Video clips used from Star Trek Into Darkness.
Music is called "An end Once and For All" composed by Clint Mansell and Sam Hulick
I know of the bad clip at the beginning, I don't need to be reminded ;) - Фільми й анімація
Actually I AM one of those people who was a kid watching them all in first run. I appreciate staying true to the storylines, but I also enjoyed some liberty. That's why I could read the spin off novels & not nit pick them to death. I like how JJ is making it different. As time goes on one learns to appreciate just enjoying art.
Same reason why the Enterprise was "the only ship in the quadrant" docked at Earth during the V'Ger incident in TMP.
In the original movies, such as TMP, and Undiscovered Country, the Enterprise is always 'the only starship within range'.
Funny, because i was just checking out this very song before i pressed your video. Awesome vid.
In "interception range" was the actual response. More likely referring to their advanced shields and engines, and going head on at V'ger they would be the only ship. The "only ship in the quadrant" was Trek II, when they were out in deep space.
the fleet was on exercises somewhere else and the drill blocked communications. 2009 actually had a pretty solid story but this movie had so many holes that it was almost insulting
Speed of plot, even used in the older films and TV series. There is no consistent warp speed scale relative to the time needed to get from here to there.
Sometimes it takes weeks, sometimes it takes minutes.
same thought occurred at the 2009 movie where the narada is drilling the earth's crust without resistance
Remembering Mass Effect...
When I went to watch this film at the cinema I think the film actually made me comprehend the dangers of being a starfleet explorer (or any other space explorer). Which is something because all previous Sci-Fi space exploration/space operas that I have watched that use spaceship they haven't once made me think about dying in space or feeling constantly nervous to whether I would see my family again after going out into the vast dark abyss of unexplored space.
good combinaison Jaap continue
Hmm hope my Shepard survived this time so he could stay at the beach with Liara :P
Awesome vid though!! Pretty emotional in stead of epic in the movie itself ;)
We do see a couple ships parked at Starbase One when Enterprise is heading out to Qonos, though.
When you think about it, that admiral did have a lot of pull. He simply could've ordered the federation ships within the Sol system outside it, say along the Klingon border to join the federation fleets (assuming their there) Then again, plot.
I found that this movie didnt have enough space scenes where the enterprise would shoot something
The only time Star Fleet ever decided to actually guard earth was during First Contact
Funny thing is, the Enterprise never once fires its guns during this film.
Keep in mind that the Enterprise was built to explore not to fight.
i like the way you think!
I think the new series' warp speeds are a little jacked up. If i remember correctly the NX-01 took several days to a week to reach Kronos while in this battle scene it appears to take but a minute or so. Now I understand that the NCC is faster, but that much faster? If it got that much of an upgrade from its direct predecessor, then they would steamroll Klingons.
they where there to protect earth yes. but that was still a few ligth years away, in first contact the battle happend next to earth
Makes me want to play Mass Effect again, goodbye the next three days.
Mass Effect 3 music on a Star Trek video? I like it.
because their slower than light "impulse drive" still blows rockets away. slower than light impulse drive still allows them speeds almost up to just a few seconds time from earth to the moon.
Into Darkness with Mass Effect music?
Let me love you. O_O
Well, the Enterprise wasn`t fighting against an official enemy, they fought against the boss of the Federation. Maybe the fleet didn`t know whom to help or got order from Admiral Marcus not to barge in.
that's Hollywood for you :P
Music is actually by Sam Hulick and Clint Mansell
This Trek was better than the 09 version.
Another question would be. how did the Enterprise get violently pulled down into the Earth's atmosphere when the ship was apparently 200,000 km away over the moon, all within a few minutes?
I was thinking the same. But maybe star fleet is lacking ships since a lot of them were destroyed in the 2009 movie.
nx-01 max speed was wapr 5 and the usually didn't go that fast but then again the ncc-1701 max speed is warp 9
Agreed!
Say it with me: "IT's just a movie !!"
not sure if you guys gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my gf these days xD
@Roger Forest Yea, have been watching on instaflixxer for months myself :)
It all looks good but I prefer the old style space battles.
Another thing, when they are fighting, you see the moon pretty close in the background. So how the hell did the Enterprise get to Earth and fall into the atmosphere so quickly? That's normally a three day journey as shown by the Apollo missions.
maybe they fired everything in the last movie you know when the destroyed Nero's ship with everything they got while Nero's ship was in a black hole
what is the object hitting enterprise at 1.42 ? is it another cgi pun like that bathroom sink in the beginning of star wars e3 fired towards another ship?
39 starships at Wolf 359.
Question number two would be: just how much longer would they stay at warp given they were closer than the moon!
Music from mass effect
Wow
Well, I think it makes more sense than the amount of damage the Enterprise took in the series.
I mean, it's a spaceship, so with all the debris floating around and the shots taken in battle you do need a hull that can take a beating and still hold...
But yeah, in this sense the movie is definetly not sticking to the series...
Yea, whatever, Abaddon. You have no arms.
Another would be; how can a ship's phaser fire catch up to the enterprise travelling several times the speed of light.
the answer is damon lindelof wrote this movie and things that make sense are detrimental to his convoluted story lines. Who would be best to design a giant starship with super advanced technology? 300 year old popsicle guy becuase hes smarter than the average bear
Cuz this is science-ship D:
I understood D:
Blame JJ Abrams and his team for absurd unrealism. But to your question JaapVSWDelta, I suppose Admiral Marcus must have sent the rest of Starfleet off on some wild goose chase.
Mass effect 3 XD
How the heck the Enterprise survive all that damage?
Other missions?
The biggest plot hole of all. Its the future with space ships and sensors that can scan stuff kilometers even lightyears away but your tellin me the Federation doesn't have any kind of planetary sensor grid that can detect 2 ships falling into Earths gravity well, with one of them aimed at the capital of a galactic alliance? Whoever designed that needs to be tossed out an airlock at Warp 9
You are here watching this video because...?
Then why are you here watching this video?
it never took seconds. (not counting trans warp)
The reasion there were not any federation ships helping , or the fact that their were not any ships around earth is that OUR GOVERNMENT IS STILL FIGHTING ABOUT THE BUDGIT AND THE GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN. We could only afford 1 ship.
Isnt that a Halo OST? Well to be fair it fits well to the univers of Star Trek, nice vid' btw!
It's an OST from Mass Effect 3. And thx.
IT'S MASS EFFECT
The Enterprise didn't fire anything!
LMAO ohhhh if you only KNEW how I have made a career of sandblasting REAL "trekkers" who at 40 still live with mom , "supposedly to care for her", all the while spending 80% of their min wage checks for trek uniforms to go to Atlanta this year. THAT is why I dont CARE of a movie is "canon" because it is a STORY.
its more than just a movie, its an abomination to people who care about star trek canon
