I would say the real issue beside power creep is how they shift content to accommodate it and literally ditching it next update in the most chaotic way possible
pretty much most of the limited 5 stars. Hoyoverse optimize the MOC for the featured hero for that banner, and become seemingly irrelevant a few patches later on.
Yep, like skill point usage was meta for like 2 patches with inhibitor lunea, then dot was meta for 2 patches, and now its all about break and follow up. And according to leaks we will get a new meta changing mechanic in 3.0
Luocha has the highest healing amount, huohuo provides the most offensive sustain, fu xuan reduces the dmg the most and aventurin negates dmg the most, they all have widely different unique mechanics and benifits
@@FinalslashesFu has a huge crit rate buff so I'd say she and Huo Huo both bring good support to the table, Aventurine might be the most well rounded at S1 with his debuffs as well as personal damage tho. Then again he can't heal whatsoever while even Fu Xuan can at least pull people back from the danger zone a little at a time. Luocha might be the only one who feels less balanced to me now but AoE cleanse isn't really in demand for endgame these days, but that may change as well
@@Finalslashesall of them have their uses. If they release self buff enemies, Loucha AoE cleanse would shine like those revive/life-steal. Aven would be useless if there are shield-ignore enemies like GI wolf. Fx/healer kinda bad against that max-HP reduction except HouHou.
@@djjain4280 if he's built slow which he often is, large single target attacks can knock down half the shield and then half the char HP. Then you need to use a skill point on his next turn, and you'll never get that HP back. If the same char gets targeted again this can be a pain. This is rarely an issue, if it happens in MoC you can just reset for better RNG, but it does factor into his play style especially in endurance modes like Gold and Gears where outside healing may or may not exist from RNG blessings. It's less an outright negative and more an obvious balance choice
Looking back, topaz came in the 1.4 update, and its still pretty relevant compared to jingliu who came in the same patch, the debuff that topaz provides, plus her s1 or e1 really makes her a better debuffer than most nihility's when it comes to fua teams, sorry for my bad english xd
@@tommyhickin4669 probably because the meta is about to shift and fua can become irrelevant pretty son, which is sad, i really love topaz and aventurine but the day that they become powercreep by newer units will come, sooner or later :c
Hunts and Erudition units are aging like fine wine. Especially since they've increased the difficulty of PF and added AS. People underestimate how godly Jade enhances Erudition units in PF. And since Aventurine and Robin, Hunt units are clearing the hardest content in 1min. Truly impressive. Topaz and Dr Ratio gained so much value since their initial release.
Sustain powecreep is difficult to pull off from a game design perspective, because having more healing is going to be overkill but trying to raise enemy DMG to justify it will retroactively make older characters extremely squishy because their HP is designed around an older meta state. It may even raise backlash because some people may see it as pressure to pull newer characters with higher survivability. What HSR seems to be doing is just like what they did for Harmony where they make sustains have niche supports. Just like Robin and Ruan Mei cater to Follow Up and Break, so too do Aventurine and Gallagher cater to the same. We're still missing a DoT/Debuffer healer because a certain character was only healer in self-proclaimed manner but not gameplay manner.
Game can just introduce characters that will benefit off overheals. Like how the current SU overheals on the abundance path. If what leaks are true, we will see this.
Huo Huo is pretty close to a dedicated DoT support, providing ATK and energy (and even speed at E1, I was tempted on rerun), but she does stay universal compared to like a break sustain. Maybe someday we'll see an abundance unit with an "offerings of deception" style passive, if not a nihility unit with healing (it looked for a moment like that path would do anything but now not so sure)
The powercreep in this game is like one of things the community seems really like to brush off. Oh I still can clear easy, oh I still clear with auto then you look at their char and all of them are the meta one. Like no shit you clear ez with e2s1 firefly. HP keep increasing to the point old characters cant catch up fast enough without higher investment. The problem with invesment in f2p wise you gonna hit a ceiling where you can only break with sign lc or eidolon which is very expensive Meta goes so fast, 1.x dps can barely compete unless your 1.x have high investment. One of the biggest cause of this is the release of 2 char every patch. This problem could really be fix if they just stop releasing 2 5star every patch for now. Then some people will try to brush off again like oh look at yt, theres 4star onlu clear. But if you look at those videos, all of their characters are really high af invested like one of the sushang used has 90 cr 160cd. I cant compete with that. Hanya has frickin 174 spd. Yes the characters they use is relatable but those stats arent. Especially with the disastrous relic farming system that make me want to shot myself everytime I finish cavern of corrosion.
Right, like I've seen people who says that they can still clear with their DHIL and Seele or any old dps as their discussion point proving that old characters are still viable, and turns out they always have E2 or E1S1 supports. Like, how can you not think? 😂 It's just as expensive as spending and building for new characters and teams, I would say even more expensive.
174 hanya is pretty easy tbh, she is one of the fastest chars baseline. mine can be built with 197 without even taking her E2 into consideration (with it, it goes up to 220) also vertical investment should be done towards supports, not dps, cause you can utilize them in other teams with other chars you like, even 1.0 ones. i'm still using seele since 1.0 and clearing with very comfy cycles with a sustain. my most used team with her is e1s1 seele (i got lucky at release), e0s1 hanabi, e1s0 fuxuan, e0s0 robin. Even against hoolay on private servers, i managed to get a 3 cycle clear (which can be optimized with better rng) with the same team, which is still below 5 cycles which is the "worst" clear for a team and still have enough cycles for the other team.. and i'm nowhere near thinking of replacing her. their e2s1 firefly will be complete garbage the moment a better superbreak driver comes up. (she is already the most replaceable unit in super break/break teams) 90/160 is easily doable if you commit to upgrade your chars as well. just stop leveling chars and grind. prioritize stats over set. i can build many chars with similar ratio than that without a crit lightcone. my acheron is at 95/255. my seele 101/225. my dhil 92(i think)/180 they have their lc's but just subtract the amount of cr/cd from the stats and you will still see a reasonable build. my himeko runs at 82/150 with her lc, herta 95/150 with 4 star moc lc.
i agree with everyone but tingyun, tingyun didnt really fall off, shes just mostly limited to teams that need her energy replenish really much like argenti or yunli teams or robin teams aswell
I would say Robin too. Strong buffs, is BiS in most teams (except break), and 100% AV for the entire team is invaluable, and will scale with the strength of future units
not really BiS, more like the better choice cause of the AV, she is for sure BiS in the fua comp, no one beats her there, the criteria to be BiS is the characters can fully utilize her kit, I mean all of it, no other comps benefit on her other traces than FUA, but she is still the btter choice tho
I would say that Kafka actually is the one restricting the damage/power of dot units. She makes the dot team only viable with her. Kafka being introduced so early in the game makes the developer balanced the upcoming dot characters to not make it too op because of kafka. Imagine if Kafka wasn't introduced before Black Swan. As we all know right now Black Swan can only surpass/par on the damage of the characters that is introduced much early than her if you have Kafka on her team. Now if we didn't have Kafka right now the Dot units like Black Swan would have to do more damage by himself over the characters before her to really sell up their banner right. And then introducing Kafka later to Powercreept a meta as they always would want it to.
That's the Kafka conundrum, every DoT needs her on the team because she ,almost literally, double the DoT effects by her triggering them. The flip side of that is that she isn't really a DoT enabler so she relies on them but none of the DoT enablers are required technically, you can swap out the only premium DoT enabler for Sampo/Guinafen and to some extent Jiaoqiu. Kafka will always be slotted in as long as long as you have DoT on the enemies
Well-put. Another way of looking at this is that team comps work/are meta because their enablers are good. I sort of wish they would experiment with crazier light cone effects outside of stats/conditional stats, which could allow characters to cross the threshold or combat power creep for specific styles.
The fact that she's a unit with a multiplicative value instead of additive is kinda insane for an early character. She's the x2 in a DoT comp. What most players don't acknowledge is that as long as the next DoT does not detonate DoTs, they will likely powercreep Black Swan first. For example, if Black Swan's theoretical power value is 9 and the next DoT character powercreeping her is 10, BS + the next character is only 19, compared to 10 x 2 (Kafka) = 20.
That's fair, I suppose they'll start making DoT characters with their debuffs only being triggered naturally if they want them to plant nukes, like maybe an imaginary DoT control focused character.
I use E6 Sampo with Swan since he can detonate his own wind shears (and Swan's arcana of course). It's pretty filthy. This is what his e4 does. Similar to Luka's enhanced basic attack (if they have bleed + arcana on them) or gui's ult (burn + arcana) So kafka isn't the only one she just has the least ramp up time
@@regail7143 same but at that time I doesn't have Ruan mei. Which I though is gonna be 2-3 cycle more but it's actually not that far (usually 1 cycle more with Pela average 3-4 cycle clear) without Ruan mei.
@regail7143 Agree, I even got an "accidental" E2 trying to chase that E6 for Guinaifen (I thought I needed more DoT units for stacking Arcana faster, and now I don't even use her in DoT teams, but as a budget breaker instead of Firefly). That one makes her pretty fun in PF - stuff just randomly explodes.
I think Aventurine is almost the most universal character I have ever used. He's skill point friendly since his talent is triggered not only from follow up attacks but also getting hit. So aoe attacks trigger it multiple times. So, he gets slotted into follow up teams and Skill point heavy teams. And when he uses a follow up attack, he debuffs the enemy with increase damage up to 16%. Both side of this can be triggered with one of his talents. So now he can also be slotted into the Acheron team. His ult is also a debuff so another thing for Acheron. Then is E1 is another buff of crit damage plus you now have an on-hand shield whenever you need that can potentially trigger his follow up to give you another shield. Oh, and the shields stack. His e2 is another debuff so even more for Acheron. So, at e2s1 A 20% crit damage buff from E1 A debuff of increased damage by 10% from light cone Ult give a debuff of 15% crit damage from ult Basic attack gives a debuff of all type res of 12% from E2 Plus, a stacking shield from talent and ult. So, he should be the top of lasting characters if fu xuan is there. There is really only two teams i wouldn't put him in. That's break and DOT Edit: Thanks to the comment of @niigolover i re-looked at the light cone and realized that the crit damage was not party wide.
Honestly agree, I genuinely dont know how Huohuo is considered more universal/useful when shes sp neutral to keep up her healing and is just miserable to use. As someone with both Aventurine and Huohuo, theres almost never a situation I'd use Huohuo over him in any of the endgame modes, and most times my other team would use Gallagher instead even if it wasnt a break team
@@Bravo6The difference being that aventurine THRIVES off of increased HP on bosses, he can just proc his fua, give everyone a shield, and chuck some damage/toughness reduction while he’s at it. I have e0s1 and i use him with my e1s1 rm, and he actually does 135k with his ult + death is a social construct. He’s made for the hard mode of this game.
sorry for the wall of text people say support and sustain are the least likely to be powercrept, but could it be that it's because dps gets released wayyyy more often? yeah no wonder a 1.0 5* dps is worse than 2.3 5* dps (in terms of ease of use, skill floor, numbers, whatever) when there's been almost a dozen other dps between them like people say aven powercrept fuxuan. regardless of that argument's validity, imagine if they had released 4 other limited preservation by now, it'd be even more likely that fuxuan wouldve been even worse off (not saying she's bad, but relatively speaking). the 3 limited harmony, 2 of them have some form of advance forward, a mechanic exclusive to bronya for 7 patches. they released only one limited harmony that didnt have it (ruan mei) before going "fuck it, advfor is broken, give variations of it to the next 2". imagine if they had released 2 more harmony by now, how "bad" would bronya/ruan mei be by now (again, not saying theyre bad, just relative to newer units)
not really, support and sustain are least likely to be powercrept because they can fit in different teams of different archetype and as long as they are doing their job then it's fine. for example, aventurine powercreeps gepard by hundreds of miles but does it matter? you can always use gepard if you don't have aventurine, gepard will always do his job despite having lower numbers in comparison.
I like your takes are so independent and well reasoned, a lot of the other content creators are just following and supporting each others talking points without any factual basis
One of the few gacha content creators who makes videos I don’t skip through impatiently and my guy does these in like 1 take every time. Absolutely goated
im kinda scared about Acheron's situation...like,2-3 patches after feixiao's release i really feel like her dmg would be significantly lower as they introduce new mechanics and enemies... for people who aren't pulling for jiaoqiu, she'll be performing significantly worse, and by the time his rerun comes, she'd probably be even irrelevant, unfortunately.. honestly the game is getting kinda expensive too in a way.soon you'd need 3 limited characters in that team or the main dps would be performing real bad,and hence they'll release those support reruns one by one lol
Well yeah maybe for E0S0 to S1 . Those who have E2S1 will stand longer . My 2nd account have E2S1 DanHeng + Harmony MC E6S1 + Ruan Mei S1E1 + Sparkle E0S1 / Aventurine E1S1 / S0 ( if I put Gepard LC ) can clear endgame with high score in Apo & zero cycle in MoC
You can already tell by the break team. The end game is shifting to break and follow up atk now. Acheron’s still strong but no longer satisfying to play in end game content.
E1 fu xuan is pretty nice, adding 30% CD, although it isn't that nescesary it's great. Only thing i wish for FX is that her heals were slightly higher.
The game incentivize and reward players who play certain gamestyle for a certain end game content. Hence, I think it's better to pull and invest to various gamestyle specifically FUA, Super Break, DOT and somewhat of a Hypercarry (one at a time). This of course is very hard and expensive in practice. But it benefits characters that had hybrid playstyles ex. Himeko (FUA, SB, in addition being great for PF). Fortunately, the game is generous by giving free and great units. My account is only 5months old but I have decent FUA, SB and Hypercarry team. Right now I'm building Hunt March 7th and Xueyi. If the leaks are true about the new banner system, I'm contemplating whether to pull Robin or Kafka. Pulling Robin will free Ruan Mei on my FUA team and it's not great for DOT team without Kafka....... And I don't know when these two will have another rerun.
The powercreep is there but based on my observation, it only hits hard on those who used to clear withing 0-2 cycles on MOC, or fast clear on PF. Im still clearing all the other game modes just fine, sometimes lack on 1 star on MOC 12 but thats that just by using the traditional F2P teams or budget team. I'm at the point of not worrying so much about the meta shifts or powercreep cus i'll pull important character on every damage department whether its FUA, DOT, Hypercarry, Break teams. But most importantly i will prioritize more on HARMONY units, for defensive units i'll just have them about 2 of the limited ones and the other 4 star ones, if i cant, i will just wait for em reruns. My fav team consist of Break & Followups unit due to how easy to get em (Mostly are free) Gallagher + HMC + Boothill/Firefly + Ruan Mei Dr Ratio + Topaz + Aventurine + Sparkle
Same. I found that my team leads me more on FUA and Super Break. And these styles are super fun to play with. Currently building Hunt March 7th and Xueyi😊
HSR powercreep is cyclic. Not linear. It switch back and forth between the different playstyle. 1.0-1.4 : Destruction meta for DPS. Shielders for supports. 1.4-16 : FuA AoE, DoT for DPS. Healers for support. 1.6-2.4 : Break DPS, shielders 2 4- : FuA single target, healers The current event with trashcan is actually foreshadowikg the next planet meta : HP draining meta
my jaw dropped opening this video and seeing you there, i was so hype putting the face to the man saving my life in these games, thank you for your content as always
@evelila7881 What are you even saying?😭 Robin can easily clear any content faster than ruan mei in any team outside of break because of the action value advance so in what world is ruan mei "always better" than robin outside of break when robin clears faster than her in any content?
your ideas are so easy to grasp and understand. thank you! Luocha has been my go to SP generator for so long. i mostly just swap between him and FX as sustain i don't have RM, JQ, and huohuo, but I'm pretty happy with my account thus far
One thing I really like EOD is he never trash talks Luocha 😆. Yes, he has the least offensive utility among the sustainers. But his +1 SP will always be useful. And whenever you face HP-drain bosses (like SAM and the Disciple lady) he will be your best pick.
Also his buff removal is so helpful. It’s really great when they place Mara-struck enemies in the endgame content (or when you went to get rid of Argenti’s buffs)
@@liwzzie8098Fu xuan can work perfectly whitouth his lc but yeah these days fu xuan it's not that good it's awesome still but aventurine it's better and huohuo its a great support
I think Sparkle will always be unique with what she does. Other units can buff/detonate dots like Kafka such as 4* variants for their specific typing (Luka) and more premium options will def come down the line. I think this is the case for Ruan Mei as well. Weakness Break Efficiency is a buff that can be manipulated through different buffs/conditions (though she is currently the only one who offers it teamwide iirc) and while unique atm can be easily made up by future releases or game conditions that neuter wb eff. On the other hand, skill point manipulation is something that is integral gameplay irrespective of weakness typing etc. Ruan Mei's skill requires a sp, all noteworthy skills do, and if the game decides to punish for usage of SP then Sparkle could still provide a surplus and enable her lc buff and wait for the condition to end whereas if weakness break eff is neutered then Ruan Mei is useless outside of the speed buff and slight dmg boost. I have my doubts of them releasing another unit like Sparkle, maybe another one that is significantly SP positive but I sincerely doubt they will release a unit that can increase the size of your SP pool again. I could be wrong though since they are first and foremost incentivized by monetary gains.
@@harry6699 you're right but if you're pulling eidolons, I don't know how concerned you should be in future investment. RM will always be a staple and what she does will always be relevant in some way. I just don't think we'll ever see another unit that just increases how much SP you can hold by just existing.
Kafka's kit is also made to take advantage of new DoT units being released so she'll always be relevant. I think this is deliberate so that she can always be useful and a strong choice whenever she pops up again in the story. Based on that logic, nihility TB is going to be one of the BiS characters for DoT team.
there's also the fact that Kafka simply wouldn't be replaced even if we got a new character that was just a better Kafka because, simply put, Kafka would synergize with herself, which essentially makes her immune to powercreep every extra Kafka-like character you could put onto a team would be an extra DoT being applied *and* an extra round of DoT triggers. any kind of Kafka 2.0 would almost certainly have the original Kafka as their most important support. anyone that actually manages to powercreep Kafka is going to want Kafka on their team.
It's almost like this trashcan magician event is to practice for it. Like how "tales of the fantastic" in 1.2 was like a practice run for pure fiction (they're both even story themed), ever since then I've been on the lookout for "oh what could this event turn into permanently in the meta?"
This is a fantastic video. Really well explained about the state of the past, present and future with the game's meta and the value in the units. I sent it to my friend so he could understand the differences aren't too crazy when it comes to dps and that like most gachas the supports are always king!
Aside from what you mentioned, EOD, Tingyun's case is actually really funny. She ends up being Robin's best support, especially with the extra energy her Ultimate gives an ally at E6, so one of her niche (but powerful) cases (mainly for zero-cycling) is for turbocharging Robin, AND that 60% DMG boost to Robin's Ult DMG because of Tingyun's DMG buff in her Ult.
@@apleb7605 nah, he’s better than blade because his multipliers are fat, and he’s typical atk/crit dps so you can keep him alive by getting newer harmonies who usually provide atk/crit
24:00 - I love Huohuo too! The cleanse before the turn is really game changing. Other characters who can cleanse do it AFTER they skill, or cast Ultimate., but with HuoHuo, you can do it passively as long as you keep the talent up. I didn’t like Huohuo”s design because I don’t like the color green, but I’ve used her in ebery team, even Acheron team.
I find it amazing Robin is not in the most resistant to power creep category. Even outside follow-up she is one of the most powerful supports and often the most powerful support in the game. Only place she does not belong is in break. Otherwise she is one of the strongest options in any other team. I would certainly not consider Jiaoqiu anywhere near as good as Robin down the line outside Acheron teams. After playing with Fu Xuan a lot I have noticed that she has quite a number of weaknesses where I found her sustain power to be weak. Some enemies just strait up ignore her damage mitigation and do a percentage damage to hp bars or they just bypass her damage mitigation mechanic like the Ascended or Sam. To the point I found Gepard or Bailu superior in those instances. I literally could not beat Sam for a while and kept dying with Fu Xuan. Then all I did was switch to my underbuilt Gepard and easily cleared in one try with no other differences. Gepard was far superior in that specific fight. You will also notice Fu Xuan weakness in very long fights for people who do not have the top dps team available to them to make the fight as short as possible. Present Inebriated in Revelry elite enemy is also really painful to deal with. Among all elite enemies I think it has the highest damage output. Aventurine might have his own weaknesses down the line if he fights enemies that never physically attack you and just throw enemies like Present Inebriated in Revelry at you with high effect hit rate.
Exactly that with the FX situation. Last ApocShadow run I tried to run my mono quantum and I kept getting snared and frozen by cococ*nt. I refused to believe the FuXuan was the problem until I switched to my very well built E6 Lynx and she had no issue cleansing and sustaining. It was sad because I pulled for FuXuan to replace Lynx as my sustain in my mono quantum....
I love this content. Whenever I'm unsure of a character, I always check out your videos and they convinced me to pull for both Fu Xuan and Huohuo recently and your analysis have been spot on and I'm not regretting it at all! Thank you for all the effort you put into these videos and for how clearly you break things down. I look forward to your analysis on a certain fox general I hope we get soon. =P
As a collector, Aventurine has been the biggest improvement to my team. Easy shield generation for team and AOE follow up based on enemy attacks helped so much in allowing tons of survivability for heavy DPS, Counter units, and other supports.
saying that a unit is resistant to powercreep in honkai is like saying that a youtuber will never fall off. The game is so damn plain that powercreep will consume everyone no matter what you try to do. even ruan mei is gradually being taken over by robin, then they release a new support. Point being, stop worrying about trying to combat powercreep in this game. Flavour of the patch is the only "meta" there is. Instead of going against the current, the easiest way to play is to get a new dps every 2 patches when meta shifts since most of the time, content favors a new unit for around that long. Or just straight up forget about moc, pf and as. These modes do not test your skill, only relic quality and whether you have a unit to take advantage of the buffs. With rather copium relics and any characters (meaning you can pull literally who you want, not who you need in terms of meta) you can get to floor 11 consistently, which is 90% of the mode.
They are both semi uni characters with niches they aren’t competing with each other lol also I highly doubt theirs a day we’re kafka will get the boot out of a dot comp
@@Finalslashes hoyo would have to release a new unit that triggers all dot and then some, and even then i doubt kafka wouldn't benefit from that since you now have 2 units that frontload dots. xingqiu yelan moment

Fu xuan is nice but I’d rather have Aventurine who makes me take 0 damage and helps more against enemies who spam debuffs with just a little extra effect res built on everyone
Nothing makes you more resistant to powercreep than not caring about the FOMO and meta and just pull the character you want and invest in them vertically youll still be clearing everything just fine.leave the meta to the sweaty tryhards who find fun in suffering

that's the problem with powercreeping, it's not necessarily FOMO but as the game progresses there will be new content with new types of enemies and game mechanics which 'may' make your character struggle. regardless of how much vertical investment you make it doesn't guarantee the character's future where at some point in time it will have diminishing returns and may hit it's cap.
I’m never forgiving them for what they did to my Jingliu. I’m still clearing up to MOC 10 with her but man I wish they wouldn’t make older units so damn useless in newer metas. I get it it’s to sell newer units but they don’t need to make it so brutal. And my Jingliu is at 40% Crit rate and 220% CritDMG
@@devika2545 her traces are maxed I can clear floor ten against the deer Team Ruan Mei E6 Pela/Bronya HuoHuo Jingliu but she’s unfortunately not so good against enemies that have no ice weakness
Unfortunately, people are still sleeping on robin because they think she's inferior to mei despite robin being bis for almost every team, excluding break.
Preference in play-styles and comfort. Ruan Mei is easy to build, is SP positive and can use a 3* LC. I personally skipped Robin and I've been perfectly fine. I just don't like that you lose control of her when she's in her Burst mode. Robin is an amazing unit to have for sure, but the way Hoyo does their "powercreep" is by releasing content that directly counters the specific advantages that specific unit offers. For example, imagine the energy drain that those little TV guys throw at you currently. on a chunky elite enemy in a wave. Resistance to powercreep isn't about which unit is currently BiS in most teams atm. Its about what mental gymnastics Hoyo will go to and what they will throw at you to make the targeted unit not feel "optimal to play" vs the current end-game content. In a sense, it is easier to target Robins weaknesses than it is to target RuanMei weaknesses.
@@MiIkywayCookie Did you watch the video? For teams that have Robin as BIS, Ruan Mei is usually the second bes. But she is easier to use, does not rely on FUAs to keep up her ult, can generate SP, and is the BIS in break team (Robin is not even close here, unlike RM who is usually the second best to Robin). Robin is the BIS for a lot of teams, but RM is more universal for this reason
@@xxartemisxx1982 If we're gonna talk abt which ones is easier to use, shouldn't we have simple units like Luocha here? Imo should've added Robin as honorable mention atleast
The moment HSR added temporary HP as a over healing mechanic pretty much every 5* healer will be on par with 5* shielders The problem rn is DPS every patch enemies in MoC and AS are getting tankier and tankier even getting more toughness bar HP to the point that patch 1.x DPS can't even compete anymore. Topaz might be the sole 1.x 'DPS' that withstand the test of time but still it's because she plays more like a "nihility" support rather than a DPS It was only in 1.4 or 1.5 i believe where bosses have 1 million HP now bosses have almost 2.5 million HP. Any DPS that can't easily do over 100k DPS would be irrelevant soon. But hey at least you can now put old DPS sig LC on the new characters.
Literally everything you said about Ruan Mei applies to Robin, she can literally fit into all the team archetypes except breakup, you can really integrate her there if you want anyway, it's going to be worse than a Ruan Mei yes but it will still help you a lot, which also applies to Ruan, Mei works for all teams, but if you compare her with Robin in Fua or even in other teams that are not Fua, Robin is better or the same. In general, both are useful in everything, one shines more than the other in certain teams but in general they are equally good "having two ruan mein would be great" if you have robin and her, you already have what you're talking about And I know that people are going to come to defender Ruan Mei and I will just say, at what point am I leaving Ruan Mei in a bad light? I'm just saying that they both have a high value and that what he said about Ruan Mei can be applied exactly to Robin. I used a translator for this, sorry if it's a little strange. and to emphasize the point why some get angry, they are both equally good, I'm sorry if you can't accept that because of your fanaticism.
I agree with what u said I don't compare both to be honest if u asked me I notice that Ruan mei and robin is same good support for any team..it just they shine for on certain team like example Ruan mei is good for break team cause she buff break team.. As for robin she also good but she shine more on FUA(follow up attack) team Honesly I'm bit hesitate to pull for robin at the moment because I want male version of robin cause i prefer male characters.. So if u can gave me some tips..do I like robin? Kinda because she at the moment good for FUA team and I plan to build FUA team but you know how nasty hoyo can be..what if they released a male FUA harmony team,as f2p I be cooked. I skip fei since I'm not into her...and I might skip lingsha because I prefer Gallagher my husbando So...should I pull robin as f2P or not? Get her and her light cone? Or should I skip her? At the moment I only have 1 team..which is boothil,Ruan mei,MC harmony and Gallagher. Do u have like any leaks about future patchs? If they gonna release support characters for FUA team? Especially male one to replace robin,if not I will pull for her now and will not regret it later on. Or I should just skip robin. Oh yes I also plan to pull for a venture because once his banner out..
love the content, and the following opinion could be a bit biased (as I have both of these units, so I have a little bit of experience :), but I feel like units with colourless breaking, could be a valuable asset, with hunt in particular. This is because hunt is a significant path in the game, being one of the 3 main that intended DPS characters fall into, either hunt/destruction/or erudtion, other than occasional exceptions like Acheron, or DOT. With this in mind, I think feixiao, is a very strong unit with good longevity in this game's meta, who has her damage somewhat evenly distributed through out her kit, who deals very high damage overall, is a valuable DPS that will struggle to fall off. Like, the team archetype she wants, is very versatile, and accomodating, with lots of support, and the teams she wants to fit into, are more than competant on their own, so she is just a very strong bonus. Especially since considering a good team, she manages to deal her high damage quite frequently, through her ultimate. So once again, I think she is a pretty long-lasting DPS character to have, just like Acheron, since Nihilities will always be around, and while archetypes will fall off, HSR likely won't completely drop all support for one of the paths, although erudition hasn't been getting much love meta-wise, so there is always a chance. (PS, I was so relieved when you said Jiaoqiu could last me, since for him, I gave up my hard pity which I was saving for robin, and pulled my first ever limited lightcone)
3:53 , There WILL be new mode for sure. My take is the Turn Based RAID-Mode, where 1 team has MORE than 4 unit in a team, like maybe 10 units. There will be ALL type of enemies from Weekly bosses like apocalyptic shadow, MOC, and Pure fiction. IT WILL COME, it just matter of time. Also, my take in the ULTIMATE goal of Hoyoverse is they will create another game, where ALL characters from ALL their previous and future games combined in 1 Verse. Also, just matter of time till this become a reality.
as someone who skipped all break characters ive been strugging a lot in endgame content. if you don't have the latest new playstyle prototype characters, it will be hard to clear (for f2ps)
I always invest for sustains, debuffer, and buffers more than DPS because their kits can work in a long term. It is enable me to use many different team comps and can follow whatever meta in the future, we just need to rotate them. I got Luocha, Fu Xuan, and Aventurine, they are indeed my saviors and make my life easier. Hell, I even run double sustains LuoAven because they are my husbandos. And in this team, my Luocha usually become the GOAT. He is the tanker, the healer, the buff remover, and the AoE breaker. My Aventurine just standing there being pretty (because the enemies keep attacking my forking Luocha like he is Tingyun V.2 or something, breaking the shield to the point he must save himself) , doing ulti, and fua. For Jiaoqiu, I agree. He has so much potential. I tried to build him as a crit dps and the result was not that bad. Damn, he beat mobs and normal bosses (outside PF, MoC, DU, AS) faster than my Blade. Hell, even in Gold and Gears conundrum 8 with the right blessing, he was able to carry my team till the last stage and boss, only failed to Argenti in his second phase. Now, I am running DPS/sub DPS Jiaoqiu until I get Acheron in her rerun. I am still testing him, but for now, his team are him, Fu Xuan, Sparkle, and Ruan Mei/Tingyun.
fu xuan has fallen off man, its very hard to sustain against CC heavy enemies like kafka, and some straight up bypass her mitigation, like the dinosaur which does quantum dmg
I thought about this the other day and I was puzzled when he put fu xuan in first place. like yeah she's a pseudo abundance and harmony character but lately I notice that she either gets one shot from the abundance of AoE hard hitting attacks in the current meta, or my whole team gets whittled down in apocalpytic shadow until she's the only one left and keeps herself alive cuz she doesnt have to worry about healing others anymore. Also her most meta team that was mono quantum sucks now
@@Splinnee the ignore shields is cope, the burn lightcone isn't even optimal anymore since jiaoqiu is acheron's best support and he kills the necessity for the trend lc. the fua comps keep increasing and aventurine is the best sustain for them while being good in basically any comp, while fu xuan isn't even the best sustain for monoquantum anymore. hence aventurine and gallagher being the only sustains in the S+/T0 in all tierlists
I have a 9k hp fu xuan with f2p lightcone. She never dies in AS or anywhere. Just build hp. The only place where she dies is if you have the dmg distribution on all allies blessing in the SU
My top5 characters: 1. Robin 2. Ruan Mei 3. Aventurine 4. Fu Xuan 5. Some sneaky character from the 2.7 patch 🌝 (can't pick any character for the last slot in the current meta)
End game is my favorite part of this game. I normally struggle to complete it, but this time the power creep is really out of control. I can get 3 cycles on the first side of MOC, but I need to use Aventurine. If I don't have Aventurine on the second half, my team can't survive. No other sustain can keep up with the damage. So I use another sustain on side 1, but the best I can do is 5 cycles. And while I did that easily on my first try, now every time I try, someone dies (Svarog grabs the wrong person or the Fish guy hits the same target twice in a row, killing them). So now I need to try a lot of different teams on the second half to find one that can do 5 cycles, but I can't beat the first half anymore. I've now spent several hours on this MoC and I've never felt like I was having fun or making any progress. They need to dial it waaaaay back. I only just started Apoc Shadow and it feels a little more attainable. If the next PF update is as frustrating as MOC, I might just wait until the new broken power creep character comes out and if I lose my 50/50, uninstall the game.
Great video, one credit to Acheron not being power crept for me personally is her tech. We are all adults and life happens. The ability to be able to just not have to fight mobs while doing the story is such a massive qol. I just don't think how much being able to avoid fighting all the mobs in sim universe or human creation, the mobs in the main story or side quests, open world farming doesn't care if you dont have lightning your still getting one shot. Being able to save that much time for real world things such as family, school and work including just wanting to play other games. I personally would put her as close to unpowercreepable as you can without literally giving someone else her tech
I have Acheron and Firefly but I'll always use Jingliu as long as I can use her. If she needs more supports to deal more DMG, I'll pull that support. But as long as we get new characters, it's normal to use old characters less and new characters more
My top 5 that I don’t think will be replaced for some time will be 5. Huo huo 4. Sparkle 3. Aventurine 2. Robin 1. Ruin Mei, but an honourable mention is Acheron, just for the pure damage and ease of use/build now but she will always be great for overworld farming and fast sim uni.
Me watching this with my maxed out preservation march 7th, acting like i actually ever cared about meta and dont ignore pure fiction and moc every week
A huge benefit of Jiaoqiu against power creep is how frequently his debuff reapplies itself to maintain uptime. Enemies, especially bosses, are getting faster and faster and making it harder to keep permanent uptime on conventional debuffs like pela’s without giving her insane amounts of speed, since they take more turns and debuffs expire. Field style debuffs like Jiaoqiu’s seem much more resistant to speed based power creep I think. I know he has a 6 application limit but that’s a longer window to charge his ult again than anyone else has.
I did one ten pull on jiaoqiu and got him without pity. Didn’t know a lot about him so I’m so relieved that he’s in this video. That means that my pull wasn’t wasted 😅
I realized that as soon as i saw Fu XUan and her kit. i am genuinely trying to save up for her and her LC when she gets a rerun so she can be my sustain for a second team
9:32 i think bronya and tingyun deserves this spot than huohuo and kafka. as you mentioned huohuo is recent while kafka has zero competion in DoT section, blackswan just replaces sampo in kafka's team
Sparkle is a bad example considering she is doing worse than Bronya currently for the most optimized clears, unless she is whaled out. Many people cite usage rates but this is a bad metric because what the average player likes to use is not necessarily what is best. And Bronya/Ting being non limited means they are always going to have worse trending averages because there will be more people who have them and either don't use them or don't use them optimally.
The best units are the ones you currently have available. You're relatively new (2-4months old acc) and you struggle with content? Badly need Harmony/Sustain? If you don't have RM, Robin, Sparkle - get which ever reruns SOONER. If you don't have FX, Aventurine, HuoHuo or Luocha - get which ever reruns SOONER. "Ooho X p0w3rcr3p7 Y" are such bs comments meant to scare you. Once more, for the ones in the back of the classroom. If you seriously NEED the help of a Harmony character and you have neither Ruan Mei nor Robin - Get which ever reruns SOONER. Get your full star clears, get your Jades, pull more characters you like, have fun. You will be fine.
Damn, I really need Ruan Mei! I always see people raving about how great she is in videos and she's always included in teams. Gonna have to wait a long time since she just re-ran... yay
Ngl, this video is really good and valid. For me I always been saying Kafka is a good unit, not just cause she does great damage, and it also cause for dot, the team has a really good foundation of starting the game. They low-key gives you Sampo, luka, and guihifen(sorry, im bad with spelling her name😅) through story, event, and banners. I think follow-up is starting to get more popular because of the new dbs and a unit that is a 4-star follow-up character. My whole issue with follow is how expensive it is, but my run it more in this next update fr.
Also, if they make a "new Kafka" character, where they can also proc DoTs, you just use them with Kafka. (unless they specifically make them somehow incompatible)
I do think feixiao will actually be tough to power creep because she does the two things hunt characters struggle with: being able to ult without worrying about energy (seele, ratio, topaz) gain more damage with an energy boosting harmony character available. Feixiao ignores this and only cares about frequency of team attacks) and the 100% weakness break. This means she can even go into teams without follow up attackers or on any fua team in the future if she is power crept as a weakness break character support down the road.
fu xuan is a character who I wouldnt call relevant if you dont already have her. Sustains yields the least amount of dps boost for your teams but that is not the case for huo huo in dot, aven in fua and acheron, gala in ff hyper break. She could work in mono quantum but who play that team anyway considering how weak it is for a line up of 4 limited characters. Rn she isnt even as relevant as gala a four star sustain but isnt powercrept like Lol cha.
Get a couple sustains to last a while, a Ruan Mei/Robin and 1-2 new harmony/nihility supports each version, and like 1-2 DPS each version (or try to make your 1.x DPS work still). I think this game really wants you to invest horizontally rather than vertically: being able to put together a few different teams to match weakness/flavor of the patch style (FuA, DoT, Break, etc) will be better than one team trying to brute force everything, especially with the DPS. In general, you'll probably benefit more from getting more characters rather than any eidolons. Like I get people want to use certain characters forever or on everything...just understand the game really tries to discourage it on the endgame modes.
as a fu xuan fan, I'm happy you speak so positively of her. I hear a lot of people say aventurine is just better than her, but in reality, they are both good but just work in different ways. aside from his most obvious synergy with fua teams, he's also more sp positive, which I think should be emphasized more. some of the things I enjoy about fu xuan: 1) hp and crit rate buff to the rest of the team. the extra hp helps the others not die, on top of damage mitigation. I think the only time others still die first is with dot enemies, and funnily enough, boss aventurine (pre-nerf) 2) teamwide 1 time cc immunity per skill. most noticeable against the wraith warden enemy that inflicts reverberation and the auramoton that inflicts imprisonment! 3) great f2p option texture of memories, which synergizes amazingly with broken keel. 4) convenient technique, if I don't feel like fighting enemies then I activate hers and run (unless sparkle is on my team) 5) amazing ultimate animation!!! oh, and one last thing I'll admit that aventurine has over fu xuan: his head 😂
Srsly kafka is just so good in and ouside of dot teams. She’s like star rail’s nilou in terms of “proc-ing the damage that’s supposed tk delay and make huge numbers) I love her and invested on her early on at E2S1 and that’s it. She’s good in MOC, even with the annoying choir recently. It’s funny that i clear them using a team of kafka and Himeko cause Kafka also has built in Follow-up, every turn. So she’s great with robin (a lot of ult proc, more attack means higher Dot damage) She’s great in pure fiction (she has a talent that recovers 5 energy anytime an enemy with Shock died which is basically 25+ energy per 5 enemies wave (put her on the Break LC and Energy rope and she’s a spinning monster) And in the newer Apocalyptic she’s still good as long as there’s no Lightning resistance enemy. Yes. Im a kafka lover, and i advise you to get one to your account asap. And she’s fine with the 4 star lightcone but E2S1 is such an amazing stopping points, you’ll just consitently clear every contents w her w some to little effort. Worth mentioning that i pair her with E2S0 BlackSwan too. Black Swan E1 is massive enough alone; so her sig and E2 is not really needed (E2 again great for mobs content so basically PF viable). Yea Forget the doomposting, get your Jiaoqiu and Katka. Promise you the Summon/Ult meta is coming/already here. And jiaoqiu is here to stay.
My perspective is much different. For starters, I don't use sustains outside of like hard mode SU/DU content. I just find that it slows my teams down. The only exception to this is Gallagher who is able to contribute a lot of toughness bar damage. He provides a lot of energy via QPQ. He can do solid dmg in a super break team. He is the exception because sustaining isn't his main role when I make use of him even though he's a sustain. I value Harmony units way more. Robin and Ruan Mei are godly units who effectively facilitate not needing a sustain while vastly improving your offense. Ruan Mei lets you break enemies before they have a chance to hurt you. Robin lets you go multiple times before the enemy which lets you break/kill them before they can hurt you as well. They are units that provide so much offensive and turn advantage that it carries over into a strong defense. And, they are good in all end game modes and in pretty much every team just about. I value Robin more than Sparkle even in hypercarry. In a team like that, every unit has value in their turn, not just the dps, and she can be used to do all your damage before the enemy can hurt you too much as well. Her total buffs with her ult up is also insane. She has one of the strongest E1's in the game too, so a great choice for vertical investment. Ruan Mei's E1 is also solid, especially in defense shred stacking teams. Fore DPS, I think Firefly is incredibly good because she provides fire weakness and makes use of free/easy to get characters. Ruan Mei is nice for her, but Ruan Mei is someone who you want to get regardless. Gallagher is a 4 star so not that difficult to get. And, finally HMC is free. Asta can be a solid replacement for Gallagher as well if you don't happen to have him, and for speed strats, sometimes she is even better too. For AoE content, she pairs together with Himeko extremely well due to the fire weakness she provides. So, she is a really solid character who will likely always perform very well in regard to her floor. Other things of note is she has a solid F2P LC and her E1 and E2 are very great if you want to vertically invest. I think Kafka is fair for the fifth provided you care about DoT. Playing DoT without Kafka is annoying to consider. The compy is way more fun with her so you aren't completely bound by enemy turns for meaningful damage. Her E1 is actually very strong especially how old she is for DoT, as a 30% von debuff for DoT is naturally quite big for DoT team damage. Just, if you aren't interested in DoT she doesn't provide a lot of value naturally. I think Acheron is pretty solid too, and could probably go in this slot as well. The two actually work pretty well together for the DoTeron team too since Kafka's follow up can provide a lot of extra stacks for Acheron. Acheron's technique also is very handy for QoL. I do think Acheron's S1 is pretty important to pick up though.
acheron is such a weird unit imo new players will find it difficult to use her bc u need her s1, pela high eidolons, gui high eidolons or another 5 star (jq), potentially trend too (only this feels optional for her) yet she just gets gutted like any other dps (jingliu) if the resistance is not in their favour ofc im just a new player but i dont understand the hype behind her when she just feels like any other dps
And according to leaks we will get a new meta changing mechanic in 3.0
Like Apocalyptic shadow being insanely break team coded
the powercreep resistant move is to get early support eidolons, robin e1 sparkle e2 and ruan mei e1 then you dont care and deal 1 mil dmg with misha
Real
then new moc just has 1 mil hp trash and new supports make misha do 2 mil so you have to pull for those
i can agree for robin/mei E1 but sparkle benefit more from E2 acheron/IL. Even RM can be arguable if u have FF who stomp hard at E2
@@pandmonium2428but dps can be powercrept while supports tend to survive for a very long time, as long as the new character need their specific buffs

Luocha has the highest healing amount, huohuo provides the most offensive sustain, fu xuan reduces the dmg the most and aventurin negates dmg the most, they all have widely different unique mechanics and benifits
All balanced in theory but your forgetting two of these units have something the others don’t good buffing / damage
@@0v_x0 Aventurine not having heals in his kit is not a negative at all tho. U need to have serious skill issue to die with him in the team.

Hunts and Erudition units are aging like fine wine. Especially since they've increased the difficulty of PF and added AS.

@@ventrue7Yeah, a Gallagher E6 are just a tiny bit behind Lingsha, small enough to not be worth pulling for her if you have E6 Gallagher
The problem with invesment in f2p wise you gonna hit a ceiling where you can only break with sign lc or eidolon which is very expensive
Meta goes so fast, 1.x dps can barely compete unless your 1.x have high investment.
It's just as expensive as spending and building for new characters and teams, I would say even more expensive.
You watch too much 0 cycle clear youtube instead of trial and error/building your characters correctly.
174 hanya is pretty easy tbh, she is one of the fastest chars baseline. mine can be built with 197 without even taking her E2 into consideration (with it, it goes up to 220)
also vertical investment should be done towards supports, not dps, cause you can utilize them in other teams with other chars you like, even 1.0 ones. i'm still using seele since 1.0 and clearing with very comfy cycles with a sustain. my most used team with her is e1s1 seele (i got lucky at release), e0s1 hanabi, e1s0 fuxuan, e0s0 robin.
(she is already the most replaceable unit in super break/break teams)
90/160 is easily doable if you commit to upgrade your chars as well. just stop leveling chars and grind. prioritize stats over set. i can build many chars with similar ratio than that without a crit lightcone.
my acheron is at 95/255. my seele 101/225. my dhil 92(i think)/180 they have their lc's but just subtract the amount of cr/cd from the stats and you will still see a reasonable build. my himeko runs at 82/150 with her lc, herta 95/150 with 4 star moc lc.

I would say Robin too. Strong buffs, is BiS in most teams (except break), and 100% AV for the entire team is invaluable, and will scale with the strength of future units
I'm still wondering for how little we know of his brothers kit
not really BiS, more like the better choice cause of the AV, she is for sure BiS in the fua comp, no one beats her there, the criteria to be BiS is the characters can fully utilize her kit, I mean all of it, no other comps benefit on her other traces than FUA, but she is still the btter choice tho

Similar to Luka's enhanced basic attack (if they have bleed + arcana on them) or gui's ult (burn + arcana)
So kafka isn't the only one she just has the least ramp up time
Investing in kafka and black swan is the best thing I've ever done.

Fr I’m contemplating getting black swan e1 or s1 now
I think Aventurine is almost the most universal character I have ever used.
So, at e2s1
A 20% crit damage buff from E1
A debuff of increased damage by 10% from light cone
Ult give a debuff of 15% crit damage from ult
Basic attack gives a debuff of all type res of 12% from E2
Plus, a stacking shield from talent and ult.
So, he should be the top of lasting characters if fu xuan is there. There is really only two teams i wouldn't put him in. That's break and DOT
Edit: Thanks to the comment of @niigolover i re-looked at the light cone and realized that the crit damage was not party wide.
@@andrewhaydock5557 his lc's 40% crit dmg only applies to himself. It's not teamwide.

Bro is not a snack, but a whole meal. Respectfully.
sorry for the wall of text
people say support and sustain are the least likely to be powercrept, but could it be that it's because dps gets released wayyyy more often? yeah no wonder a 1.0 5* dps is worse than 2.3 5* dps (in terms of ease of use, skill floor, numbers, whatever) when there's been almost a dozen other dps between them
like people say aven powercrept fuxuan. regardless of that argument's validity, imagine if they had released 4 other limited preservation by now, it'd be even more likely that fuxuan wouldve been even worse off (not saying she's bad, but relatively speaking). the 3 limited harmony, 2 of them have some form of advance forward, a mechanic exclusive to bronya for 7 patches. they released only one limited harmony that didnt have it (ruan mei) before going "fuck it, advfor is broken, give variations of it to the next 2". imagine if they had released 2 more harmony by now, how "bad" would bronya/ruan mei be by now (again, not saying theyre bad, just relative to newer units)
not really, support and sustain are least likely to be powercrept because they can fit in different teams of different archetype and as long as they are doing their job then it's fine. for example, aventurine powercreeps gepard by hundreds of miles but does it matter? you can always use gepard if you don't have aventurine, gepard will always do his job despite having lower numbers in comparison.

im kinda scared about Acheron's situation...like,2-3 patches after feixiao's release i really feel like her dmg would be significantly lower as they introduce new mechanics and enemies...
for people who aren't pulling for jiaoqiu, she'll be performing significantly worse, and by the time his rerun comes, she'd probably be even irrelevant, unfortunately..
honestly the game is getting kinda expensive too in a way.soon you'd need 3 limited characters in that team or the main dps would be performing real bad,and hence they'll release those support reruns one by one lol

You can already tell by the break team. The end game is shifting to break and follow up atk now. Acheron’s still strong but no longer satisfying to play in end game content.
"the game is getting kinda expensive"
Does your boss pay you based on how many cycles you use every MOC12?
E1 fu xuan is pretty nice, adding 30% CD, although it isn't that nescesary it's great. Only thing i wish for FX is that her heals were slightly higher.
samee. a character that shields and heals would break the game 💀
A healing bonus chest piece and energy recharge rope does it for me
The game incentivize and reward players who play certain gamestyle for a certain end game content.
My fav team consist of Break & Followups unit due to how easy to get em (Mostly are free)
Gallagher + HMC + Boothill/Firefly + Ruan Mei
Dr Ratio + Topaz + Aventurine + Sparkle
1.6-2.4 : Break DPS, shielders
2 4- : FuA single target, healers
The current event with trashcan is actually foreshadowikg the next planet meta : HP draining meta

@evelila7881 What are you even saying?😭 Robin can easily clear any content faster than ruan mei in any team outside of break because of the action value advance so in what world is ruan mei "always better" than robin outside of break when robin clears faster than her in any content?

One thing I really like EOD is he never trash talks Luocha 😆. Yes, he has the least offensive utility among the sustainers. But his +1 SP will always be useful. And whenever you face HP-drain bosses (like SAM and the Disciple lady) he will be your best pick.
This! Honestly, he's still the only *5 limited sustain I have in my acc (Fuxuan-less, Huohuo-less, Aventurine-less) since 1.0
Also his buff removal is so helpful. It’s really great when they place Mara-struck enemies in the endgame content (or when you went to get rid of Argenti’s buffs)

I agree! I wouldn't say the Ruan Mei DMG buff is small/slight though - RES PEN % + % DMG Boost + Depending if you have E1, but it's still noteworthy
@@harry6699 E1S1 ruan mei is so overpowered. and when the new BE set came out, she became even stronger.

@@Finalslashes I do like her spd buff but yea her sp generation is still lacking
Based on that logic, nihility TB is going to be one of the BiS characters for DoT team.
there's also the fact that Kafka simply wouldn't be replaced even if we got a new character that was just a better Kafka because, simply put, Kafka would synergize with herself, which essentially makes her immune to powercreep
every extra Kafka-like character you could put onto a team would be an extra DoT being applied *and* an extra round of DoT triggers. any kind of Kafka 2.0 would almost certainly have the original Kafka as their most important support. anyone that actually manages to powercreep Kafka is going to want Kafka on their team.
I think we're going into summon meta soon
It's almost like this trashcan magician event is to practice for it. Like how "tales of the fantastic" in 1.2 was like a practice run for pure fiction (they're both even story themed), ever since then I've been on the lookout for "oh what could this event turn into permanently in the meta?"
This is a fantastic video. Really well explained about the state of the past, present and future with the game's meta and the value in the units. I sent it to my friend so he could understand the differences aren't too crazy when it comes to dps and that like most gachas the supports are always king!
been playing and following you since day 1! keep up the amazing content!
I think Top 1 Character LEAST resistant to powercreep has to be Blade...
Of course; man is consistent with them 8-cycle clears 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭

Righttt, i bet u would say something, and i can agree to that 😂
hey I just found ur channel, very interesting video I will 100% subscribe and even watch a few older videos!
I dumped everything into an E6 Acheron, I'm petty confident it'll be atleast a few years before she falls off, if ever.
In general, both are useful in everything, one shines more than the other in certain teams but in general they are equally good
"having two ruan mein would be great" if you have robin and her, you already have what you're talking about
And I know that people are going to come to defender Ruan Mei and I will just say, at what point am I leaving Ruan Mei in a bad light? I'm just saying that they both have a high value and that what he said about Ruan Mei can be applied exactly to Robin.
I used a translator for this, sorry if it's a little strange. and to emphasize the point why some get angry, they are both equally good, I'm sorry if you can't accept that because of your fanaticism.
I agree with what u said I don't compare both to be honest if u asked me I notice that Ruan mei and robin is same good support for any team..it just they shine for on certain team like example Ruan mei is good for break team cause she buff break team..
As for robin she also good but she shine more on FUA(follow up attack) team
Honesly I'm bit hesitate to pull for robin at the moment because I want male version of robin cause i prefer male characters..
So if u can gave me some tips..do I like robin? Kinda because she at the moment good for FUA team and I plan to build FUA team but you know how nasty hoyo can be..what if they released a male FUA harmony team,as f2p I be cooked.
I skip fei since I'm not into her...and I might skip lingsha because I prefer Gallagher my husbando
So...should I pull robin as f2P or not? Get her and her light cone? Or should I skip her?
At the moment I only have 1 team..which is boothil,Ruan mei,MC harmony and Gallagher.
Do u have like any leaks about future patchs? If they gonna release support characters for FUA team? Especially male one to replace robin,if not I will pull for her now and will not regret it later on.
Or I should just skip robin.
Oh yes I also plan to pull for a venture because once his banner out..
Thank you, o wise grandpa.
love the content, and the following opinion could be a bit biased (as I have both of these units, so I have a little bit of experience :), but I feel like units with colourless breaking, could be a valuable asset, with hunt in particular.
My man is actually age RESISTANT goddamn you look fine as wine
I would say Feixiao is part of the Archeron crew not the next phase.
I'm leaning towards break teams, looks like future proof since the game leans towards shield breaking.
as someone who skipped all break characters ive been strugging a lot in endgame content. if you don't have the latest new playstyle prototype characters, it will be hard to clear (for f2ps)
Ruan Mei has been a game changer for me, like insanely so. I can't believe I almost skipped her lol
Also her most meta team that was mono quantum sucks now
@@xXMAPLEPROX yeah we need a new quantum hypercarry asap
fu xuan is already powercreept and struggles in the endgame, specially in AS, and bro really but her above aventurine 😭
@@Splinnee the ignore shields is cope, the burn lightcone isn't even optimal anymore since jiaoqiu is acheron's best support and he kills the necessity for the trend lc. the fua comps keep increasing and aventurine is the best sustain for them while being good in basically any comp, while fu xuan isn't even the best sustain for monoquantum anymore. hence aventurine and gallagher being the only sustains in the S+/T0 in all tierlists
not just AS, but in GaG especially higher levels in conundrum against massive AoE enemies
I have a 9k hp fu xuan with f2p lightcone. She never dies in AS or anywhere. Just build hp. The only place where she dies is if you have the dmg distribution on all allies blessing in the SU
Mihoyo looking at this video
We will make these 5 characters powercreped withing 10 minths, thanks for the info!
My top5 characters:
1. Robin
2. Ruan Mei
3. Aventurine
4. Fu Xuan
But as long as we get new characters, it's normal to use old characters less and new characters more
Why are you so adorable? Many thanks for your analysis
lol Fu Xuan over Aventurine, heavily disagree on that. Plus Jiaoqiu is only usable on DoT if he is E2
Topaz and Robin should be above there.
i heard ppl saying jq performs similarly in place of topaz in ipc team tho what do u think
You can’t go wrong with nihility because debuff is the rarest attribute in lots of similar games.
14:35 Quartet
Great video!
I hear a lot of people say aventurine is just better than her, but in reality, they are both good but just work in different ways. aside from his most obvious synergy with fua teams, he's also more sp positive, which I think should be emphasized more.
some of the things I enjoy about fu xuan:
1) hp and crit rate buff to the rest of the team. the extra hp helps the others not die, on top of damage mitigation. I think the only time others still die first is with dot enemies, and funnily enough, boss aventurine (pre-nerf)
2) teamwide 1 time cc immunity per skill. most noticeable against the wraith warden enemy that inflicts reverberation and the auramoton that inflicts imprisonment!
3) great f2p option texture of memories, which synergizes amazingly with broken keel.
4) convenient technique, if I don't feel like fighting enemies then I activate hers and run (unless sparkle is on my team)
5) amazing ultimate animation!!!
oh, and one last thing I'll admit that aventurine has over fu xuan: his head 😂
Srsly kafka is just so good in and ouside of dot teams.
She’s like star rail’s nilou in terms of “proc-ing the damage that’s supposed tk delay and make huge numbers)
I love her and invested on her early on at E2S1 and that’s it.
She’s good in MOC, even with the annoying choir recently. It’s funny that i clear them using a team of kafka and Himeko cause Kafka also has built in Follow-up, every turn. So she’s great with robin (a lot of ult proc, more attack means higher Dot damage)
She’s great in pure fiction (she has a talent that recovers 5 energy anytime an enemy with Shock died which is basically 25+ energy per 5 enemies wave (put her on the Break LC and Energy rope and she’s a spinning monster)
And in the newer Apocalyptic she’s still good as long as there’s no Lightning resistance enemy.
Yea
Forget the doomposting, get your Jiaoqiu and Katka.
Promise you the Summon/Ult meta is coming/already here.
And jiaoqiu is here to stay.
Wanna add on on the Harmony MC and Mar 7th dual blade are very good n position longer time in future.
is firefly worth it?
I do think Acheron's S1 is pretty important to pick up though.
acheron is such a weird unit imo
new players will find it difficult to use her bc u need her s1, pela high eidolons, gui high eidolons or another 5 star (jq), potentially trend too (only this feels optional for her) yet she just gets gutted like any other dps (jingliu) if the resistance is not in their favour
ofc im just a new player but i dont understand the hype behind her when she just feels like any other dps
