People need to learn the difference between criticizing and disrespecting someone. It’s ok to set the facts straight in terms of skincare but attacking her appearance was way unnecessary and frankly just mean.
The point was that she clearly didn't wear enough fps because her chest was totally damaged from the sun, and that's not just an appearance thing, it's health. FPS is not just for beauty, it's to protect against that type of damage that causes skin cancer.
Isn’t it crazy that most of those people making fun of the way she looks can only dream to look as good as her in their 50s. I think social media is messing with people minds, they actually think they will look 20yos forever, yeah right!
Yeah the thing is people have taken “you can and shout take better care of your skin, and if you do it might improve how you look when you’re older” and morphed it into “our bodies natural ageing process is disgusting, wrinkles and skin texture are a personal moral failing and I’m allowed to openly mock anyone who has them” which, whatever your reasons, is bullying for the sake of bullying. Your skincare shouldn’t be solely focused on anti-ageing bc it’s unhealthy and genuinely, truly isn’t something any of us can control...it should be about making your skin the best it can be and making you more comfortable (like, physically, bc skin issues hurt). Attacking a woman literally just for her body’s natural ageing process is, in fact, misogyny and is the kind of thing that will take us back to the 1950’s.
Hi Everyone! I thought this would be a fun video to discuss an important topic. I’m not defending GP’s comments about sunscreen at all, just pointing out that we shouldn’t take this an opportunity to make rude comments about someone’s looks. We shouldn’t comment about anyone’s looks if we don’t have something nice to say! I love all of you and just want to encourage positivity. 🥰
I appreciate you even more than I already do after watching this. There’s a lot of negative stigma with ageing; I appreciate you turning this around and shining this subject in a positive light. Keep the confidence up Susan. That’s true beauty. 💪
Honestly I sadly left your FB group because there were just too many snarky/nasty comments happening at the time. Thanks for saying something about being kind 💗
She’s Asian, she has a good Genes 🧬 those thin hair will never ever look like hers 🌚no hate or even my ass curly hair will never look like hers 🤣so nobody need to know how to do “tutorial” thank you ☺️
people are nasty!! I am going to be 37 this year. After watching youre channel for the last 4 years. People tell me i look 8 years younger than I actually am. fuck the haters!! Youre a queen!
Exactly. Theyre just jealous or have miserable lives and want other people miserable too. Susan looks amazing. (Or maybe theyre just incredibly ignorant and are used to seeing photoshopped instagrammers all the time and thinking that's real.)
I have never understood the borderline creepy obsession with looking young. I am 24 and enjoying my life while I’m young, but at the same time I am excited to get older and gain more life experience and wisdom, share my life stories with people, and keep learning new things every day. Honestly I can’t wait to be a quirky old woman so that everyone leaves me tf alone 😂
I look at it from this perspective: It is a privilege for me to age (I turned 40 this past weekend!); I have lost so many friends when I was younger and they don't have the opportunity to grow older.
Exactly! I am 38 and I never thought so many people my age would be gone already. I thought this was sth I would have to face a lot later. I am thankful to be given the opportunity to grow older. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! (I usually buy myself skincare presents for my bday. And body washes....body lotions....body butters. If you do too, please share what you got or your bday! I am interested!)
Truly! My dad passed away at 27 from a brain aneurysm. I feel so blessed to be able to keep growing older and live out things he didn't have the opportunity to experience
Happy bday! I just turned 40 as well last Friday. Cant believe its finally here. When youre young 40 seems so old! Lol. But you get here and realize its not what you thought. But yeah people need to stop demonizing older age. We're all going to get there eventually. If were lucky.
susan you were TOO nice by blurring the commenters' names and faces. if they're gonna say these nasty things publicly on the internet, they deserve to be publicly called out for their comments
@@RachelDee no. Their social media handle can be changed with a stroke of pen. We all can do it in UA-cam. Tar and feathering as you claim is smearing someone and actually killing their social media account. Which I actually think should be done with trolls and misinformation bots. She didn’t show them because some people use their Rl Name which no one should in UA-cam. And to be honest most of these comments remind me of teens. They need to learn and actually mature up. If that means public ally shaming them with their own words, so be it. They will learn one day, whatever you put in the internet sticks.
Omg I hate these people I’m turning 41 and I look damn good and I’m so sick of the aging world being so incredibly cruel. Even if I didn’t look good this needs to CHANGE LIKE YESTERDAY. Thank you Susan I think you look phenomenal and are so well versed in skin care and aging although you are young. Love what you do and your heart 💜
Not only that but what I hate the most is how we only focus on women’s age and appearance!! Like the fact we are afraid of aging and we have all these products against aging but men barely get any directed to them is even more frustrating because it’s a misogynistic and ageist thing. And it’s even more perpetrated with plastic surgery there is this narrative that you decide what you do with your body and yes this is very true but we also reinforce this idea that at a certain age you don’t « look » good anymore which isn’t true at all!! My mom is 54 never had anything done and she is beautiful there is beauty in aging and it’s sad how people of my age (still a teenager lol) don’t see it and are already afraid of getting wrinkles
I’m 24 and going through a crisis bc I feel old, and logically I know that’s SO dumb but our society only cares about 18-19 year olds lmao...life’s shit at 19, sooo many people say life starts at 30, our societies’ youth obsession is harmful and creepy
I had a patient at work ask me my age when I told him 32 he replied "oh your an old cat...I thought you was 25/26." Since when is 32 old? 🙄 My mom always said her 40s were the best years of her life.
I’m 33 and it’s easy to fall into the “I’m old” trap but mostly I feel like I’m so young and have heaps of life left. Screw those people thinking your 30s is old.
My aunt used to tan with CRISCO in the 80s. She’s now a nurse practitioner with a cancer speciality. It’s wild to see the impact knowledge can have to change a point of view
@@oliviapeterson5454 agreed. At 30, you start to come into your own, and your face fills out in a lovely way. Personally, I think I looked my best at 33-35. I was going to the gym, looked after myself. I'll be 40 in September and still think I look good.
hI, I also just turned 25 last month and from 20 to 25 ,my birthday never bothered me, i never thought that 25 or even 30 would be old....until I made worst decision ever and read that kind of articles on the internet about turning 25 and those videos that make you feel like you just entered your 80s and not mid 20s haha... When I was 21-22 , I made really good friends with a 35 years old woman, so youthful in character and looks,I really felt like I was going out with a girl my age, never went through my mind that she s old ,always viewed her as a young person and one day some rude dudes screamed to us ,,look, the mother with the child,, ....and I thought, what tf is wrong with them ,like yeah, you could see she s a little more mature than me ,but Definitely not OLD. I even remember when I was 10, my mom was 42 and I thought she was young.. But society really influences our thinking so much...now when I look back at pictures with me and my 35 years old friend ,I see she has some mild crowsfeet and some fine lines, but back them I never really remember to even notice them.. It s crazy how we are made to feel old at 25,especially for women..life just starts at this age, when your brain is finally fully developed haha. Have a nice day!
Thanks for posting this! I am 33 and just got into skincare during quarantine and for a while my anxiety was through the roof because all the messaging that I had started too late and heaven forbid I have a few lines around my eyes. But then also “don’t get Botox because then you aren’t choosing to age gracefully.” Ugh, the pressures on women from this society are too much sometimes!
the pressure on women is created by men but perpetuated by women. let's not pretend that women aren't complicit. All this obsession with 'looking younger' How about looking your age? Would that be so terrible? I swear, nothing will happen. I mean yeah men won't get a boner but is that your purpose in life?
Im 22 and I’ve been following this channel since I was 14 and mainly following Susan’s advice the past few years, my skins never been better (and when it does break out, I actually know what to do and how to handle it). Also, I think she’s one of the rare few celebrities I’ve seen whose lip filler looks natural and great
@@bianka94825 I have a chronic disease (type 1 diabetes) that forces me to give myself four shots a day to live. I have had many people try to sell me products to cure me of my incurable disease. I agree that GP is a snake salesman but I disagree that being ugly and hateful to others is the right answer (although a very American attitude). You clearly do believe that so good for you.
@@angiestevens3479 well im no saint (nor american lol) and I didnt use mean words to her in the comment but I think people are free to voice their opinion
"I refuse to give superior authority to inferior thought." - Sonnie Johnson. It's more empowering to control my own beliefs/influences/attitudes than call other men or women out on theirs and wait around on them to make me feel better about myself.
I've seen so many people talk about Gwyneth's looks and it just goes to show how misogynistic the entertainment industry is we see so many people tear down women whos aging but uplift men like Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp and it's like people forget that AGING IS NORMAL
Right?? The whole “silver fox” narrative but we dont get any of that. We’re just old bags or witches if we have that same silver hair. I honestly think some of it is our patriarchal society feeling threatened by the female empowerment that comes with aging. It’s “inappropriate” to express our sexuality/femininity in the same way as we age, so we dont and then we’re made fun of. We cant win.
@@joelleelizabethn exactly and if a women decides to get plastic surgery they’re are seemed as “fake” but if a women doesn’t decide to get anything done they’re considered “ugly” among other things.....either way women can never win and it sucks
Some of those comments were so ridiculous it was funny... Im 31 and people in their early 20s always tell me wow you don’t look 31... how the f am I supposed to look ??? Wrinkly with crepping skin ? I’m really glad you started this conversation and you look amazing 🤩
Yep. They've been led to believe that anything 30 and older for a woman is old and wrinkly. I've had multiple people tell me that they can't believe I'm 30 and that I haven't changed much and I'm just baffled that they expect me to look so much older.
I would never judge Gwyneth on her appearance...I judge her on the false claims her company makes. I also judge her for praising the EWG. Judging people based on their appearance is wrong and unnecessary. And Gwyneth probably reads mean comments in a gold bathtub while drinking champagne and laughing at the haters.
@@ambercastillo6581 I meant laughing about people hating her skincare routine, not about people commenting on her appearance. She obviously does not care about people disliking her skincare because she continues to spread harmful and false claims. She literally had lawsuits against her company and still did not change anything.
my parents are now in their 70s - in their youth they were sunbathing A LOT (especially my mum). now both of them deal with the results of that: my dad had skin cancer on his cheek and my mum deals with sun damage on her face on a constant basis. I am very thankful to them that they always put sunscreen on me (because my skin was and is so fair) even though it wasn't yet the thing to do. I never liked going out into the sun and would stay in the shade and in my late 20s I really went on the sunscreen bandwagon. I wear SPF 50 every day all year round and get compliments for my skin.
The attack on older women makes me very upset. We don't know what that person is going through and what they're dealing with behind the camera. If you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say anything and also we're all getting older, so watch your words because it will come back to haunt you.
What costs nothing (such as a comment on youtube that takes little to no effort to send), is worth nothing. Unless someone says it to her face, the comment is null.
I didn't realize how much I needed this video until I saw this video. I was on the train of watching reactions to that Gwyneth Paltrow video because I knew they would be harping on everything wrong with it. And I also knew they would justify that bullying in the name of science. Still I watched the bullying. I knew better and that's a character flaw I want to eradicate in my personality, and thank you for calling it out! Selfishly, I needed it
This is refreshing. Ty for not adding to the noise but sticking with good information and also supporting each other, even if we don’t always agree with each other, it’s not a reason tear someone down. Ever. Ty for stepping forward with a voice of sanity and reason 🙏🏻💕 Edit: now that I’ve totally finished the video, please DO keep making these kind of videos! It’s so so important for all of us to hear. And girlfriend you ain’t old 🤣 I know sometimes it can feel that way when we think back, especially with tiny ppl under us (my oldest is 11 and youngest 8....so watching her start hit tween/teenage stuff is KILLING me in the feeling old department 🤣). Thanks again for sharing. Keep your head high. You are doing amazing ✨
I'm 47 and I have enjoyed my 40's. I get along better with my family, I have great friends, I'm really good at my job and can stand up for myself, I am a better cook, I am a better gardener; I'm all around a better person and better at the things I like to do. How I look is the least of my concerns although I take good care of my skin and body.
I am 44, and I can truly say that I was much more insecure in my twenties than I am now. At the end of the day, age brings wisdom and perspective, and looks are just a very small component in who one is.
I turned 30 this year and embraced it. Your videos actually helped some with that. Watching you kill it and have confidence in yourself had me thinking hey aging is pretty bad ass when you do it right
People drag women through the mud for aging and drag women through the mud for trying to look better. You look fantastic and do whatever makes you feel good!
god it breaks my heart how we tare each other down at times. Thank you for talking on this. As women our value has been wrapped up in our Beauty since millennia, aging use to have value for our societies but today it is a negative to age. We need to talk about this so we can change it 🌟🌟🌟🌟
@4:50 "It's another level when men start to comment on a woman's looks, because...it's just gross." I love the way you stated this Susan. I don't think men realize just how petty and even catty they seem when they comment on the state of a woman's looks.
I don't understand how it would make it worse when men do it. Quite ironic when women make small pp jokes and shame a man for not being “tall”. It's just another level of grossness when women try to talk about a man's height negatively. They have no right
Susan, thank you for speaking about this and for always being transparent about the procedures you do. Women who criticize your looks are scared to death of aging or are jealous. Putting you down makes them feel better. It’s sad because we are all aging. If we don’t support each other, who will?
So glad you pointed this out. There's so much fixation on women "staying young", and men just don't get the same treatment...Gweneth Paltrow actually looks good for her age, everyone is just so used to hollywood stars that have had surgery and botox. She didn't deserve that disrespect
Thank you Susan for adding, for being positive and objective. I’m 37 and I understand exactly where you’re coming from. With this video your earned my respect not only as a professional (you had that one already) but as a fellow woman and mom
I am so sad to hear that people need to write comments like these. I am happy you share it to make everyone aware what people in front of camera go through and also show how mean people can be. I hope this video makes people think twoce before commenting mean comments
Thanks for the positivity and kindness Susan 🥰 she could just went for a quick viral video attacking Gwyneth comments but instead she really stepped up the conversation.
Hi! I am shocked by the comments. What happened to manners? What happened to commenting about the issue rather than the person? Susan always looks pretty and she provides useful information.
I literally almost died of envy when you turned around showed ALL THE REST of your hair. 😅🤣 Seriously though, thank you so much for this video. My eyes were almost stuck in the back of my head from rolling at the comments on the last vid requesting you "react". I was just like, can we stop. There's a point when it's no longer "constructive criticism" or "teaching" and it turns to just attacking and bullying. Why do we need more negativity. I'm so glad you did this video instead because it shows your character and enforces the message behind your videos.
They’re insane, you look great. Those commenters would be lucky to look as good when they get to your age. You aren’t even old and you don’t look old. It’s like they think there’s no life beyond 29.
Oh, Susan! You got me through the pandemic and allowed me to truly begin and stick to a skincare routine! Some people binge-watched the office, I binge-watched your skincare reaction videos!!! I have loved and learned from your videos on both of your channels, and I am so thankful for what you and your team put out in the content world!
I appreciate how you always approach things in a lighthearted but rational and practical way. You’re always saying people are allowed to think differently and people’s skin reacts differently, etc. I’m so sad that so many of the people who take the time to comment are so hateful, bitter, and truly lack the sense that you continuously display. Also- I don’t mean this as a backhanded compliment, but I just love how we really get to see your sense of humor shine in this video! The merch bit was gold 😂
Love this! You are such an inspiring woman Susan and are soo beautiful inside and outside. All women reading this comment are! Please love yourself and don't ever let people tell you who you are!
I really get and feel about this video. I was bullied a lot when I was young for being fat or having large lips or having darker tan skin. Though, I am blessed and happy to have amazing friends and family and a support group that made me not to take those comments seriously but deep inside it still does affect you and you think about it from time to time. I remember after graduating highschool and going to college telling myself to be more confident about how I look. So I started experimenting new haircuts or new "fashion" that I would feel good even if someone tells me it is a terrible idea or it doesnt look good on me.I realize that whenever I believe and show people how confident I am with myself, people around me do praise me and acknowledge that and for times that I don't feel good about myself or being so self-conscious, are times when bullies or criticisms come out. I love your channel because you are open about having procedures and how happy you are with your age when a lot of people usually hide or lie about this. I don't see anything wrong with any of it because we all get older and we all in a way try to improve how we look. As long as you are happy with how things are, you shouldn't let the haters get to you because I am certain it's only a few compared to the bunch of praises you get and we tend to focus on the negative and tend to forget how many love you get. And for reals, you look amazing and gorg!
That’s why they say that “youth is wasted on the young” - when those who criticize start aging, I hope they can forgive themselves for being such fools. Because getting older, my friends, is better than the alternative. And also, Susan, you are a beautiful woman with lots of good skin care advice. Their time will come... if they’re lucky enough to age :-)
I really don't know how anyone could look at Susan Yara and think she's anything but beautiful. Personally, I think Susan has gotten even more beautiful as she's aged. I *know* I'm not gonna look that good when I'm 40, I don't look that good now LMAO.
Amen! We are so obsessed with being forever young. Newsflash, youth is short lived and not always that great! I hate that we make women feel bad for aging..if we’re are not aging we’re not breathing! So honestly to age is a gift and we need to shift our mindset of how we feel about aging and people of older age in general. You look amazing Susan! I’m looking forward to turning 40 in a few years! What a blessing, and I embrace every wrinkle, every flaw. Women we are beautiful at every stage of life!💗
Susan! I’m so glad you addressed the topic of aging! For me, I’m a mom in my early 20’s, your channel has been such an important part of my life! Because of you, I learned what a good skin care routine is, why it’s important to take care of my skin and how important sunscreen is. You are so beautiful, keep doing what you’re doing! The knowledge and wisdom you have learned is much valued and appreciated
People can be soooo mean. I'm glad that you can just brush these negativity aside. You are beautiful Susan Yara!!! Keep up the awesome attitude of embracing yourself.
I don’t know much about GP, but she’s beautiful and Susan is stunning. After my third pregnancy I noticed drastic changes in my appearance. Now I’m 36 and have four kids. The other day someone younger than me with one child pointed out that I’m not aging well, but I’m aging well for a caucasian. 🤷🏻♀️
I hate that nowadays social media allows people to speak whatever is on their mind but they would NEVER say this stuff in person. No respect and no decency. Susan you look amazing. You’re beautiful, your skin is nice, your hair pretty.
A friend of mine told me “I always lie about my age, I tell people I am 10 years older than I am- everyone tells me I look fab!” I think she might be on to something 🙃 Just kidding.. but seriously - I am 46 & have never felt better!
I always think Susan is perpetually frozen at 35 forever. It still shocks me she is almost 40. Idk what hateraid these commenters are drinking, but Susan looks incredible and her transparency and knowledge is powerful and real. You keep doing you, Susan! Thank you for all the lessons and for helping men and women love their skin: flaws and all! Also, you have hair goals xoxo
Amen, I am in my late 20's and this fear has been instilled in me from a young age by culture and not by my mom. My mom looks great and sure, she's used a lot of products, but her genes just look great at her age.. I am so hyper-aware it, but at this point I'm thrilled to look whatever I look like because that is life and choices that were made. I think you're beautiful.
Because it really doesn't taks courage, they don't expect that the creator will really see it let alone interact with it and do it as some form of therapy/anger outlet for themselves, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a few apologies after this video.
Love that you're spreading the message that physical aging is normal and natural (and really such a blessing). I really enjoy skin care videos but the culture around it often comes off as trying to completely avoid any type of changes as you age which is impossible.
I have to say this video was very refreshing , I am glad you spoke on aging and the big stigma around it , we are all going to age god willing so let’s embrace it
I am so glad I found your channel. I’m a mama of two and I just turned 30 this year. I’ve dealt with my own insecurities from baby weight gain and loss to the early signs of aging. Thank you for being so poised, I truly needed this video! Never change.♥️
I have the upmost respect for you I have learned so much from you .. you are a beautiful woman.. i’m in my 60s I take care of my skin. Enjoy my night routine I have learned a lot from you thank you for all you do❤️
I love ur hair without color because I see so much colors on hair I like the simplicity of your hair I am 28 and recently had my birthday, shared a picture with the 28 balloons n my boss is like oh how can. U share age? Don’t u feel self conscious ? I never felt self conscious about my age before that it made me question should I feel concerned that I am aging ? But Alhumdulillah I am so so blessed to have lived this long n go thru what I have been thru I’m proud of the way I look
Watching this makes my heart race. Just the anger of how people could be just sooo bad. It’s disgusting. I bet none of them would dare to say what they’ve said in person. gosh!
Horribly disappointed in the people who waste their own time leaving such nasty comments. I can’t stand it! I know you’re not fishing for compliments but I absolutely love you and all you stand for. Especially your stance on aging and preserving what we have now. I’m about to turn thirty and feel the pressure of wanting to look youthful and spending the money to do it... but my conscience won’t allow it. I want to embrace the body God has given me and the wisdom that comes with the years spent in this body! I admire you so much! And you are absolutely gorgeous, inside and out ♥️
Take away: Focus on kindness toward ourselves & one another. Have gratitude for every extra year we get in this precious life! Embrace aging- hell yeah!!🙌🏻 Thanks for the self-depreciation on our behalf- You seriously had me rolling 😂 & relating. Xo
Such an important point. Love seeing the misogyny come out to criticize women. Paltrow pushes harmful products, but her age and appearance aren't relevant.
This video has made my appreciation for you grow so much! I turned 34 today and have, maybe a thousand, worries about getting old, but, at the end of the day, how lucky are we to continue LIVING!? Has going through a global pandemic not been enough for people to learn kindness or appreciation about growing older? Thank you for this Susan. Just the peep talk we ALL needed ❤️
Susan saying "chongo" made me remember she's half Mexican and half Korean- and then I suddenly couldn't stop thinking of all the delicious food she must have had growing up from both cultures. Ok, I think I'm hungry!
Gosh those people comment that you’re looking old for your age like for real? I WISH I WOULD LOOK HALF AS GOOD AS YOU when I got in your age. Thank you for teaching me how to take care of my skin, I learn so much what I did wrong and my skin has improved. I support what you do and your positivity. Sending love from Australia 💗
As a 24-year-old, that constantly gets told I look younger than I appear, but lacks your wisdom and is struggling with depression/ suicidal thoughts daily, I think you’re absolutely stunning Susan. People like you have made me realize being young doesn’t necessarily make anything better, and some of us (you included) age like wine❤️ hugs from Alaska♥️♥️♥️
Gosh people can be so gross and mean behind their screens. I personally think Susan has always looked great but her inner beauty and fun personality is what keeps me coming back! ❤
@mixedmakeup PLS release merch with these quotes, oh. My. GOD. I’m good with my face aging from laughing so hard at you reading these 😂🤣😭😭👌🏻👌🏻 my queeeeen. I’m a messsss. I need “That not her real face” on a shirt nowwwww
Not only you’re a beautiful woman but the energy that you’re giving us is making you such a beautiful person. We can tell that you’re a nice, caring and fun person and that’s why I follow you. Age doesn’t matter, I just want to take better care of myself and your information just is really good ! I love how you do your job so well. Like those comments are unnecessary. If people don’t like you, they’re most likely will find other youtubers with content that they would like. No need for those mean comments. Anyway keep on doing your great work Susan, people like me love your videos, I really learn a lot from you. ✨🧡
Hi Susan. Long time subscriber here. Thank you so much for this video and your perspective. Very enlightening and educational as always. I just had my first son and I look forward to showing my children (boys and girls) your videos someday to help them feel empowered about their skin. I would love to see a video on how pregnancy and multiple pregnancies effect you skin and body and how you’ve coped with it and what you’ve done to change your routines etc. also a video on teen skin/young skin and how to deal with the struggles they may face. Also just skin empowerment in general. Sorry if you’ve made these videos already and I’ve missed them. Love you much from PA!
I really appreciate the message of this video! It's so important to advocate for positive changes and you are doing so much more good with this platform than just skincare!
I cannot believe the negative comments!!! Shame on them. Please note these people are jealous, resentful, and vindictive. YOU GO GIRL.. whatever it takes! You are gorgeous!! Keep sharing!!
I was appalled by the comment section. Everyone pretending that they have worn sunscreen since the day they were born and also pretending that their moms in their 60s looked better than her..(as if)... one of them said she looked like a Junkie... Like??? Have you ever actually seen a junkie??? Cant believe people are so mean. Its her skin, its her body... Let her do what she wants, people learn from their mistakes...! And you're gorgeous! People can be really mean when they're jealous.
WOW! Those comments are just bad. I did want to start a skincare UA-cam but I'm not that strong. Keep up the good work! I think you look amazing. P.S. If someone adds 'for your age', it's an insult and I've called people on the floor, that shit.
I freaking love your appearance , everything about it is beautiful, i don’t understand those horrible people and their comments. Keep being yourself Susan, we love it❤️
I wish aging wasn’t so stigmatized in westernized cultures. To me, growing old is a gift denied to too many. I’m sure it’s hard as you get older and your body doesn’t look or feel as it once did (I’ve already experienced a bit of that, but people should still cherish every year they get because too many people die young. If you get to live to be old (like 80+), that is such a blessing. I’ll cherish every wrinkle and fold by then and won’t give a damn what anyone has to say about how I look. Great video!
I saw lots of people talking about her chest, and how much sun damage it showed, and I think that's more of a comment on health than on her appearance. That looked like skin very prone to developing a skin cancer. I think people were triggered because this touched health, not just beauty.
Totally agree, I'm all for supporting women and commenting on appearance but Gwyneth was using her appearance as advice to others on how to apply skincare, especially sunscreen. I think people pointing out that she has sun damage is to hopefully correct viewers who thought it was fine to apply sunscreen that way.
@@MrDrelitus people said she looked disgusting. My comment is obviously not about health and doesn’t negate the fact that sunscreen is important.
Isn’t it crazy that most of those people making fun of the way she looks can only dream to look as good as her in their 50s. I think social media is messing with people minds, they actually think they will look 20yos forever, yeah right!
Soo true!!
😍😍😍
I appreciate you even more than I already do after watching this. There’s a lot of negative stigma with ageing; I appreciate you turning this around and shining this subject in a positive light. Keep the confidence up Susan. That’s true beauty. 💪
Aww you are so sweet and funny @susanyara agree with you 100%
Ps the chongo part was soo funny
Your confidence and positivity are truly goals, Susan! 💕 I need ALL of that!
Honestly I sadly left your FB group because there were just too many snarky/nasty comments happening at the time. Thanks for saying something about being kind 💗
We need a hair video. Susan’s hair is on point these days!
I was thinking the same thing!
Yes, a tutorial would be great💯
You mean every day?🤔😉
She’s Asian, she has a good Genes 🧬 those thin hair will never ever look like hers 🌚no hate or even my ass curly hair will never look like hers 🤣so nobody need to know how to do “tutorial” thank you ☺️
@@fufuissue2089 I actually have thick hair so video on tips and tricks would be really helpful, I just wonder if she uses as much hairspray as I do😉
Never, ever forget: Growing old is a privilege denied to many.
Be grateful, always ❤️
thank you!
YES!
Amen!
people are nasty!!
You took the HIGH ROAD here, but like.. easy higher! You just proved how smart and elegant you are. You are the kind of woman I want to be!
Yes!!!
This was so kind. Susan could've gotten a lot of views by doing the reaction video but instead she responded with kindness. I appreciate that. ❤️
I look at it from this perspective: It is a privilege for me to age (I turned 40 this past weekend!); I have lost so many friends when I was younger and they don't have the opportunity to grow older.
thank you for sharing your perspective. it's really inspiring, i love it so much
Exactly!!!!!! Thank you! This is my perspective too! Every day is a gift from God 😍❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾👌🏾
That's digital tar and feathering. I hope your principles evolve.
Social media is public, you i complete agree on exposing bullies like that! If you make it public why not share it publicly as well....
@@ireneswackyjournals8810 thank you for perfectly putting into words what I could not!!
Agreed I’m 31 and it’s crazy that society makes me feel like I’m old already!
You go girl!!
When I turned 30 people called me old 😅 no one is going to be in their teens/mid20s forever
I am 48. 30 IS NOT OLD!
I’m 33 and it’s easy to fall into the “I’m old” trap but mostly I feel like I’m so young and have heaps of life left. Screw those people thinking your 30s is old.
@@sisterursuline I feel the same way
Im 44 and this is definitely my favorite decade so far! 🥰
My aunt used to tan with CRISCO in the 80s. She’s now a nurse practitioner with a cancer speciality. It’s wild to see the impact knowledge can have to change a point of view
@@TheMimigenova what ?
I just turned 25 and I feel like I'm so old because society makes it seem like once a woman turns 30 they're in a hospice lol
😂😂😂 love this comment
I know! It’s so annoying how society views youth and beauty. They’ve clearly never of heard of being thirty, flirty, and thriving !
@@SpaceOutlaw_ I personally feel like everyone is their absolute hottest at 30!!!
But then also “don’t get Botox because then you aren’t choosing to age gracefully.” Ugh, the pressures on women from this society are too much sometimes!
there's no winning :/
Doesn’t matter when you start because there is a difference between looking young and looking good
It's never too late 😃
I hear you on this
the pressure on women is created by men but perpetuated by women. let's not pretend that women aren't complicit.
All this obsession with 'looking younger'
How about looking your age? Would that be so terrible? I swear, nothing will happen. I mean yeah men won't get a boner but is that your purpose in life?
Im 22 and I’ve been following this channel since I was 14 and mainly following Susan’s advice the past few years, my skins never been better (and when it does break out, I actually know what to do and how to handle it). Also, I think she’s one of the rare few celebrities I’ve seen whose lip filler looks natural and great
I appreciate you taking the higher road when criticizing her video. I’m not a big fan of GP but no matter what people deserve respect.
This.
Even the snake sale person that gives false hope to people struggling w infertility? She has zero empathy, another air headed self absorbed celebrity.

THIS IS SO TRUE OMG LET WOMEN BE WOMEN AND GROW OLD LIKE THEY WANT TO
This!!!!!!
YEP! say it louder for the haters in the back
You can’t assume she’s laughing at the haters she is human too I was okay with your comment until that point
@@ambercastillo6581 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Selfishly, I needed it
Susan: Your teeth and hair are amazing. Your eyebrows are amazing. The haters are just jealous.
Exactly! She's gorgeous! I don't understand what people get out of saying things like that to her.
Facts.
Her teeth are veneers
IRONIC How they forget that they will get old someday. Susan you look Fabulous 😘
This is refreshing. Ty for not adding to the noise but sticking with good information and also supporting each other, even if we don’t always agree with each other, it’s not a reason tear someone down. Ever. Ty for stepping forward with a voice of sanity and reason 🙏🏻💕
Edit: now that I’ve totally finished the video, please DO keep making these kind of videos!
They have no right
@@-SimonRiley you just explained it. When women talk about men it’s even more gross. So the same would apply to men talking about women.
Seriously though, thank you so much for this video.
I didn’t come with a good impression of Susan at first (only heard about the Natrium controversy) but now I’m a fan. Such a graceful response
They’re insane, you look great. Those commenters would be lucky to look as good when they get to your age. You aren’t even old and you don’t look old. It’s like they think there’s no life beyond 29.
You are BEAUTIFUL Susan. so happy you made this video!
Oh, Susan! You got me through the pandemic and allowed me to truly begin and stick to a skincare routine! Some people binge-watched the office, I binge-watched your skincare reaction videos!!! I have loved and learned from your videos on both of your channels, and I am so thankful for what you and your team put out in the content world!
also, I LOVED your messy curly hair! I also love your smooth, blow-out hair!
Dang if people are that harsh on Susan then I bet they’d think I was just an old mop😂

Right? SMH 🤦🏻♀️
Yeah, Susan is gorgeous.
That made me laugh so hard I cant focus
Love this! You are such an inspiring woman Susan and are soo beautiful inside and outside.
All women reading this comment are! Please love yourself and don't ever let people tell you who you are!
Omg, the sound fx when you said you were getting botox and fillers again almost made me spit out my drink! LMFAOO😂
I agree she's gorgeous n looks amazing. Don't compare yourself though. She's also been quite clear that she's had a lot of work done.
This is such a good conversation!
It truly is!
Women we are beautiful at every stage of life!💗
Love this Susan Yara! Thank you for speaking so candidly to this important issue! And, we all know you’re stunningly gorgeous!
When they go low, we go high. You’re a classy lady Susan.
A friend of mine told me “I always lie about my age, I tell people I am 10 years older than I am- everyone tells me I look fab!”
I think she might be on to something 🙃
Just kidding.. but seriously - I am 46 & have never felt better!
Susan! Your hair colour is GORGEOUS girl
I could never been able to understand how people have the courage to leave a negative comment on somebody’s video/photo, crazyyyyy

Embrace aging- hell yeah!!🙌🏻

Yesss!!! Been waiting for this!!
NO CAP @susan Yara you look BEAUTIFUL with and without makeup .
I'm so happy I found your channel! I love how honest and open you are, and you look gorgeous!
I knew in my twenties that sun exposure was going to end when these years ended. Now, in my forties, I'm glad of my decision.
LOVED this video! THANK YOU Susan
Susan you are such a strong, beautiful, intelligent, independent woman! Thank you for providing a great channel to watch!
Love these positive invoking videos!
So agreed with you Susan. You are truthful, brave, beautiful inside out, caring & smart. Luv you too...
wow i started crying i don't know even why , but she is right about a lot of points
