A good cleaning in an ultrasound bath can produce miracles , and if it ' s just about finding new pieces , like new jets , a needle , a throttle , some gaskets ...think about Kedo here in Europe . they have many pieces !
Pretty good idea. I have been wanting to try my hand at spoke replacement but that one is scary to me. So I’m looking for a set of 1977 KE 175 reams to test it on. But taking one or two out at a time seems to work good. Thanks for sharing brother. See you on the next.
I tried lacing up a set of BMX bicycle rims from scratch when I was younger. It was a disaster and I could never get everything pulled straight & running true! Ended up taking the wheels to the local Schwinn dealer and had them complete the job!
Yamaha used to specify 3mm out of true and the rim looks good to me. Rusty spokes will go rusty again but its 40 odd years old so im sure anything will look better than rusty spokes without a full replate a wheel. rebuild.
Thanks.. on my carb, that small tunnel has been chewed away or rotted away by mouse pee.. I found a 1T1 and ordered it.. we will see how good it is when it arrive

I was nervous about even doing 1 to 2 at a time.

But never forget this small air tunnel in the bottom that everybody neglects . I can find pictures if you want
