Interesting and looks great, but at 105 kg, it would not be suitable for most 4WD. I dont know any 4WD with a 105kg dynamic off-road roof rating, or am I missing something?
Building in all the premium features as standard does add some weight. The good news is Altitude is still compatible with a wide range of vehicles! We foresee the most popular fitments on; - Service body systems (LC70 & all dual cab ute's) - LC300 (Which we have developed and tested a vehicle specific mounting kit for) - LC200 series - Most gutter mount systems - Y62 Patrol (Which we have developed and tested a vehicle specific mounting kit for) - All ARB Canopies (using the internal reinforcement frame kit available) - American trucks on bed rack style mounting systems - Camper trailer & other solutions. Where we have not developed and tested a vehicle specific mounting solution for, it is certainly recommended to always check your vehicle manufacturers recommended roof load rating to make your own informed decision on what will or won't work for your set up. Feel free to get in touch with your local store if you have any further interest. Cheers!
ARB has developed & tested an LC300 specific roof mount that bolts the tent directly to the roof without the need for a roof rack. This saves the approx. 20kg of roof rack weight and noting that the Altitude is an evenly distributed & re-enforced load rather than a point load & is a fitment that we have tested & are comfortable with. Please feel free to get in touch with your store to check one out in person. :-)
@@ARB4x4Accessories My understanding is that a lc 300 has a dynamic load rate of less than 100 kgs but it seems that different dealers and people have different ideas and it is quite hard to find that information, l think asking your insurance company if they cover that modification would be the way to go.
Altitude is built for 4 seasons comfort. Although not shown in the video, all the windows & doors have black out canvas hatches that are simply zipped up in unfavorable weather. These keep the water out when packing away. If there is any condensation build up after sleeping in particularly cold climates, just make sure to either air out or wipe down this before packing away like any tent. Fitment of an awning as well as the tent will largely depend on your setup if your vehicle manufacturers recommended roof load capacity will allow for an awning as well. The vehicle specific blades do not allow for this.
Glad you like it :-) Altitude is built for 4 seasons comfort. Although not shown in the video, all the windows & doors have black out canvas hatches that are simply zipped up in unfavorable weather. Just remember due to the nature of canvas, the material needs to be weathered (hosed down properly) 3 times before first use.

My first RTT was an ARB that got mold (tropical destination sucks for RTT storage). As an owner of an aging James Baroud Grand Raid XXL (2014 purchase), this is high on my list as a replacement....until I saw the weight. Also wish it had a wider model as I need my elbow space when sleeping which makes 2 up difficult in these dimensions. Great job, ARB! If I get an Inneos Grenadier, this RTT would not be an issue on that roof rack.
105 kg off road rating seems heavy for most 4wd not sure for about 300 series but definitely ranger, hilux, dmax, bt50 and triton probably wouldn’t will have a hard time with their suspension + need to include all this load from your set up? For sure silverado and big rams can. Also why does the RTT 360° is see-through i get it looks cool and aesthetic but does it have any roll up cover?
I wonder why they didn’t show the canvas walls installed? One might assume there is an issue with auto up and then having to install the canvas afterwards and visa versa at pull down. Crawling around the bed when your dirTy and sweaty may not suit some peeps. And doing after you’ve showered and tired isn’t the best either. Or does it go up and down with the canvas on once installed?
Hi Michael, the Altitude can open & close with the all the windows & doors zipped up. The windows & doors simply have a zipper than closes these air flow points with a complete black out canvas if the weather is unfavorable. The marketing was simply done with these zipped open to show the 360* window views.
This will largely depend on your setup if your vehicle manufacturers recommended roof load capacity will allow for an awning as well. Keep in mind we do offer a side awning attachment for the tent for climbing in and out in adverse weather.
It would be best to chat to your local dealer as they have a lot more technical info about suitability and fitting. I do know that it is suitable on some canopies so you don't necessarily need a Bed Rack system, but again that would be best confirmed by a dealer
Pricing will depend on your location - representing the ultimate in off-grid Luxury, comfort & convenience and including premium features as standard, Altitude is on offer for $7249 AUD inc. GST in metro areas. :)
Maybe they can make Altitude "LITE" with stripped down features for Medium size UTES and Wagons like my Lexus GX 460 here in the USA 🤔 Like make it manual opening and delete the electronic systems

No thanks, I'll keep my FSR Evo2. My shell is metal, more durable, has a 270 awning with annex and is literally half the cost. I can clamshell it if need be and, closed, it's only 9 inches. This thing is overengineered and WAY overpriced. If I'm spending that kind of money, I might as well start looking at tow campers. It's pretty, but that about all it is imo. But hey, if you have that kind of money to blow, then knock your socks off. While you're at it, why not write a check for a cool grand and mail it to me.

Certainly not on a 300. Maybe some American 4x4's and the 200's. Marketing on top of a 300 is not right.
99% of othervroof top tents wouldweigh the same when you take into account they need for a roof rack

If you pack down the tent and the canvas is wet, does your bedding get wet?
If you use the vehicle specific blades, can you mount an awning?

This is dope!! I'm getting this for my Hummer H3!!
105kg! many vehicles and roof rack systems only offer 50-100kg dynamic load rating.
30% less if you look at dynamic off-road rating

Does the tent come with a hollow mesh under the mattress to stop the mattress absorbing water/condensation? Like Alucabs?

Obviously the weight of the product won't suit all vehicles, and yes the tent is fully sealable with heavy duty canvas windows.
Finally!!

Fantastic...when are they available in Ireland do you know and what price point is it aimed at pls...

Great job… But was the hot climate taken into account when choosing the fabric?
Altitude is built for 4 seasons comfort :) The large windows & doors for airflow + the included fan makes sleeping in the heat much more bearable.
if I touch the down button when somebody lie in it,,,,,what will happen
Very nice,I want one

Seems like this would be a bit sketchy in the wind. How about solar panel fan like in the James Baroud Odyssey?
Ope...ok...nevermind...I see the fan now.
Does this work with the Ascent Canopy and the Baserack?
Yes it does.
Just looked of the Uk website and is £6000 that’s just crazy it’s a tent yes a fancy one but still just a tent
W - O - W - !

is it only fly net? must have other layers if it's a 4 season tent....

Marketing miss here I would say not showing this feature at all in the video. all fun and games until "real" weather sets in :)
