Thank you Finn& Ashley for this wonderful video he is so handsome and smart part dog+ part bird=best pet🦆 may God continue to bless your relationship amen 🙏💒💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🦆
I had a pretty surreal scenario occur in my head when I looked at the thumbnail: of the duck speaking english to the boy and it said: "Steve, come for a walk with me, I want to talk over some things with you." lol 🦆🚶
It seems confusing that they show an adult male duck at times and an adult female duck and call them both Finn. Did anyone else notice this, or just me? 🙃
I think all of the ducks featured are mallards, but the main one is a male, with the characteristic colourful head, while some shots are of females, which have brown-themed plumage. So yeah, it's not the same duck. Also the duck is bigger when they first find it squeaking than it is after they adopt it, which would require reverse growth! I don't necessarily disbelieve the story, but the footage used to illustrate it does not always seem to fit.
Check out one of the replies to the first comment. I tried to copy and paste it here, but it can’t be copied. The author of the comment writes at length about “eclipse plumage” (also called “eclipse molting/moulting“) in male ducks, where they go through a metamorphosis. You can read more about it on the Internet. Given that information about the metamorphosis they go through, it seems very plausible that we’re seeing the same duck throughout the video.
I remember living on the farm in Tennessee. My parents bought us a duckling from the local flea market. We raised it as a pet and loved it dearly. One day my parents decide to bring home a puppy. They played together and it was wonderful to see. Then came the day the 'puppy' decided that he wanted to taste what duck was like, and being on a farm we can't have that. The dog met just a brutal end as our beloved duck. What a feel good story, huh?
If you don't want a domesticated duck to FLY AWAY?,, then stop opening the door for him. Treat him as another member of the family,,and take care of him inside the house. Otherwise,, one day,, he will fly away. YOU will have caused it. He's NOW a domesticated duck. It would not be a good idea to release him into the wild. Also by allowing him to be outside,,, there are other predators that will consider the little duck part of their food chain. If you care for this little guy, PROTECT HIM. Thank you for for caring.
This wild duck is "just like " hanging out with us all day. I have tried to translate this using Google translate, but it doesn't work. Do American people study English at primary school level?
Funny watching Finn sit on the bulldog!
This is why I love animals. They don't scream ideologies or politics, they just want to have some good time and reward you for it.
Animals make the best friends. They will not disappoint you like most humans do. Thank you for helping Finn.❤
Absolutely, animals are such loyal friends! 🦆❤️ Finn is lucky to have found such a caring family!
He is part of your flock!

Male ducks go through a molt where they loose their bright green head and look just like a female duck. It’s only temporary though
I thought the same. There is definitely a female in the story, too.
@@Willow76ny I’ve never noticed that before in all my years of Mallard duck raising.
In unusual for this channel to show different ducks, usually the exploitation channels do that.
@ they molt in autumn, usually in seclusion cause they can’t fly during said molt.
❤❤❤❤
Cute story but I have questions. I'm no expert, but the main duck of the story looks to be a Mallard. The duck @3:07 does not look the same.

@@martynlester9869 - Thanks. That makes sense
Hi. The plumage changes from juvenile to adult and also seasonally. He’s the same duck. :)
@@caitrinehellenga4434 - Thanks for clearing it up for me☺

You are clearly showing two different ducks... one is male (colored), and the other one is female (all brown). Not a legit video.
