Round 4 ▶ 100 Roaches and 80 Hydralisks vs 90 Primal Roaches and 80 Primal Hydralisks

This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!
Watching all those disruptor shots dissappear without detonating was painful
I might be seeing it incorrectly but it looks like this disruptor has been modified so its balls detonate immediately upon reaching a target, which while it helps with single target damage seems to have actually made the disruptors a bit worse since they're not taking full advantage of the radius of their AOE and are basically just worse reavers at this point.

I just realize something. Disruptors are just the modern day Reavers. High burst siege unit that takes time to reload. Disruptors just traded the Reaver's sustainability by having one ammo instead of five in exchange with actaully being able to move out on the map without a Mobility Shuttle.

Where is? Look on battle after winning. There is only number of survived roach, but if you look on survived units, there is no roach.

I was expecting the Vanguards to win like in most brawls. To see them lose for once, shocking.

The fight between Winguards and Chadmortals was epic :D If there was one thing that I could see winning vs Vanguards, it's the Immortal. Also, those were the fastest Reavers I have ever seen in my life at 1:16 lmao
Tbf I wouldn't really call it a win for the immortals when they nearly lost to Vanguards even with numbers and cost were vastly in their favor.
those reavers had a collective 20 hp left.
i miss old immortal passive hardened shield its the that thing made it truly terrifying against heavily armored targets.

4/4 today! Fights #3 and #4 were easy calls, co-op / campaign units are always better than standard multiplayer units at similar resource costs. Reavers have a phenomenal track record and tend to win, but it was closer than I expected.
The hydras pathblocked the hell out of that roach to keep him save from himself
Every single Terran unit VS Every single Zerg unit
(1 Marine, 1 Repear etc.. vs 1 zerling, 1 rouch)

The zerg one was the coolest of them
The disruptors friendly fired the zealots, they couldve target the reavers
4/4. Vanguards are broken, but not THAT broken. Reavers are better than disruptors. Normal units< zeratul units. Dehaka's units, again are better than normal units.
We can clearly see how Abathur is VERY bad at his only job.

Disruptors are reavers the player has to aim, while reavers... also need aim so that their shot doesn't bug out hey wait a minute

Abathur fuming at the result of the last battle. Also damn the Vanguards did better then expected! I did not think they could almost wipe out an immortal army 5x its size
tbf the immortals' formation is perfect for the Vanguard's strength while many other Immortals didn't even have the chance to shoot before the AoE made them immortal-not

Yeap! The the zeratul stalker are remain unbeatable, meanwhile the primal version of the zerg are most efficient than the current version!

Vanguards are good, but I actually expected immortals to win. They're just so chunky that unlike most units they actually get a chance to fire off a volley before dying most of the time, and Vanguards by design have zero survivability bonuses. Once you start whittling down the Vanguard count it becomes easier and easier for the Immortals.
Expected reavers to win but was honestly hoping disrupters would. No such luck.
Underestimated Zeratul stalkers. Zeratul Immortals aren't special against ground, but they are immortals, and Zeratul stalkers are a lot of damage
Literally didn't know anything about this just bet on primal and won.

- Vanguards (I thought to fit along past trends)
- Reavers (I had faith in the old slug friends)
- Zertaul's (I figure the empowered special units would carry but I was wronged by the Vanguards already at this point)
- Primals (dehaka superiority)

Do Hardened Shield ability activate against those Vanguard? If so, I'd love to see that between those two.
I think they do, but vanguard's attacks deal about 20damage for 16total attacks per volley so I'd say hardened shields are pretty irrelevant
