I have been fishing for Black Fish for over 30 years and this guy is spot on in what he is saying. This is the best video on catching Black Fish I have seen . Thanks for posting it mate.
This style of fishing is called trotting, very traditional in England and still one of the best methods for catching fish from a boat in fast water. Longer the Rod the better.
Rather than pulling from the drag/baitrunner you can just open the bailarm and feather the line with your finger.
Great video
Thanks for the new video Scotty!

Thanks Paul ☝️
ive caught good masses near Jervis bay from willamia and husky all the way round the Bay on a trick called salad wrapping were i bait the hook with weed and mould bread around it hans the expression salad wrapping
Nice little trick as they love a bread burly when fishing the rock we catch them mixed in with Pigs and Trevally all the time catching them on Prawns, Bread, Nippers great fun. Thanks for your tip will give that a try. Regards Scotty & Paul
If you boys r sucessful just give me a shout out to Thomas Drivas as thats my name as i would love to start my own show on tv one day like you guys have cause I can both catch and cook best of luck and im only young 18 years
Great video, how far off the bottom do you keep your weed? There are a few places i want to try, one of them is the wharf you use at sans souci. I also want to try another place that im not sure how deep it is but its pretty shallow
Sans Souci wharf is a great spot Ive seem many anglers catching Black fish their. Bait about 500mm to 1000mm off bottom should do good luck. Thanks for tuning in and please subscribe to our channel and share with

i've tried the weed berley but sadly all i managed to get were spotties/wrasse and 1 baby parore/luderick but i recon i was fishing in a bad moon phase. they fight really especially on light gear lol
Basic_Fishing
Luderick can be tricky to crack especially in a new are and time on the water will help , try different tides and i always found they are difficult after some decent rain .
Local knowledge will help you if you can get any , especially when it comes to getting bait as many fishos keep this a closely guarded secret .
Your moon phase idea could come into play as it along with the sun control the tide heights and too much run in the water can make float fishing really Hard .
Ye spot on winter time and the run out is my favourite. Thanks for tuning in and please subscribe to our channel and share with

because it turns a simple cheap rig that works into an expensive one, which it really doesn't need to be. $10 for a float, no thanks ill stick to the $2 or DYI options
haha iso style is a japanese style which is really popular in Asia nowadays
Damn it Scotty now i want to dust off the old steelite and go and watch a an orange stick drifting down the river !

I always lightly grease line so it floats
you never mentioned that Blackfish come on the bite at certain times ..I found in the river it is half runout tide till just the turn of the run in that is when they are hungry
targeting these off break walls is where its at
Yes great fun spent time as a kid on holidays fishing the north coast break walls for them, thanks for tuning in
remember new clips every Friday on The Hook and the Cook.
