Are new sitar metal tracks coming out !?n
please make more :)
I’m so late to the party here…
But this rules.
This is the best Sitar Metal video on UA-cam.
About time Rob. I thought you would mention in your video. But now I get why
A bit too late haha!
damn
Agreed Rob! Though, I really enjoyed your sitar playing! And, like me, you always want to see how metal you can make an instrument. \m/

This much of metal is enough to repair the Titanic
Priceless comment :D

Ages for ragas to actually tune up
I saw the same comment in For Whom the Bell Tolls video. Guess you are also a Metallica fan. Cool.
Respect from Iran to the people of India and Indian culture
I love Iran
Stay safe out there!!
My favourite people on earth, Iranians😊😊
After discovering the Hu and Mongolian metal, my body is fully ready for sitar metal
but have you discovered japanese grandpa metal yet?

@@matthewperget8251 yes ! i recently found them ! absolute delight!
try bloodywood(metal+rap) ... u will not regret
same after discovering hu metal came to know about this btw from India
I appreciate how much thought went into keeping the sound of the Sitar pure without compromising the heaviness of the overall tone. Very cool
Exactly. When I read 'Sitar Metal', I was afraid the sound of sitar would get lost in the heaviness, as you put it. But these guys have done a tremendous job of maintaining the spacing between the instruments.
I Love India!!!!!! And Indian metal too. A big hug from Rome, Italy
Legit: I have been waiting my whole life for this. Indian people playing heavy metal, with sitars, on their own terms. A proud Indian space program. Indian people writing science fiction, in their own inimitable way. I have always loved Indian culture, even from childhood. I knew the collision of India and cyberpunk/the future would be awesome!
bro your entire mythology can be considered a science fiction
I totally agree with you man. As a Indian I am still waiting for that to happen
@@naufalap the thing is that a whole lot of Indian people find it insulting to call our mythology, mythology. They prefer the term "History".
Yes I am watching and listening in pure amazement, my eyes and ears won’t be the same after this. This is beautiful 😍
Yeaahhh broo and i 100% agree!
He: I play a sitar.
Band: We're a metal band.
He: No prob 😎
More like:
He: I play the sitar
Band: you're in
@Shangrilla _ ow thanks a lot 😅 I'm not active here on UA-cam though. My music is mostly on Instagram
@Shangrilla _ I wonder where? 😅
Me: I play the triangle, can i join the band?
@A random shot nope
I'm a classically trained singer and someone who also dabbles in metal vocals. I never comment on yt. But i just couldn't help but comment on how good this is. I love love love how this maintains the heavy tones of metal without compromising the Indian classical aspect of a sitar. this is a masterpiece. Please please please continue making such good music, I'm honestly speechless on how good this is.
My whole life I always have heard people say they don’t like metal but it continues to be the most integrated sound out there
It also seems to be inclusive of all races. Blacks, whites, Asians & people of all nationalities get together and create music, All in the same band. Totally Awesome!!!!
@@steventheo69 calm down there, buddy. Metal is anything but inclusive. A few people of color spattered here and there but from my experiences at shows evidence points to the contrary. If you're performing people are tolerant because you're performing a role. If you're in the pit... Phew.
@@neomaredi5922 Country music is less inclusive. Minorities aren't really accepted. At least only in rare instances. Mostly white people.
Love to see Andre nikitina sample sitar
@@neomaredi5922 Nah lol. What shows have you been going to that you haven't seen many people of color or other races? I've seen plenty.
Once you two hand tap on sitar, its time for everyone else to just pack it up and go home. This is some truly next level stuff.

Shredding on the Sitar!
@@grigoriraspoutine9298 I second your sentiment!
The speed, clarity, melodic beauty and tightness of your playing are beyond insane.
The best part is that all of this is seen without compromising on the authenticity of the classical music
Its motivating me now to practice harder
Means a lot to hear that Sagar, I am super happy to read this. Thanks a lot for your support , can't wait to share the album..cheers! - Rishabh
Sagar Joshi: What an erudite and insightful comment. I feel exactly the same.
Yeah it's amazing, I love it, Imagine an electric Sitar, I wouldn't say no to more of that ! :D
Metal needs more stuff like this. New (to us) instruments and weird influences keep things fresh. Keep it up, dudes.
That was the most pleasant metal I’ve heard. It’s hard to make the sitar sound metal. I felt like I need to be dancing in a flower dress twirling around with two beers in my hands in a field full of flowers with the sun shining on my face.
That actually sounds pretty wholesome
Lol bruh, you trippin hard!
Bruh lay off the shrooms
Ha ha...As a Sitar player I assure u that I felt the same 😂😅
Two _beers_ , or two _bears_ ? 🐻🍻🐻
It's heavy, but you FEEL how heavy it is. You feel the weight of time. I love this. Not a cheap gimmick. This is amazing.

Tool should totally get you guys to open for the inevitable tour supporting the new album. Wonderful stuff!
nobody else Eh, kinda. I thought it sounds way more like Lateralus, and was overall better than 10Kdays... Then again 10kDays didn’t stray that far from Lateralus, so I can see why someone relates it to that too.
nobody else the new album sounds absolutely nothing like 10,000 Days. Fear Innoculum could only wish to be half as good as 10,000 Days. Not saying it’s anywhere near a bad album tho
Nikola Demitri the new album wasn’t better than anything on 10,000 Days imo
Ross Trbojevic hey my dude, you do you! Tbh I love 10kDays, but it’s still probably my 4th in line, if I was forced to rate all their albums from my favorite to least favorite. I’m definitely NOT saying that Finoculum blew 10kD out of the water, far from it! It’s just that after a ton of listens I prefer it as an album more than 10k, and that’s despite liking a couple 10K tracks more than any individual tracks on FI, but I’m more of an album guy, so that’s a big reason why I prefer one over the other, but certainly not the whole reason...
In my experience, and I’ve noticed this with many people, favorite albums (or songs/artists/etc) often comes down to said albums playing an important part youth, or some pivotal stage in one’s life. That’s a huge part of why Lateralus is by far my favorite Tool album, and Ænema is a strong number two, bc those albums had a huge impact on me as a teen, and Lateralus straight up changed the way I think about the world and started me down a “spiritual” path, as cheesy or cliche as that is.. Point being, that’s largely why I prefer one album to another, etc, as is the case with many other artists/albums I love. If I had to guess, I’m sure the same largely applies to yourself, and perhaps 10kDays was more “important” for you, and that influences what you prefer.
Either way, this isn’t really that important to me, certainly not a hill I’m gonna die on, and you go right on ahead and prefer whatever you think is best. Believe it or not, I know people who think the Opiate EP is their best album, as odd as that is! Anyway, I digress.. Sorry for the essay, have a good’n!✌️
Nikola Demitri I liked FI but if I had to rank every album I’d have to say Lateralus, 10,000 Days, Aenima, Fear Innoculum, Undertow, Opiate EP. Lateralus and 10,000 Days were the albums that got me into them
We need a bloodywood and sitar metal crossover
The world needs you guys to come back again
This pleases at least 90% of all the indian deities, I'm sure.
@Ultimate Game No, that song is pretty dope.
@Ultimate Game Yeah, well. I'm an atheist too, but there's literally millions of deities in Hindu religion. So if anyone has the biggest chance of probability for being right about a god, it's them. 😂
@Ultimate Game Well, I'll be... I was indeed just regurgitating something I heard somewhere, sometime, now that you critisize it. I believe the number was something about 3 million deities where I got it from.
Setting me straight on a false fact is very much appreciated. I'll check it out after work. 👍
@Ultimate Game No problem, we're good. I like learning new things. Being proven wrong is learning new things, so it's all fine.
But what do you mean with you were dehumanized? Can you give an example?

Everytime I watch this video and listen to the sound of Sitar blended with such heavy music, I feel proud. Proud of having the access to SITAR METAL. My goodness. Man in a country like India, it takes courage and rich amount of blood and sweat to experiment something like this and taking it to this level!!! Music like this may or may not be mainstream in future, but whoever gets hit hard by this freaking piece of extraordinary art can immediately sense this in their veins, body and chest. This is energy. So powerful. A splendid fucking experience. For you, Sitar Metal ladies and gentlemen.
maa saraswati has blessings on you🌸🌹♥️
I work as a masseuse and I apply the principles of Ayurveda to my work, in the background I play relaxing Indian music with bansuri flute or sitar, but outside the work environment I listen to Jinjer, Tool, Russian Circles and much more. You have just given me coherence between my two extreme sides. thanks from Italy
Incredible fusion of genres; a world-bridging affair at the very nexus of art. Well done!

That's what I thought too.
This is absolutely awesome. Traditional instruments still belong in modern music, maybe now more than ever because of how homogenized the sound of popular music has become.
I'm.... Blown........I never knew metal could fit into Indian classical so well.
Saraswati's own favourite.
This is the weirdest and coolest thing I've heard in a while.
Not to ding on other Indian bands in the metal scene - But I think this what we can truly call 'Indian' metal.. It has a soul. Everyone else is a really skilled pretender...
I come back and listen often. Love it!
I did not know I needed this in my life until now. That rocked!
I have to thank you because this is the only version of heavy metal that I can listen to these days without crying.
Love how they stick to Indian scales to and make their metal sound more eastern with an identity unlike many Indian metal acts.. who is just generic metal core with Hindi over it
I love wandering youtube and finding gems like this. It's wonderful to see the wonderful things people are doing with metal.
greetings from Turkey, love the tone of sitar. sitar could be a really rocky thing.
I'm absolutely speechless. The knowledge of music is at its peak. I thought this to be a kind of Oriental Metal stuff.
How wrong I was. I am just getting bewildered on the thought of the immense talent of the musicians for introducing such a kind of fusion.

Me after: Holy Damn, the algortithm got it right.
At the Iron Hill was missing, so I knew it wasn't BG.

Time Stands Still (At the Iron Hill)
This was a mind-blowing experience. Did not freaking know that a sitar could blend so well the genre.
Seriously amazing, waiting for the rest of the album.
Thank you so much Harsha \m/
You don't know how much i have searched for this band, you are giving indian music a new life
Yo those bhoolbhulaiya / chadramukhi / all those same theme movies inspired tunes in b/w feels so nostalgic ❤
This has got to be one of the most far-out things I've seen/heard in ages. A perfect fusion of 2 polar opposites in musical styles...I am utterly blown away. The only other time something close to this has occurred was in 1969, when the "Krishna-rock" band called QUINTESSENCE was formed. (Check out their 2nd eponymously-titled album, and listen to the track "Sea of Immortality.") This song and video just knocks me out...I wonder what Ravi would think???
I had a dream last night where I was in a concert of this Indian psychedelic/ progressive rock or metal band. I was very disappointed to realize it was just a dream and the band wasn't real. I had to search if anything like that band actually exists. So far, no, but I found this instead and am a lot happier now.

This is the best sitter metal video i heard... I found this video before 5 year ago and steel i am listening today also it is hard to anyone replace them. Last part is so emotional they put fillings very properly in music.
i came on this video on UA-cam because Arijit Singh himself post your link on Facebook.. and now i got to know why he shared this video.. Amazing work guys..
The use of keys to bridge the gap between the heavier-tone guitars and the sitar was genius. This is phenomenal
Sitar sounds out of this world when listened live. Recordings never do justice for this instrument. Our prayers in schools were based on sitar and beleive me none of them liked to end the prayers. It used to be so good. Sitar, santoor , veena and Indian bamboo flute are godly instruments which brings out human emotions and universal sounds.
I can only imagine. Wish I could be there.
One of the most beautiful and important things is young people embrace culture and transform it! Salute!
