I don't personally think the Scouts deserve to be in 12th right now. They deserve to be in 13th, and the Mandarins deserve to be in 12th. This show is nowhere near as interesting or creative as this year's Mandarins. I don't mean any offense to the Scouts, they are a fantastic corps, but I don't think they've done enough to deserve finals this year.
I can kind of understand your claim, but if you look at everything that goes on in this show, and everything each player is taxed with doing, you can see that this is a very finals worthy show. The message it gives off is way more dynamic than the Mandarin's, and you can see the character being portrayed very obviously. I can't say I know exactly what this show is about, but I can say that I definitely don't know what is going on in the Mandarin's show, aside from it being cool music choices and choreo. Also, your opinion is totally valid, but the scores come from what the judges saw as being technically correct in all of the captions, which was just more correct, meaning everyone did their parts correctly, with excellent intricacy. I must say though, its all drum corps, and all of it is for entertainment. I don't hate a single one of these shows because they all have had their fair share of work put into.
