I have. It is a sight to behold. My parents had a 1962 Chrysler Newport with the Astradome panelesant lighting. Even as young as I was, I was taken aback by the the beauty of the dash lights at night. Chrysler really outdid themselves back then.. On a side note, the Golden Tone radio sounded really good. I don't know if AM stations were stronger and better in the 60's, but it had a warm sound that I cant replicate on any new AM radio. I think it was partial transistor and tube radio It would take about 30 seconds for the radio to warm up and start playing. It was like that since new.

The interior of the 1960 New Yorker has always been one of my favorites. Such a neat look! It would be one of the few cars I'd want to have if I could have an old car.
i own a '62 imperial crown 2 door, i love the electro luminescent dashes these cars all had in them, that "fishbowl" dash ought to be goeqeous after dark, and chrysler rode wayyy better than any cadillac, i absolutely love the 2 door styling of this wagon, too bad there are so few of them left, whether this had the 361, or the 413, it had moer than enough power to get on down the road, thank you for showing it to us
Some confusion here. The Chrysler and the Imperial really had different road characteristics. The primary reason being they were different vehicles entirely. The Chrysler was a uni-body C platform car where as the Imperial was a D Platform car with a Body on Frame construction. No Imperial had a 361, they were only equipped in 1962 with the 413. Not sure what you mean about "fish bowl" Dash board on the Imperial? I own a 62 Crown Convertible and it's dash board speedometer is a rectangular Flat Glass structure with a thermometer type speed gage. The Chrysler Cars had a Astro Dome big circular modular Dash/Instrument Panel entirely different from the Imperial, again, they are different cars.

Sales figures from the day would say the opposite. It was a 15% increase in sales over the previous years. Clearly some folks found them appealing. On the fuel consumption, not that much different from today, about 15 to 17 miles per gallon.....about the same as today's SUV's

We had one new, it was a superb car. The panel scent lighting was not only beautiful and easy to read, but no glare at all.

times change, I still think Chrysler is one of the better car companies that exist.....no car company from 1960 is the same today
