At the very end of the show, out of the four color guard members in the very front shoulder to shoulder, the two on the right were crying real tears because this was their very last show with the scouts.
Simply moved to tears. A spectacular performance by the most gifted young musicians of the time. To both the players and the viewers, how can you not be touche by this. This is the highest of art and music.
Madison Scouts one of my all-time favorite Junior drum and bugle course always put on an exciting show especially in, 1975 when they won the DCI World Championship they took the house down. In 20 203, I followed them with my Diesel Pusher motorhome mark from contest to contest. After they would finish competing they would hop on that bus and I would follow them pulling my car behind my Diesel Pusher motorhome. It was difficult to keep up with them they did not slow down at all.. great organization . I remembered TCI giving them a hard time as far as scores because they would not conform to what DCI was insisting on. They held out as long as they could then eventually they had to cave. I remember speaking to some of the members that were upset that scores were being held back because they would not comply many members were very upset because it was very unfair they thought as well as I did one of the soprano players with my talking to he mentioned they were selling the Drum Corps history book volume 2 I didn't realize it was available so I bought it from him he went to get it and I have it ever since❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Madison's choreography was completely rewritten from the beginning of the season, thankfully. The revised choreo made more sense, and was more authentic to the military characters they were playing.
Thanks for posting...one helluva show! but my fav is empire state of mind...too bad jayzee was such an ass,(that was the case wasnt it?) cause u gotta see it when ur listening...the passion...ill never forget seeing that show live. we go every season. Sure gonna miss this yrs tho...
The last GREAT performance by my Madison Scouts!! I was there, I volunteered, it was prolific. What has happened?? I will continue to support the Scouts, and, it makes me sad, very sad to see greatness become mediocre.
I thought using the corps song really tied the parallels between the brotherhood of Madison Scouts and of military units beautifully, especially given drum corps’ roots in the military.
I joined the USN in 2015 and have lost friends overseas, so it hits so much differently now. 11 years later and I still bawl like a baby ❤
This show still brings the same feelings I got 10 years ago. Tears every time
like many of the Scouts' shows, they are under placed, underrated, underappreciated, etc
I had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the finals night brass judge tape at their most recent audition camp. It was AMAZING.
Ngl some of what was pretty funny, man said aight I gotta go back to work💀
So many spine-tingling moments in this show! Surely one of the all time best openers!
I came looking specifically for You’ll Never Walk Alone, and I was not disappointed. Beautiful
Listening here in 2023 happy 4th of July weekend everyone stay safe❤️
My son was a trumpet player with Madison Scouts in 2013. In this show he had 2 solos one at 7:22 mark and one at 11:05. Great performance by all.
your kid did you right. beautiful job,
Oh how I miss this Corp!

Percussion was no joke that season!
Yes Sir 💯
Right after 1:00 minute in shot of drumline, sets up company front, ContraBass player spies a cone on his set ... kicks cone to the curb.
BADASS
This is the Madison Scouts I'm looking for 💯.
I think we're all looking for this. The last few seasons have been disappointing, to say the least. Also, I can't watch this show without tearing up.

Their entrance onto the field is exactly what a marching college band will do
Awesome show....!!!
Bastards know how to make an entrance !! God bless them !!
A surprisingly sad show but I loved it
USA! Would've liked flag presentation like old days. Loved YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.
Ending gave me chills. Bravo Bravo

After seeing this show, its going to be weird that they will be co-ed. I wish this legacy could continue.

@@sammymcclenton7520 I agree with you 100%. To make things have changed in the activity, in my opinion not for the better.

They turned themselves into helicopters
Indeed
funniest shit i've ever seen
1991 Santa Clara Vanguard's Miss Saigon show, you're welcome.
Play stuff like this and fine everything evenly then ya'll are designed for your championship future show/shows.
nope.
Why, just curious...
Ok bro
As an alumnus I say this, You’ll Never Walk Alone really doesn’t belong on the field, IMO. Poor design decision.
Not even as a 75th anniversary ? I thot it was a nice nod. I am not an alum though, so there is more to it than what I saw and heard I am sure.

@@bensteinberg2154 Exactly 💯.

And I think
It was WONDERFUL CHOICE...
So glad they finally have woman.
