You did a really great job with that from start to finish. It looks terrific on the shelf when it is all done. Good job.
I use a little gloss varnish on the eyes as it gives a shine to them and really makes them pop and stand out against the otherwise matt finish.
Also using the thumb tack for really tiny painting is a good tip.
