cover--- been looking into Kim Novak and Tippi Hedren a lot lately.
I thought that crow gonna attack you😹 just watched the film, great film..your video also great 👍
Very cool.
Glad you like! Many UA-cam videos out there just show people in Bodega Bay and is captured on their iPhone. I hope this showed Bodega Bay/Hitchcock's work in a comparably gorgeous light.
Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you! I get chills whenever I get comments from people I don't know who truly enjoy these videos!
Very interesting and compelling content . I do believe Mr Hitchcock would have liked this velvety work and your engaging presenting . Thank you and please keep them coming .
That's an incredible compliment, thank you! I truly believe Mr. Hitchcock and I would have gotten along well. I just "get him", if that makes sense. I also did just release an episode where I tour his private mansion in the Santa Cruz Mountains. That episode is the latest on the channel page. I'd love to dive into more of his world, but will save that for future dates as I want to mix up content topics for viewers.
Hope one day it will happen
@4:21: CGI?? Are you kidding? in 1962?
