Thats pretty sad from T-Mobile. The Starlink Constellation is massive and yet you’re lucky if a text message actually works. I’ll wait for Verizon and AT&T to rollout their full 5g broadband AST Spacemobile satellite constellation. They already did video test calls on the first 5 satellites already up there. But I guess T Mobile and Starlink can say “They did it first” but this is pretty bad and I’m guessing this Starlink service will only ever be limited text.
Interesting. Yes it's sad on t-mobile's part. But A&At & Verizon barely have reliable 5g networks, and this is supposed to just give them full 5g everywhere huh based on your comment? We all know that's bullshit 🤣
This is supposed to be full coverage. Embarrassing. When you get around to the AST SpaceMobile beta, it will be intermittent due to not having enough satellites in orbit, but it will work far better than this when it's connected! Looking forward to seeing the comparison!
Bro think about it, you struggle with starlink while they have hundreds of satellites in space while the CEO of Vodaphone made a FaceTime with a guy who was deep high in a mountain WITH lots of clouds using Space mobile satellites and they only have 5 Blue Birds in the air. You think the CEO of Vodaphone would put her reputation on the line if it clearly didn't work? That's not something starlink can patch., they would have to completely redesign their satellites. In time I hope you realize it.
@ you are really good at pointing out the obvious and thinking that you made a profound statement. AST SpaceMobile will not have ubiquitous coverage immediately as the constellation is not complete. Nobody claimed AST had full coverage, just that the satellites work far better when they are in range. You'll get internet when an AST satellite is overhead whereas you are lucky if you even get a text through to the overhead Starlink satellite. Eventually the AST constellation will be overhead at all times so there is really no substance to your objection. Starlink already has ubiquitous coverage and this is the best they can do.
@ well duh, they just got approval to do their testing the other day. You're acting like Starlink didn't just start their beta testing like a week ago and AST is super far behind.
No problem, great video - Globalstar stock got hit hard (negatively) as a result of this starlink announcement… your video supports the importance of the Globalstar satellite spectrum for Apple & iPhones. Great work.
