- Come spend the day with us at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer, Alaska. We were hoping the rain would scare some people off, but the sun came out and so did the people. We saw a great dog show and learned how to fillet a salmon with and ulu knife! I hope you enjoy hanging out with us at the fair.

I really enjoyed the state fair, the little goat's at the beginning were so gorgeous. The dog show was brilliant, those dog's are so clever. Mary your new outfits are beautiful, and they look perfect on you. The mountains were absolutely stunning, even with bad weather Alaska is beautiful. Keep well and stay safe. The baby goats were adorable 😍 and I am so happy that people have the energy to keep up with those types of dogs. I got Beean mainly to wear out Kip and it worked, but I was hoping she would encourage me to get more exercise 😉 I have made that drive, many, many times, it looks different almost every time, the weather, the time of year, I will never tire of it 🥰 thank you, I think Mary made some good choices for the winter. The Chugach mountains are beautiful. I love living in the interior, but if I had to move, that's where I would love to be ❤ funny how we gravitated to the animals at the fair. Because they did 3 entire weekends some of our favorite shows were not there 😒 we still had fun and saved room for dinner, lol. You take care too 🤗
Hi Bears. Nice day at the Fair ... glad the weather cleared and you could enjoy the day more. The air B&B you stayed in looked nice and cozy. We see cows when we go out. They live a couple of miles down the road. Several years ago, one got out on the road and we went to let the farmer know. It ended well. The cow got home safely! Mary's new clothes are very cute and look nice. Hope Heather and Faith enjoyed their gifts. Very thoughtful to get them. Monday Measures .... yeah! I am going to do better this time with planning my Mondays so I won't miss any. Have a great week and thanks for the videos.
Hello 👋 the day was amazing, we would have stayed longer but were getting hot and tons of people were showing up. Pretty soon after we left it started raining, so that was a good call Mary ended up with a cold from all of the strange weather I suppose. Those cows didn't look like they were fenced in on the road side it was so strange. A loose cow sounds crazy, haha, we end up with loose horses and goats in town sometimes, it's quite the scene. Everyone loved their gifts. Mary paid for the whole trip, I paid for the AirBNB. She wanted to see her friend that lives in Anchorage and she loves Target, which we don't have here. I am running out of time today, so Monday Measures is probably going to be strange and short, LOL 😆 I hope all is well with you, have an awesome week.

Please think about taking some time to rest, catch up, etc. If you miss a little time in posting, your videos will definitely be missed but we hope you keep this fun for you and not all work. @@karenschutte2856 Monday Measures are really no big deal, we are cooking anyway and they are easy to edit, problem was we weren't cooking at home a lot and if we were it was easy meals.
So much fun to travel with you-all the way from Canada!! lol

Palmar is such a beautiful place. Love when you bears go there. Of course the lil goats(kids) were adorable . Loved the dogs..looks like they were a big hit...so sad about the statistics on how many dogs are euthanized. Great awareness and entertainment through these dogs. Loved that Mary found some goodies shopping. Have a great week..much love sent your way.
I love the Palmer area, I was hoping to make it to Hatcher Pass and Independence mine this year. Those statistics blew my mind, I had no idea, I am so glad that Beean was a rescue of sorts. She came from a bad situation as a puppy. And that Mary, she is a shopper for sure, good thing she has an education, haha.

Hoping to get my mommy makeover this summer God willing when I have time off. I wanting to know what to expect. Thanks for all your information it’s helping me to plan ahead.
Oh Sherri, I love those Cabins. I stayed in them whenever I could. I seen people use portable Propane mini stoves to cook. They still don't have the modern 'convienences' still, do they? Mary, to me it still comes down to the Poor Ground Hog that is pulled out of its Burough once or twice a year that 'fore tells' the coming summer and winter. I hope that the next time, that Ground Hog either bites the hand of the person that pulls him out of or bites him and won't let go. And I trust that Ground Hog more than I do the 'weatherman' and his satellites they use to 'predict' the weather. I would love to have the pool your showing but how much does it cost? I can imagine it being a small fortune. But no train sets still? The weather usually was the reason as they were very popular back in the day. Its a wonderful reminder of the Alaskan State Fair. Almost 2 thousand!
I hope to buy the piece of property next to me and put a duplex cabin on it very similar to the one we stayed in. I was really excited to stay there. It turned out to be a beautiful day, so people came from nowhere, it got so crowned we decided to leave. We got too hot anyway. As soon as we left it did start to rain again. We saw just about everything though.
@@AlaskanBearsVlogs From what I have researched online as to homes and rental homes and other places, that seems to be what people are doing as more service men are coming to Elison AFB. It would be a nice boost to your budget.

This is the big fair down in the Palmer/Anchorage area. The 2023 dates are August 18th to September 4th.
