Lucy breaking Aquarius's key to save the guild is probably the most heart breaking moment in the entire anime. She had to sacrifice her oldest friend to save her new family and it's sad that people don't appreciate her for that.
Aquarius didn't die lol it just meant she can't summon her anymore at least until she finds another rare Aquarius key which is really rare thus why the heart breaking moment, but the most sad in the Anime is Gray's whole storyline then Erza's almost coming in a close 2nd then maybe 1st Master and her background story with Zeref.
I luv her character development... How she was like-"I don't want to fight" in the beginning and now she was the one to activate Fairy Sphere... She has improved sm... I m proud of her!!

Most of the arcs are not focused aroun lucy. Galuna Island = Gray Phantom lord = Lucy Battle of fairy tail = Laxus and his relarionship with makarov Key of the starry heavens = relationship betwen lucy and Michael Grand magic games= whole guild is trying to regain their status as number 1 guild in fiore. Tartaros = whole guild struggle agains tartaros. Alvarez empire= natsu
peopel miscaulate lucy..they say that shes weak but you all dont realize what pain she has endured she lost her mother at a very young age and her father didnt care for her. and then she lost her father after the whole seven year sleep thing lets not forget how many times lucy has saved fairytail she cares for her members deeply yet peopl stay shes weak. peopel dont cry because there weak...its because the have been strong for way to long. i could feel lucy's sadness when she broke Aquaris's key. it was a gift that her mother passed down onto her.
I just want to clarify something breaking key's doesn't kill the summon, it just stops the summoner from summoning them and also seeing them, so when Lucy broke Aquarius key its like having a best friend or family member in real life but they left for some reason and you never saw them again, but they are still alive. Aquarius exists in the spirit world now waiting for her new yet rare key to be found.
The beauty of her sacrifice, Every zodiac has some core morals. As an aquarius, i 100% fully understand willing to sacrifice yourself for others, even if she was spicy at times, it's because she cares

Fairy tail inspired me to alots of things and when my cat died. Fairy tail helped my depression and now to see it all end just wants me to cry all day. I will miss you fairy tail. And also R.I.P aquarius you will be missed by all of the members of fairy tail .
She's not dead. Lucy has only broken her key, so, Aquarius can't go to the world of Humanity. And guess what, this key has ability to "reborn" itself. And it did. It's located somewhere in the world. Natsu, Lucy, Wendy, Erza and Grey are going to find it :)

the only bad side of this manga/anime is that no one from the significant characters died. So when you arrive at the last saga you are able to calmly read it page by page, cause you now there is no real danger. Could of been better if its a bit more like Shippuuden, where most of the big fights had real weight. But besides that FT is an 8 out of 10.

I think the saddest scene was when Igneel died, the second saddest when was Mavis and Zeref died together, then the 3rd is Aquarious' sacrifice

Aquarius kind of took on the role of her Mother. she lost her mother when she was young now she lost Aquarius. She now lost both of her mothers.
First and only time I had tears in the entire series. Lucy's cry after she lost Aquarius was hauntingly real.
