I've had mine for about 5 years now and it's never dissapointed. Obviously for Cassette's it's not as good as a proper cassette deck but it does the job.
I bought mine to create my own cassette audio very easy to use select cd play insert the disc press pause insert the blank cassette press the 2 buttons down together on the right hand side then press the pause again on the cd and start creating your own audio off your cd ...... very easy .
Just bought one from Argos and taking it straight back, no light on power up, no sound, tuner not doing anything but strangely the mechanical function of rotation works in the cassette deck, no sound at all.
Hi The bass is quite tinny, the volume is loud enough to fill an average size room, It's ok quality in general, not sure if I would use it for a party though, the lack of bass makes it inadequate for that, but for listening to CDs or the radio in quiet surroundings it's fine for that
I haven't used the cassette player for quite a long time, but if the door won't shut try putting the tape in the other way up, I know it sounds obvious and you've probably already tried that so if it doesn't shut there must be a design fault on your particular player
Hi, it could over time cause some issues, ie.. it could possibly blow a fuse if the disc is still playing when turned off at the wall, however it seems you have little choice, it could be a connection between the on/off button and the circuit board, it should be an easy fix for any electrical repairs shop, don’t attempt it yourself though as it’s very risky dealing with laser operated machinery, I hope you get it sorted out

Yes it does what it says on the tin, for a cheap little CD and Cassette player it performs pretty well

hi there! my cassette door won’t shut with a cassette in it any ideas why?

How the hell do you put the cd in? Open the lid and what just let it rest on the spindle so it spins with no secure fittings??
Yes you just put the cd in and shut the lid, somehow it stays stable
@gaf68tv how do you take it out?
I have one of these but cannot get the cd on/off button to work.
So I just switch off at the wall, is this Okay?
