Believe it or not gothamista video teach me to learn English better. Nowdays im watching gothamista video without any subtitle. Before this i need subtitle to understand.
The Calm serum is a lifesaver for windburnt cheeks! I'm glad to hear the formula isn't changing. It's already perfect.
Paula's choice has blossomed into the most knowledgeable prestige brand for skin, where 25 years ago we thought the ladies in the labcoats at a certain counter selling us alcohol astringents we're right and we were using their alcohol laden toners wrong!
Loving the bit of the greens on the background, Renee ❤
I appreciate all your videos. You are very informative and I find you soothing to listen to, which is a plus.
This video couldn't come at a better time. My skin has been so grouchy and reactive lately. My barrier needs a tight hug!
Pyunkung yul intensive repair cream worked so well for me last night. Just needed an extra something something different than CeraVe cream. Even my rice face mask was not doing the job
Thanks for this review. I recently had a chemical peel that destroyed my skin barrier. I bought a travel size set of this to use system to use until I get back on an even keel. I've been using some of Paula's products since she first launched.
You look radiant and lovely as always😊Thank you for all the product recommendations. Just made a huge Paulas choice order.
She Calms Me Down😌
I am so excited! I feel like you and I have twin skin! I love Paula’s choice and I had all sorts of same problems in the 80s and 90s with harsh formula’s! I remember using Clinique toners even though they were making my skin so red! No wonder I had constant acne and rashes. I love the way you describe products. Makes me confident in purchasing your recommendations and have not been disappointed yet! Also love the word ‘skin-tuition’… definitely going to add it to my vocabulary! Thank you!
I'm probably around the same age as Gothamista and chuckled at the memory lane. I stayed away from most skincare for the longest time because of all the bad reactions, only used olive oil (Hey J.Lo).
Omg I need some but I’ll wait for a sale. Lately I have been branching to Paula. I have been enjoying the omega line.
I'm going to be using these products, too. My first knowledge of good skincare came from Paula's Choice about 15 years ago. I still look to them for education.
I have been a PC fan for about 20 years too. I recommend them to everyone.
I love the sound of the cleanser.
Congrats on this collaboration!!🎉
I've also been using PC for a very long time! About 25 years!
Great timing. I just switched back to the Calm line last night as my skin has reacted to something. I am looking forward to getting the updated products, especially as Renee first taught me about skin barrier repair. Thank you!
I love anything that you have a hand in and I love Paulas choice. I've always cherry picked my routines but I think I'm going to buy this whole collection. THANKS!
So interesting about rosacea - I avoid all essential oils/fragrance in my products. But I've noticed that cutting out wheat has really improved my red cheeks.
I avoid the same. I have also noticed since I'm a non diabetic now my rosacea is not as bad as it was. In the past, I used probiotics for my stomach and that helped a lot with rosacea and many other systematic issues I have.
@@mignonalverson655 which probiotics? I'm not sure what triggers it more, histamine foods or not having enough good gut bacteria! Frustrating.
@@qingdaogrrl Hi Joan! I order mine off Amazon. I forget the brand because I haven't used them for about a year. I'm going back to them the beginning of Dec. 2022. I think just about any probiotic supplement is fine. My rosacea triggers are the sun, spicy food, anxiety, and too much coffee. I noticed a difference in how my gut felt. My skin was a bit better too.
@@mignonalverson655 great info. Thanks!
@@mignonalverson655 the sun for me too. Crazy!
So exciting!
Hi Renee, I’ll definitely try out this series. Btw, I love your top, can you share what brand and style is it? Thanks!
Very interesting and congrats to the collab! Maybe I missed it, what was your role ok the reformulation?
Sounds amazing ❤❤❤
I appreciate your thorough video on this line, love PC and so many on YT attack this line re cost. It's a quality line and they have frequent sales, so for me it is affordable. I'll check out this line, thanks!
Yes, I love it! Everything sounds right up my alley. Especially that bha! As a dry/sensitive skin person.
Trust your judgment and advice the most.
Hi there, looks like the new formulas aren’t available in the UK yet, any idea when they will become available here? 🥰
Will you have a Wishtrend holiday box this year?? Please let us know so we can plan accordingly!!! Love you!!
We need to make “skintuition” happen 😂
Can you do a review on the French brand filorga. The only sunscreen formula I loved was their's. Their night cream was also amazing. I'd love to have a review of filorga products from you. Love all of your videos. 💖💖
Would you do another updated video of hair products or vitamins that addresses hair pull out and breakage.. thanks.
Congratulations 🎉🎯🎊. I totally agree, all skin has a degree of sensitivity, so all skin should be treated as such! What I have from her I like.
I'm hesitating between the Paula's Choice Nourishing Milky Toner and the Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide.
hi renee! how does the calming cleanser compare to your favourite optimal results hydrating cleanser from Paula's Choice? which would be better for a damaged skin barrier?
Can you try out Osea?! I’d love your feedback on the skincare line!!
Super proud of you! Just used the entire line and omg my dehydrated acne prone sensitive skin feels great! The ingredients are unreal! Congrats on the launch and inspiring beauty creators like me with your content! Sending hugs @skincarecharmer 💙💚☺️
I've seen about 3 videos with a short introduction to the cleanser. What I have noticed is people are applying it to a dry face or their dry hand. What's up with that? The directions say apply it to a wet face. Or am I blind? 🤣
Good calming skin
Will this line be also available/updated in Europe anytime soon?
Do you know when this will launch in Australia?
Looking forward to trying this new line. If you approve it then it has to be a winner!
What a coincidence!! I just bought the Calm serum this morning along with a few empties I needed again (plus right now they have a special where you get a free exfoliant peel-- the 25% AHA+2% BHA one-- for free when spending 75$ hehe.. my all time favorite peel!). It'll be my first time trying it out but I'm so excited! I'm also happy the hyaluronic acid, ceramides and cholesterol are so high up on the ingredients list🥰
How’s it working for u
Calm line is amazing...Now we have new improved products. Fantastic...
Do you know if the calm line in Europe (Germany) will be also updated? It looks so good! 😇
Hi Rene
Can you check out LPG endermologie The hydration range please?
Toner has ingredients that are not in my regime now.
Is the current CALM sunscreen staying since I'm not seeing any new sunscreens in this video?
They just released the new SPF for the Calm Line
I can’t use hyaluronic acid. And it is in nearly everything…
So sad not available in Australia….is it coming soon?
Is this replacing the current CALM range? Please no.
Hi Renee how can I incorporate the serum with my Altreno. I'm starting Tretinoin for the first time and the serum sounds lovely. Before or after Altreno? Help😏. Thanks 😘
If your doctor told you to use your tretinoin before moisturizer, then it'd be best to use the serum after tretinoin, then moisturizer.
@@Leuca. thank you I never even used retinol, going straight on Tretinoin. 😬
@@jenniferlee9029 You should definitely be able to incorporate the serum and a moisturizer along with your tret. No actives that would make it less effective. Good luck!
I would use the serum in the morning. When I was just starting Tretinoin I found I couldn’t use anything other than moisturizer and Tretinoin in the evening. I used the moisturizer first, let it absorb and then applied a pea sized amount of Tretinoin. I used Tretinoin one night a week for the first month, two the second month. Yes, this takes a long time to get up to six or seven nights a week but Tretinoin takes a long time for most people to get used to. Good luck, if you can adjust to Tretinoin it will be worth it.
I had bought the serum thrice. I cannot use it when I suffer redness. But rather after the next day. Because it stings. I had also bought moisturizer and it stings everytime even when I don't suffer redness. I believe it is because from those "plant antioxidants" because other ingredients doesn't sting when seen on other products.
I bought the CALM cleanser, milky toner, and the 1% salicylic acid. I’m not sure what the heck is in this but all 3 are making my nose itch and flaring up my allergies. I’m so sad because I wanted these to work. 😣
I bought the calm line the cleanser toner and serum. Are u not liking it ?
I wonder why . I thought this is good for redness
@@charlenesoliva1129 I loved the cleanser till it affected my allergies. The toner did the same and it felt sticky. The 1% bha made my nose itch really bad It irritated my allergies as well. My eyes would swell up because of it. I didn’t apply anywhere near my eyes either. I think it’s the extra antioxidants that’s in the formula. It’s unnecessary and wish they kept the formula more simple. Oh well. It didn’t work out for me.
I wish for you to help with product Recommendations, something easy and minimalist for a busy Mom. I am 40 years old very stressed and underslept. I have a very sensitive like a baby, delicate skin that can't tolerate harsh ingredients like retinoids, vit c , salicylic/glycolic acid, benzoyl is a big no and essential oils are also irritating for my skin. Lactic acid seems beautiful but it also irritates my skin. My skin feels tight/ dehydrated and stripped by all the cleansers yet it is combination skin type with tzone and the acne scars after that time of month a bit reactive. It feels greyish due to iron deficiency though I have a fair complexion so the acne scar and periods cause grey unhealthy, sallow skin even the eyelids are greyish pigmented. I wish for a soothing skincare that I would love to use and not worry about the breakouts? Kindly recommend me the ideal options? What would be ideal for first cleanse?
Cerave and cetaphil are great for on a budget. I would stay away from Olay or L'Oréal unless they work for you. For me, personally, both brands SUCK for my skin. They leave product residue on my skin or make me look OLDER.
If you have a higher budget I really reccomend La roche posay. Great brand for sensitive skin. Clinique is also alright, for some products. (Psst, their toner isn't needed)
My recommendation: (Not a doctor)
Cleanser-cerave or cetaphil. Anything cheap really that works for you. A cleanser mostly ends up down the drain anyway so I stick to cheap.
Toner- no need (tosses away)
Exfoliator-Paula's choice (2% or this new 1%)
Serum-That is tougher as there are a lot out there. I like ROC brand for on a budget. The Ordinary is good too. ❤️
Also I've heard good things about the inkey list.
Mositurizer: No OLAY or LOREAL. La roche posay is good. Clinique is alright if you aren't allergic to it like I am lol
Sunscreen: I use just regular body sunscreen on my face but I've heard La roche posay sunscreen is nice.
Eye cream: cetaphil or cerave works for me
It's all about trying stuff really and seeing what works.
Edit: I use Tatcha's dewy skin cream right now for my mositurizer but it works for my very dry skin. La roche posay is my second alternative brand
It sounds like you have a damaged skin barrier. I'm sure Renee has a video on repairing your skin barrier.
You can check out Aveeno's Calm+Restore line, the products are pretty gentle! As for sunscreen, there are a lot of good Korean ones that can also cater to sensitive skin: Beauty of Joseon, Isntree. Or European ones such as La Roche Posay, Avene and Garnier.. 💞
I'd personally use the lactic acid 2x a week, and instead use retinoids (tretinoin is the gold standard for anti-aging) at night, starting slowly and build up to every other night.. Good luck!! 💞
My sweet sister i am a teenage girl and I got body skin dryness wrinkle these are not a wrinkle but my body skin feels stretch like wrinkles what i do please give me some tips and products name please. Sorry for my poor English

Your face is beautiful
Finally a 1% BHA 😭😭
This 1% BHA in the Calm collection has actually been available since the collection launched several years ago, 2016! I use it myself. It's much more gentle. 😊
Is line chemically free
avoiding chemicals is impossible. water is a chemical and you need it to live.
There’s no such thing
